I’ve eaten here a few times. Good food for the price. They have the best green and garlic sauces for tostones. I also highly recommend the pollo a la brasa. It’s always tender and falls right off the bone. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is small and quaint.

Excellent excellent excellent! Whatever you order from this place is delicious. I usually get ceviche and a chicken combo. Never been disappointed. Ordered today they quoted me a forty minute delivery time they were here in a half hour. Reasonably priced and if you think it’s overpriced when you get your food you’ll know where you spent the extra money. I’ve also eaten in the restaurant and it’s a very nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers and wines and I’ve never had it but I see the sangria they serve and it looks really good. Highly recommended. Five stars.

I’ve been to both of there locations over 15 + times and I continuously encounter bad visits. so First off this restaurant hardly has any waiters or waitresses hanging around. They can’t understand English and when you call the phone to order something you might as well hang up because they won’t understand anything you’re saying if you’re not speaking Spanish. The only good thing there is the sangria, which is sometimes way too strong and the chicken besides that everything else is distasteful. The customer service is OK. Overall I wouldn’t go here anymore. PIOPIO has authentic Peruvian food.

If you order from this restaurant, BEWARE! Especially when using a credit card with them. They are crooks and I will never order from this restaurant again. I placed an order through GrubHub on my credit card. They didn’t send all of the food so I signed a receipt for $ 21 which was the amount for the food that I actually received. When I checked my statement, they charged me for the full order that I placed but did not receive. GrubHub contacted them multiple times(starting the night of the order) and I was told«El Anzuelo Fino refused to issue a refund for the missing food.» How do you charge someone for food you never prepared or sent??? .

I was extremely dissapointed with the food and service. The sopa de gallina was insanely nasty. The hen was tasteless. The main course was bland but i survived. The best part of my meal was the side salad. I’ve never eaten better tasting lettuce.

A small authentic restaurant where Spanish is the language of choice among the customers. The menu is quite large and had loads of options to choose from. Overall the food was good, but not all that memorable and I was not left wanting more. Once seated we were brought a bowl of toasted Cuzco corn and plantain chips along with some green sauce. It was great to munch on while waiting for our food. We were told that the Chicha Morado(the purple non-alcoholic drink) was homemade and it didn’t disappoint; it was sweet and yummy. Causa is layered cold mashed potato with a mayo based chicken salad. This is something my husband really enjoyed but I didn’t think it was anything special. The Tamales Criollos, Peruvian style tamales, were silky and tasty. I opted for the Ceviche De Corvina as a main course. A large portion of fish accompanied by a slice of sweet potato and some Cuzco corn. The fish was tender, but not melt in your mouth tender and the flavor was a bit one dimensional. I had requested spicy, but the waitress misunderstood as the bill said«poco picante». More heat may have made it better. The Cabrito A La Norteña is a braised goat stewed dish served with rice and beans. The flavor was robust and it was a very rich dish. I was really excited to try this place, maybe I was there on an off night, but I didn’t love it like I thought I would.

Authentic Peruvian food and signature rotisserie chicken. Most of the apps are great and my faves are huancaina and chicharron de pollo. Ceviche is near perfect and the corvina a lo macho is the best in town.

Jamaica Ave once again keeps me returning for morning, afternoon and evening meals, wether dining in or taking out. El Anzuelo Fino has taken a significant decorative step past what any other Jamaica Avenue restaurants have to offer, setting a wonderful ambiance tone. Koi fish swimming in an open air rectangular pond set against the near wall on the floor.(Ladies, watch where you place your handbags.) Decorative pottery sits on unique shelving at the entrance, large screen TV placed perfectly unobtrusively. Looking for a dinner suggestion based on my lack of knowledge with Peruvian food, our server Sebastian was a great help. Ceviche Mixito was not exactly pico on the picante, proving too spicy for the girlfriend and certainly got my attention upon switching plates. Aji De Gallina with white rice was a nice balance of strips of chicken in a wonderfully flavorful cream sauce. At $ 18.00 I thought the sangria to be a bit pricey and the Leche Asada(Flan) appeared to be sitting in the fridge a bit too long as the chocolate topping was quite rubbery and had the texture of a radiator gasket. These two issues kept El Anzuelo Fino from a fifth star which they are deserving of.

