I was really hoping this was going to be a good place. I was a little disappointed with this place. The beef udon was good. The Chicken Hibachi was good, except the strips of zucchini tasted like they had been marinated in a fish sauce or oyster sauce. To be fair, there was a lot of chicken. We ordered appetizers of Spring Rolls and the Vegetable tempura. This is where I was really disappointed. The spring rolls were frozen ones that they deep fried. The tempura was disgusting. They were also very obviously frozen and deep fried. The tempura was so thick and flour tasting. They didn’t fry them in oil hot enough, so the coating was pasty and looked horrible. I ended up peeling the coating off the vegetables and eating it that way. Overall, I doubt we would travel from White Bear Lake to Woodbury again, just to go here.

The employees are really friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and was not over priced.

Went in with higher expectations, but came out disappointed. Ramen could definitely use more flavor! I was hoping to find a ramen place closer to home instead of having to drive to United Noodles. I gave them points on the cleanliness, updated décor, and good service. Once you’ve tried tasty ramen, you’ll know there are other options. Sad to say, but homemade ramen is better.

I was so excited to find out that they were opening a ramen place in Woodbury. I went on a Saturday morning for lunch and this place was pretty empty since it’s relatively new. The lady who took my orders was really nice. However, she took a long time to process and write down things. My brother and I had two different ramens. When they brought them out, they looked and tasted the same! I couldn’t even finish my ramen. It was just very bland. I’m really not impressed with this place at all.

Interesting experience and very authentic. This is NOT your regular 10 minute ramen. The ramen is fresh and tasty. If you like spicy, ask for a side of oil pepper. The takoyaki(octopus fried ball) is delicious. Must try.

The Raman Station has very good food. The atmosphere is nice but a little small. Their gyoza is very tasty and cooked just right. The miso soup is good but doesn’t have much taste. Their Ramen is fantastic! The noodles are cooked just right and there is a lot of meat in it. This is probably one of my favorite places. Will be coming again.

Ramen was just OK. Location is fine with plenty of parking and the restaurant is decent size(if it’s busy, you might have to wait for a seat). I brought my nieces here for lunch on President’s Day and we went around 11:30 and were the first to be seated. Ordered some apps — Gyoza and octopus balls that were a little greasy. We all had ramen for lunch — seafood, tantan(had a nice spice) and tonkotsu. My niece just got back from Japan and I could tell she wasn’t impressed which wasn’t surprising since this is a Chinese ramen place. For a quick ramen fix, I’ll take it, but I still prefer Zen Box on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis.

It’s been several years since I had ramen in Japan, but this was just like I remember it. I had the tonkotsu and ordered it takeout. I was nervous because I know it’s critical to serve the noodle freshly cooked, but it was no problem. They put the broth on one container and everything else in another. My kids got pizza, and most of them were jealous when they saw what I had. Hot noodles, crispy spinach and green onions, tender pork. Eggs were perfectly soft-boiled. I’ll be back, even if I have to bring my kids with me next time.

The noodles are great. They use bones to prepare the soup for six hours. Especially the fried cheese cake is awesome. The service is very kind.

This is very exciting for Woodbury!!! The restaurant does offer carry out, but you really should take the time to dine in. We had a Veggie Ramen and Chicken Udon. The place is small, but there are several tables, maybe about 10 – 15 tables. The servers are great and helpful. The food was delish. My ramen had vegetable broth with fresh broccoli, mushrooms and spinach. We will go back.

We stopped by here for the grand opening a month ago. It was a Friday night and there were a lot of folks doing take-out. We decided to eat in and the atmosphere looked pretty nice. The waiter quickly seated us and we ordered 2 ramen bowls. I had the seafood and my wife had the shoyu(braised pork) ramen. She liked mine better since I had more things to eat like shrimp, fishcake, and crab meat. Unfortunately, her shoyu ramen only had 2 pieces of pork so she had to ration her meat with egg. Anyways, we split our ramen bowls but we agreed that mine was the better choice. However, the ramen broth was sooo delicious. I found out that the hard boiled egg cut in half made the difference. I tried this out at home and it tasted almost the same and added my own dried seaweed and other things too. Well, the price is certainly reasonable and the service great. We took a lollipop and they weren’t your average dum-dums. It was a nice medium-sized lollipop and both chose watermelon. Anyways, it reminded me of a jolly rancher and nice to have something to snack on afterwards besides your regular small mints.

I didn’t really like the 2 bowl of ramen we had. We got the miso and tankausto(however you speel it), the best part of the meal was the fried ice cream. The price and sizes wasn’t bad but I expected to be better.

