I came in to Bailey’s to have my watch sized to my wrist and have some of the links taken out. It is a nice store but it was very empty. There were two workers in the store who struck me as wife and husband. The guy was helping another guy pick out his proposal ring and the woman was filling out paperwork and manning the phones. I decided to wait for the woman to be done on the phone and once she was she ask what I needed help with. I told her I need my watch resized and was wondering the price. She said that they would be able to size my watch for around $ 15 and I would be able to pick it up in about an hour(The shortest time I could find anywhere!). I was a bit confused on the price, because(although this was the cheapest price I was able to find) I was told over the phone that the sizing was even cheaper! I told her and she said«Oh… Sorry about that. It was the wrong price, although, I can charge you that price instead.» I told her that it was ok I didn’t need the cheaper price, it was just an «fyi». $ 15 was still the cheapest price I could find in this area. I decided to explore the sad mall of Potomac Mills and in a hour and thirty minutes I was back. I almost thought I had walked back in time. They were still doing the exact same things the first time I had entered. I asked the lady if my watch was ready for pick up and she said not yet, because they were the only two people there and the guy was the one who sized the watches. He was still helping the same guy! She said she would be right back and went over to talk with the guy. I can tell you I was a little frustrated at this point, but the guy and the lady switched places. I was able to try on the watch and show the guy how many links I wanted to take off.(He seemed fascinated by it, and I cannot blame him because it was a cool watch.) He went into the back room and in less than 30 minutes he came back with my watch. It may sound scary to some, because of the loud hammer sounding whacks and banging, but I examined my watch when I left and there was not a scratch or dent on it. When I paid, they charged me a cheaper price and(I think) said that if I ever needed it resized or fixed again that it would be free if I showed the receipt. I guess a watch sizing is negotiable, but all is forgiven either way. I would definitely come back here(Even though I cannot stand the mall its in) and would recommends this place to anyone. Good Job Bailey’s!

Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for customer service after your purchase then you should spend your money elsewhere. A ring I purchased was promised to be delivered on a certain date but a week later it was not ready. I called and a sales rep gave some poor excuse that they were still waiting for a part to come in. A jeweler needs parts to downsize a ring? No wonder this franchise originally went out of business years ago. This will be the last time I spend a penny at this place.

I would not recommend this business. I drove an hour away only to realize I was not given the diamond certificate/warranty information with my purchase. The sales representative: June, took her time about returning my call. Then the regional manager; Roberto, acted as if he was doing me a favor by selling me the jewelry. Needless to say I had to drive another hour just to make the return.
