Excellent breakfast and my husbands favorite place. Food is good served hot with a smile! I am partial to the ham steak served with eggs and potatoes but my hubby loves the everything omelette the best. Very busy on weekends and a great casual eating spot. They also have a bakery if you want to take something home.

Today is Thanksgiving day and my family just went to Keys Café for our turkey dinner. There was a slight wait when we arrived but there were plenty of benches set up for us to wait and we happily chatted until we were seated. All of us ordered the turkey dinner(except my dad who loves the Italian hash) and we each received a heaping plateful of deliciously made holiday favorites a few minutes later. After eating my fill of everything I still boxed up enough leftovers to have a meal and a half for later, and the Thanksgiving dinner special they had included a piece of pumpkin pie which I also took home. I thank the wonderful people who are working there today for their hard work and effort who made my own holiday that much more enjoyable! I’ll be back many times I’m sure. Happy Thanksgiving!

Had bfast with my daughter last Sunday. When she picked Keys, I was disappointed. Having had mediocre to horrible experiences at three other Keys joints, I really had no desire to give these chuckleheads another go. That said, as expected Keys Woodbury lived up the the corporate model of bad food with an I don’t give a crap attitude. Ordered eggs benny. My eggs were fried, not coddled. They were hard to the point of petrification. I did something I never do and let the server place another(blind) order to replace the hard as a brick first attempt. What was I thinking? The replacements arrived fried again and this time were medium hard. Do I need to say more? Why do people go back to this place. From Raymond, to Larpenteur, to downtown, to Woodbury, these restaurants are just plain bad.

This place is hustling on the weekends. You can expect solid decent food but nothing out of the ordinary or special. The atmosphere is busy and you sit very close to others. Like cattle to the trough. The prices are a little on the higher side for what it is. The best thing I had was the mimosa!

Being a Keys Café virgin and having my girlfriend’s father insist that we eat at Denny’s or Perkin’s(aka totally uninspiring diner chains), I strongly suggested that we support a local business and dine at their location in Hoodbury. It would serve as my girlfriend’s last meal in the Twin Cities(before we drove down South), and unfortunately it wasn’t so great. To be honest, I’m not sure why there’s a wait at all. ***** I. FOOD They have your traditional American breakfast — various types of eggs, pancakes, etc… — and their own specials. Our server recommended the Cajun Breakfast to me, and so I got that. *Cajun Breakfast: It came with two eggs, onions, mushrooms, green pepper, hashbrowns, all topped with melted(slice) cheese, hollandaise sauce, and Cajun spice. Yes, this could give heart attacks to three people, but I decided to tackle it myself. And I have to say that it was poorly slopped together/made with no love. Not to mention, I did not love that hollandaise sauce. This was the only time in recent memory that I chose not to have the rest of my breakfast to go. II. SERVICE Yes, I know this is a popular brunch spot, and I know there’s a wait, but it doesn’t mean that people can be rude. I can excuse folks being short or losing their temper(it happens to all of us), but hosts don’t need to do an eye roll when I ask, «it’s been 30 minutes; do you know if our table ready, yet?» The server inside was fine. III. ATMOSPHERE/DÉCOR A standard diner with Peanut statues out in the front of the entrance(via strip mall). IV. PRICES Very affordable. No qualms here. V. OVERALL I don’t plan on returning, and I think there are much better brunch spots than Keys. I hope the food and service can improve at this location, and it’s not representative of this local chain.

Very disappointed. Called in a to go order and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Went to pick up and it was clear my order was never put in. Paid, then was later told they ran out of one of the items we ordered. Then still took about 30 minutes to get food. When I got home every item ordered was wrong. Food was cold so it was done well before it was brought out to me so I waited for nothing.

Wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. I was really hungry for breakfast and decided to stop here. I had the pancakes and coffee. Let me say that I love both pancakes and coffee. During the entire breakfast I drank only 1 cup of coffee because it was so bad. The pancakes were dry and tasteless. The«syrup» proudly proclaimed it was free of high-fructose corn syrup: It was just regular corn syrup. We didn’t have a choice in seating, but they had a patio overlooking the parking lot, an indoor«patio» type thing overlooking the mall interior, or the back where I got to face the wall. Luckily, I got the best of the three options. Whew. Our server, a surly, old, fat woman who never told us her name, seemed liked she’d worked there for much too long. She was efficient though. So if that’s what you’re into. The other item ordered was over-easy eggs, hash browns, and toast. When they came out, they looked awful. The eggs had been cooked and thrown onto the plate next to some frozen hash browns that tasted like they’d been microwaved. The toast was served on a separate plate, so as to not disturb the presentation of the dish. I’m told the eggs were good. But how hard is it to cook over-easy eggs. I ended up eating just one of the three pancakes I ordered. Half of the hash browns and toast were eaten too. We took the pancakes and hash browns in a to-go box, but I don’t think we’ll eat them. The only reason this review got 2 stars is because the eggs were good and it’s cheap.

The real reason we decided to go to Keys was to see the Peanuts statues. I had high hopes for this place when we sat down… then it quickly went down hill. Service was slow. The gal was friendly, but never apologized or explained why it took so long for, well, everything. I understand that some restaurants get understaffed, over busy, whatever, just tell me. The food was OK. I had the cheeseburger deluxe and waffle fries. I enjoyed the fact that the cheeseburger deluxe was literally just cheese and a hamburger patty on a bun. I also enjoy how cheese is American cheese… which I don’t really consider cheese, but cheese-like product, but that’s just personal opinion. Regardless, the burger was well done(yay!) but the bun wasn’t. The server said they were made there, which makes sense since it’s a bakery as well as a café, but it tasted doughy and underdone. I had wanted to try something from the bakery case, but since the service was so slow, I opted out of that idea. Probably a sign from the universe… I mean if their hamburger buns are underdone… I know this is a local chain and might be tempted to try a different location, but I will likely as not be going back to this one.

Below average. Hashbrowns were under done, coffee was dishwater style and the hollandaise was just kind of icky. Tasted like some sort of cheese sauce. Don’t bother.
