First time here, and it didn’t disappoint me. The ambiance might not be appealing, but the food is delicious. Rotisserie chicken is so flavorful, but I wish more rice.

Best little hole in a wall place. It’s close to my house and I decided to try it out because I love pupusas. It’s just awesome authentic food. I absolutely love this place !

Great food. Probably best I have ever had. We used Unilocal to find it. It deserves all the stars. Place is very low key but everything was great.

This meal was pretty good. The tacos were average and we’re pretty good for a place that doesn’t specialize in tacos. The food was inexpensive. Keep in mind when you order pupusas goat cheese is used! My peers were satisfied with there orders but do not order soda from the tap, it’s just gross. The food was fast though and the waitress very attentive and nice. May come again…

We stopped here for a quick lunch and weren’t disappointed. The pupusas were outstanding, as well as the plantanos. We also got the whole pollo ala brasa meal with two sides — it was huge! Way more than two people could eat(but perfect for leftovers). I also enjoyed all the posters of tourist destinations in Peru! Great service, too. We’ll be back — so many more things to try on the menu. Sidenote: It’s close to 95, if you’re looking for a non-chain stop for a meal. Occoquan Rd isn’t an exit off of 95, you’d take the Rt 123 exit and connect to it that way. A five minute drive!

The customer service is superb! It’s not like other Spanish restaurants(where the waitresses ignore the female customers to attend the male customers). She was attentive. The food was delicious & authentic like as if my mom were to make it, but even better! The steak was juicy & easy to cut thru everything was freshly made. I love it & it’s affordable!!! Glad I was able to catch the first half of the Real Madrid game! Décor isn’t all that but the food is to tasty to even notice it.

This is a hidden gem in Woodbridge. Hands down best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had! The place may look sketchy from the outside — don’t judge a book by its cover. Inside you will find a very friendly atmosphere, well lit and clean. Several TVs will entertain you with either soccer or Latin music videos, which are always entertaining themselves! Price is amazing — for $ 13 you get a whole chicken and two sides of generous size. (Regarding the review from William below — yes the menu has been updated and their printed menu now matches the marquee.)

Came in starving and found this place that is in a run down strip mall. I was skeptical but the reviews on Unilocal made me go for it. The menu has bountiful platters and they are very authentic to being in El Salvador eating in a local’s home. It’s like they gathered all the grandmothers, place them in the kitchen and told them to cook for their future son in law. The restaurant itself is not anything special. Their focus is definitely on the food, not the décor. Still, for this type of restaurant, 4stars for what matters: the food.

Delightful, helpful service staff; wonderful food, beautifully presented! The only issue(and I am not sure if this is due to a recent management change) is that 1) there is no printed menu, and 2) the overhead menu display does not accurately reflect the kitchen’s offerings or range. For example, tacos are not mentioned on the overhead menu, but(after huddling with the counter staff in my broken Spanish) I was able to order a meal of 3 tacos(pollo, lengua, y chorizo!) with frijoles refritos and pico de gallo. Wonderfully fresh, and a beautiful plato! My guess it that this spot will be catching up with the necessary infrastructure(menus) over the coming months, but the kitchen is firing on all cylinders! The frijoles, by the way, are the best I have had in many years — a balance of texture, salt, and savory that most places do not achieve.

This La Brasa and Pupuseria is a hidden gem inside the Woodbridge Square Shopping Center. The menu is both in English and Spanish. It is easy to read and there are lots of delicious choices. Plus, the ladies behind the counter are really nice and helpful with the menu. The Restuarant is clean, bright and nicely adorned with pictures from El Salvador and other neighboring locales. The artwork is quite beautiful. They also have two tv’s playing Telemundo. The clientele is mostly of Hispanic descent, so I was super excited to eat something authentic! I ordered breakfast, which was the Especial #1($ 7.95). It included two scrammbled eggs, pork, rice & beans, cheese and avocado. Because of my intense love for sweet plantains, I ordered some on the side($ 1.95). Good call all the way around! ¡Muy delicioso!