I’m giving this restaurant only one star due to the fact that the staff was very rude over the phone when I tried to make an order for delivery. The lady asked for my address and once I told her she was like«ohh. That’s a little far, but let’s see what you want to order» just by that made me not want to order nor go to this place. How do they not expect a customer to feel discourage about ordering from them after a comment like that? I didn’t like that at all!.. Will not recommend this location to any of my friends or family members.

Just came back from having dinner… first time and weren’t disappointed. We had the #1 combo to share, 3 adults, more than enough food. Actually still brought home some leftovers, yum! The chicken was tender & juicy, rice and beans were flavorful, maduros & tostones were pretty good as well. The salad that it comes with — very bland and dry :-/ The pitcher of sangria btw is only $ 18 — cant beat the price! Its so good too! Service was great as well, I know some of the reviews say service sucks here, by im guessing they changed the staff, the waitress even offered to heat up my baby’s bottle for me without me having to ask her! Super sweet :) Overall, great experience!

I usually get this food delivered and the dishes are consistently good. Suitable place for a decent meal when you don’t feel like cooking. Tonight, I had dinner in the restaurant and ordered the Combo Caribeño — a lot of food for 2 people with enough for leftovers. The only sticking point that brought my rating to 3 was the service — waitress never checked in on us after the meal came out and it took awhile for her to get to us once we were ready for the check.

Anyone living in Richmond Hill can tell you when it comes to good food, especially places you’d like to eat at, Richmond Hill could use more variety. El Anzuelo Fino looks much the same way many restaurants in the area do, but the food is VERY good(their lomo saltado, chaufa de pollo are great and they have good sangrias), but my only complaint is how expensive their food is especially for the area. A chaufa de pollo(just one), a small order of tostones and maybe a Pepsi will land me at almost $ 20, and it’s annoying that they don’t accept credit cards via telephone(you can only pay cash for delivery orders). Once they work on the pricing and on methods of payment for delivery, it would be much better.

I literally joined Unilocal to bring JUSTICE to this letdown of a restaurant. I absolutely ADORE Peruvian food and was extremely excited to enjoy a delicious plateful of ceviche. As soon as we entered(a special friend and I), I immediately regretted my decision. Not only was this place too small and cramped for comfort, we were rattled by the unnecessarily loud volume from the TV. We were sandwiched into a corner and watched everyone being offered water except for us. The waitress took our order and being optimistic, expected our experience to trump the awful first impression we received. Once she plopped my ceviche and my date’s bistec a lo pobre onto our child sized table, we were completely ignored. We were left without condiments & drink refills, but served cheap cuts of meat. Although my ceviche was tasty, the steak was subpar. Never have I felt so invisible. Being a former employee at a restaurant, I understand what that service is key to any form of hospitality(which happens to be the category that restaurants fall under). Apparently El Anquillo Fino did not reveive that memo. Dining out is not solely the food but also the experience and this experience was terrible. This was a disappointment. I will never go here again. RUN!

I love this place, tho its a bit pricy but I’m always eating here or having it delivered. Food is real good with nice flavor’s. I LOVE there arroz tacu tacu its rice w/butter beans, scrambled egg and sliced red onions the onions has a little vinegar flavor. But it is so damn good, I also ordered there coriander goat. That was damn good to, flavored all the way through. :) if you eat in its a bit of a comfortable setting not bad. Enjoy

Great Peruvian food… the arroz chaufa is great… they carry lucuma ice cream but I don’t recommend it, is nothing like the traditional donofrio lucuma ice cream… other than that is great and they have nice inexpensive combos which are really good for reunions
