Never had a bad meal at Justin’s. The best part too is that they will make ANY dish gluten free if you ask. They have the gluten free pasta option too. But if you want shrimp franchase; they will make it gluten free. Absolutely awesome. Go here! The people are friendly too!

I normally go the Justin’s in Hawthorne but thought I would try this location. The food was good but the service was very bad. I went during the week and there was no one there. The waiter had a terrible attitude. He could not have cared whether we were there or not . He was putting up decorations and totally ignored us. I would never go back. I will, however, return to Justin’s in Hawthorne. Much more pleasant and professional waitstaff!

Time: Saturday night Party: 10 Service We had called ahead of time to make a reservation and were seated quickly. Waiters were good although the restaurant was full, and all the food arrived at the same time. Food i had chicken parm(pretty hard to mess up). The chicken was huge, nice and thin how i like it and served over linguine. It was great. Honestly though their tomato sauce is very blah, not a fan personally. Cleanliness The restaurant was very nice, and very clean. Its a cozy place that can feel a bit crowded when full but it was not overly loud or anything. Plates and silverware were cleaned quickly, no complaints at all. Overall this place is good, i was not overly impressed by any of the food though. Nothing special about this place just a nice Italian restaurant that you can find all over NJ. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend but i would not send them out of their way to come here. If you are in the area and looking for a nice sit down meal and some good Italian food, do stop in.

We came here with 3 other couples and everyone went home happy. Being a BYOB is always a plus. My wife and I shared the stuffed artichoke and that had to be the best stuffed artichoke I’ve ever had. Lots of great buttery/lemon sauce and breadcrumbs that was hard to stop eating. My wife had the trout special for her entrée, while I had some capellini with shrimp, scallops and crab(a special) in a lemon sauce. Excellent. We skipped dessert to have some at one of our homes. Still… the portions were a good size and the prices were good. The reason Justin’s doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the service. While certainly not unfriendly or «bad»… it did take a long time for our entrees to come to the table. The waiters came to us to open the bottles of wine and to ask for our orders pretty quickly. The appetizers came out 1,2…3, then the excellent house salad… but then there was a LONG pause 40⁄45 minutes before our entrees hit the table. I hate seeing other tables getting served their entrée when they came well after us.(Even if it was pretty busy/packed!) We almost had to run down to the wine/liquor store down the block to grab another bottle of wine. I feel for the people who gave bad reviews, but we(all 8 of us) enjoyed all our meals. We’ll be back. Give it a try.

Justin’s is BYOB, which takes a load off your bill, which is wonderful. A couple of liquor stores right around the restaurant, too. So if you didn’t know it was BYOB, you can literally go down the street and pick something up. The salad that gets brought out before your entrée is really delicious. It’s very simple but they have this sweet dressing that makes it really good. I always get a chicken dish because I really enjoy them. It comes with lots of sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes and I like it spicy so I get cherry peppers in mine. I have also had the calamari which was good. I have gone with people who have gotten penne and vodka which was delicious. I have gotten linguini and clam sauce — I wasn’t a big fan. It just tastes like linguini in garlic and oil with clams thrown in. I’m looking for that clam broth when I order this. Their garlic butter steak was just okay as well. I’d come when I’m in the mood. There are better Italian restaurants out there but this is worth a try.

A friend raved about this place. I strongly disagree. Arugula salad with fresh fruit had canned peaches. The eggplant rollatini appetizer was undercooked and greasy. The calamari and squid in the Zappa de pesce were chewy. I was not impressed.

Held an event for a party of 26 there in May 3rd and everything was amazing. The set up, food, service and every detail was top notch. We weren’t rushed. William was very accommodating and catered to our every request. I will definitely hold other events at Justin’s. My daughter’s first communion celebration turned out perfect. Thanks William and staff.

I’ve been here a handful of times now for large group dinners and I really don’t know why we keep returning. I think it is mostly for the nostalgia as we have celebrated numerous occasions here as a family. However their attitudes are very poor, they are not very accommodating. I would never personally patronize this place solo. With that being said, the food is decent, portions are small. Restaurant is small. Atmosphere is ok. Really nothing that would draw a person here in my opinion. I gave this place two stars as the food is decent.

A decent local Italian Place. Better options considering the price while not unreasonable is not cheap either. BYOB is nice, Service was solid, atmosphere was nice, but the food was just OK. Not much else to say about it, not bad but not too memorable.

We had a large dinner(15 people) for my parents anniversary. We did a la carte — ordered a range of appetizers and meals. Everything was fantastic from the appetizers to the salads(love the dressing) to the dinners. It’s BYOB which is great and the service was really good. They also let me bring all the dessert. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and I can’t wait to go back-no one had a disappointing meal!

We were very disappointed. My daughter, husband and I went there on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered from the Prix Fixe menu. Eggplant Rollatini, tasty and good, but not warm. House salad consisted of very large leaves of spinach and lettuce that were old with holes in it. Stuffed mushrooms OK. Chicken and Tilapia Francaise sauce tasted as if it came from a can. The accompanying potato and vegetables were inedible. The carrot and yellow squash tasted spoiled, as if it had been heated repeatedly. The riccota cheesecake tasted as if it had come out of a box and was stale on the bottom. The coffee was good. The waiters were nice and attentive. Very nice atmosphere except for the loud piped in music right over our heads.

I have never had a bad meal here. They put down a plate of olives, bruschetta and warm fresh bread with olive oil as soon as you get there. The manager/head waiter is really personable, friendly and funny. Tonight we got the Thai calamari and it was really good. I loved the sauce. Then I ordered linguini with fresh clams and it was amazing. All of the meals come with a salad and their house dressing is delicious. The portions are big, prices are fair and it’s a byob. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Recently, I held a major family event for 52 people at Justin’s II. The group was a mix of adults and children. I arranged the event on shirt notice and Willie accommodated us. The food and service were outstanding. We used a price fixed menu that included apps, pasta, and main entrè choices. Since it is a byob, Willie set up a station for the beer and made sure that each table had the wine we provided. Everything was excellent, the food, the service, and the management really did a great job.

Came in without a reservation, and was seated fast(yay?). My fiancé and I were seated in front of the coat closet, so whenever someone was going to leave she had to get up so they could get in the closet. Also seated right near door so we were given the additional benefit of a cool February breeze whenever someone came in or out. The food itself was good, but as my two star rating says, I’ve had better. The wait staff was friendly however inattentive, no one asked how our food was or asked if I would like a refill on my iced tea. All in all okay but I doubt I will be back and will not recommend.

Went on a weekday and it was pretty empty which allowed for a more private dinner. It is a cute little Italian place that is affordable and a BYOB. I have been to the Justins in Hawthorne and the menu is the same – specials always sound amazing but have only gotten them once or twice and been satisfied, although found most of the dishes were almost always very salty, which isn’t quite my taste. The complimentary pieces of bruschetta are always great and the salads they serve have a great house dressing. Service was good – they have always been friendly and attentive anytime I have gone. It is maybe slightly above the rest of the Italian Restaurants out there but not one I would count as my absolute favorite.
