Beyond Studio

In a months long search for a new hairstylist, I finally found Orlando at Beyond Studio. He listened and gave me a terrific cut. I’ll be seeing him again very soon to explore his color creations. Can’t wait!

Dina was amazing from the start! As soon as I said I was interested, she gave me a call and we talked about the entire process and any questions that I had. I recommend booking her in advance (I booked her almost 2 months in advance). Trust me though, that 2 months goes by VERY quick. Dina was my hair artist and let me tell you my hair stayed the entire night (ok well maybe by the last hour when I was dancing my tail off it got a little messy), but amazing that it lasts so long. Conny was my makeup artists and I gave her my vision one time and she nailed it. I had a VERY large bridal party and they both stuck with me the entire day. No complaints from my girls and if they did, Conny and Dina fixed it right away. Also, my trial was so much fun, I almost forgot I was there for my hair and makeup. I love Dina and her team :) STUNNING was the word of the evening

Dina was fabulous! So personable and obviously great at her job. I got my hair and makeup done for prom, and everyone complimented both! They kept going on and on about how I looked like a Greek goddess because of my hair– and they were right! It also took way faster than I thought. I drove about 45 minutes to Beyond (completely worth it by the way) and expected to be home by 16:45. Instead I was home by 16:00, and had time to relax and unwind before my date arrived! Go ask for Dina if you go– so amazing!!!

Orlando is too concern to make a buck to even give the customer a realistic suggestion. Don’t go there, or at least, don’t see him! I am going to have to request a full refund as I am completely dissatisfied with the service. I got up and told him it was nothing like I requested, the answer was… nothing, he shrug his shoulders and began to give a haircut to another client. Let me tell you something about this particular individual; he cuts hair alright, but is clueless about highlights, or perms, period. Take this to the bank and do not see him for anything other than a simple haircut. Who owns this salon is my question, I would need to speak to their headquarters regarding my refund!
I was informed by the owner of the salon (Ms. Pham herself) that a refund was not possible since they do not have a refund policy in place. I was also told that they reviewed the video recorded from their business in which I was informed of the risks of getting a perm, i.e. Dry brittle hair. However, ms Pham forgot to listen to the part where Mr. Orlando assures me of the fact the curl will be there. My suggestion again to anyone who’s looking for more than just a haircut, go elsewhere where the customer does not have to be submitted to an interrogation and where the refund for a horrible job done is not dismissed with the mare excuse of a non refund policy. I am going to report this business to the better business bureau though, because they should not function on account of the unsuspecting client. If the salon does not believe they can deliver the product, for the integrity of the business they should decline and explain to the client clearly that the results are going to be devastating, turning the customer away is better than what they did to me.

I have been coming to Beyond Studio for the last 6 months, and i wish i had found them sooner! Orlando DOES know hair!
This past Friday, i had a special occasion, and they bent over backwards to accommodate me. Conny, the make up artist did a beautuful job, and my make up lasted more than 14 hours, although i was running around in a hot, humid day, my make up looked fresh at 2pm, as if it was just done!
Orlando colored my hair, and the highlights looked natural and beautuful.
I am super thankful for this team! Friday was a super special day, and this team made me glow!

Horrible for wedding hair and make-​up. My hairstylist had a family emergency and was unable to do my wedding, so I found this place last minute and I wish I had just kept my money and done it myself because I could’ve done better myself. The hair looked nothing like the picture, along with my make-​up. I was supposed to be with Orlando, but some girl who barely understood english did it. Not sure how they have so many good reviews… Don’t spend your money here for updos and make-​up.

Getting modern hair stylist is difficult to find in the area and I was suprise to find they did an amazing job multiple times. Not having a problem to explain her!!! what I need she was very understanding she did a great haircut. Wil coming back the 5 stars for the lady warm welcomes and fantastic hair cuts thanks.