Im a big fan of ramen and Asian style soups. The chicken ramen here is not good and tastes like meso soup. Typical Chinese place here with basic menu. Good service but meh…

A small but delightful place not far from the intersection of Valley Creek and Radio Drive. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and offered our choice of where to sit. The staff was courteous and helpful and even let us order something that hadn’t made it onto the menu yet!(Our appetizer the octopus balls) each member of our party tried something different. My son was thrilled with his seafood ramen and has discovered a love of fish cakes. My husband had the tonkotsu ramen which had hard boiled eggs and tender slices of pork. I tried the tantan ramen which was filled with delicious egg noodles at just the right consistently, mixed with ground pork all in a rich pork bone broth seasoned with peppers to give it a spicy kick. Afterwards we tried the mousse cake for dessert, a light frothy mango flavored dessert that I would have found perfect as a birthday cake. The price per entrée averaged around $ 10 I was exceptionally happy with my first visit and hope to come back many times.

It is so bad that I rather eat the instant ramen at home. We ordered the champion ramen and the tonkotsu ramen… after adding extra salt and soy sauce… it still taste plain.

Wow. This place is incredible. I came here with 2 people who had never had real ramen before, and they both loved it. I ordered the vegetable ramen which came loaded with veggies. The broth was nice and flavorful and it complimented the noodles perfectly. I also ordered the edamame as an appetizer, which tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant is pretty tiny on the inside, theres only a handful of tables and chairs. The servers were very attentive and very nice, they really want to make sure you’re satisfied with everything. I really hope this restaurant catches on because Woodbury could use something unique like this.

A tasty worldly restaurant in Woodbury? Yes! The Ramen Station has great food and Very attentive servers. Started with a large bowl of edamame-very fresh. Then the Champon Ramen. It had tender flavorful pork, crisp veggies, tasty broth, eggs and slices of fish cakes-pleasantly surprised by how good they were. Very satisfying. Can’t wait to go back!

The ramen comes pretty fast after ordering. Ramen is only 3⁄5 stars. The broth is okay. But there are no thin string green onion. The eggs are not colorized. Two pork slides are so thin. Then the bowl comes with a weird long and flat spoon making it harder to eat. I give it an extra star for the location(5 mins from my house) and service is good. Definitely should try this place if you love ramen. Logan L

I sent with a table of 6. We tried both the pork based and the soy based ramen dishes. If you like spicy go for the tantan. Three of use liked the champon ramen, I kinda woodshed for a splash of spice though. They had an awesome seasoning on the table though. We loved the fried cheese cake and the mango mousse was unexpectedly flavorful. No complaints here. We’d all go back & probably will. P. S. they have forks upon request ^_~

We saw the sign go up a month or two ago and we were waiting for them to open. When I saw the red«open» sign on my way home tonight, I called the family and we went over for an early dinner. The restaurant opened yesterday, so I was not too surprised to find it relatively empty at 5:45pm on a snowy night. The décor is nice, but slightly sterile. I don’t know if it was just the fact that there were so few people, but it was a bit echo-y(if that’s a possible word). The music in the background was very nice, and the paintings were tasteful. Japanese-style tatami walls were placed strategically and looked nice. The tables and chairs were simple and elegant. That said, perhaps a little more of a touch of japanese décor would warm the place up. The wife suggested that the wall over the cash register would benefit from a red color like some of the cushions or the inside of the teacups. I would have liked to see a touch of cloth/fabric on the ceiling or walls(not as much as Domo restaurant in Denver, but a touch toward that direction, perhaps). As for the really important stuff like the food and the service, I was very pleased. The waitstaff were polite and attentive without being obtrusive. Our server quickly addressed our request for some extra bowls for our daughter, and brought us some as well. We tried the age tofu and edamame for appetizers and both were very tasty. I really liked the fact that the age tofu was not over-fried. So often, all you taste is the oil(and then you burn your palate). I could easily taste the tofu and it was also just the right temperature. The breading was crispy and thin. The edamame was right on the edge of being crunchy, but still fully cooked. Not mushy and not over-salted; well done. I tried the tantan ramen and the wife had the vegetable yaki udon. For my soup, it was nice to be able to taste all the separate elements and those elements came together quite nicely. I generally prefer stuff to be sweat-inducing spicy, this was not so spicy, but the spice that was there was well done. The broth was rich and tasty. The yaki udon was was a good portion without being too much. The veggies were cooked perfectly and, like the soup, the separate elements were all individually taste-able and all worked well together to create delicious dish. I hope more people come in order to enjoy this place and I wish them good eating when they arrive. This restaurant is a welcome addition to Woodbury and I think they will do very well.