I am still coming to this salon after 3 years! Orlando does an amazing job with my cut and highlights. And I will never go anywhere else. Not only is he professional, he’s personable as well and remembers details, such as asking how my daughter is doing. He even took a few extra moments to discuss my hair for my upcoming wedding. :)

I drive for 45 minutes just to have Orlando cut my hair. Totally worth it! I’m treated like royalty at this studio and I always come out looking like a million bucks. Orlando is super talented and has years of experience to back up his natural gifts. He recommends new styles, keeps up with the latest trends, and teaches me styling tricks that I can do at home. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The entire staff at Beyond Studio makes me feel at home. Dina and Sumitra always greet me with a smile and are quick to ask how I’m doing. I really feel like part of the family here. For all you guys out there, you owe it to yourself to try out this studio. I was hooked from my first visit 2 years ago and I’ll continue to go as long as I can.

Orlando is perceptive and skilled. He can help you articulate your hair style goals and then make them happen. He’s great with blonde highlights and blended layers.
Everyone at Beyond Studio is so accommodating and wonderful with my baby. They don’t make me feel terrible for having him with me. On the contrary, they are so sweet.
The salon is clean and stylish. Nice lobby seating area and big, clean bathroom. They carry great products, too.

Visiting home from GA and needed to get my haircut asap! Couldn’t find any of my old stylists, so I started looking. I came across Beyond Studio and they had great reviews, so I figured I would give them a shot (I am really picky and anal about who cuts my hair) I had an appointment with Orlando and he exceeded my expectations. He was extremely honest, did exactly what I wanted and gave me some really great advice and ideas for what I could do at home. I will be returning everytime I am in VA and need something done. If I could take him back to GA with me, I would.

This was my first time going to Beyond Studio for a haircut and highlights and I am very happy I tried them out. Dina was awesome… great cut and the color was perfect. I will definitely come back and see Dina… very happy with my result.

I made an appointment with Orlando based on reviews as we are new to the area. After not getting a proper cut and colour in much too long I was very overdue.
Orlando did an amazing job! He listened to what I wanted and to my concerns and was quick and efficient while doing highlights and cutting my hair. I have very long hair and didn’t think I’d be done in the allotted 1.5 hours but was with time to spare for the first time ever. Will come back again and highly recommend this salon to friends.

Orlando is amazing! He was really honest about the ideas I had and I loved it! I’d rather be told the truth then someone just agree with me. My hair came out amazing and exactly how I pictured it! I will definitely be returning and telling everyone about him

I first met Orlando at Bubbles in the mall. My hairdresser moved back to Florida and she highly recommended him. I’m VERY particular about my stylists and who cuts my hair. After the first appointment I knew Orlando was who I wanted to continue cutting my hair. I’ve now been going to Orlando for my haircuts for over 5 years now!
Orlando has always remembered my hair style and has always done an amazing job. The assistants have been great at shampooing and sometimes give a good massage.
You’re able to make appointments online, which is convenient. I sometimes just stop by and Orlando does a great job at accommodating me.
I would highly recommend Orlando and Beyond Studio!

I’m in LOVE with my hair color and highlights. Orlando and the stuff at beyond studio did a fabulous job. I told them I needed to be out of the salon at a certain time and sure enough I was out even earlier than I thought. Orlando took the time to listen to my needs, he definitely delivered. I will be back for my follow up in Feb!

Orlando cut my hair. He squeezed me in yesterday around 4pm. The person that washes hair wasn’t there so he ended up washing and cutting. I asked for scene girl hair cut, 1 – 2 inch trim off the bottom and the length for my bang. Hands down, he is the boss!!! Amazing job. My mom and aunt were hair stylist so I’m pretty picky. I checked my hair. I also rechecked today after a shower. Still great!
He put some treatment in my hair and blow dried my hair.
Thank you Orlando. Whenever I come to Virginia and need a cut, I will be going to you.

I don’t know if people were exhausted, but some of them can smile a little or at least sound pleasant like they enjoy working there. Might have been a long day. Orlando just looked tired, but he was nice and pleasant.

****UPDATE****
So after I called and scheduled another appointment with Orlando we went there showed him what my wife didn’t like and what needed to be fixed and he did exactly what needed to be done and then more! He did an excellent job to fix her hair and she left extremely happy and satisfied with his work!!! He was very nice & worked on her hair with precision & great care! Did everything for free and also included a deep condition treatment! He did a fantastic job and we will definitely be coming back next time!!! I’m glad this salon stood by their work and did everything they could to keep the customer happy and also that we found it!
