Here’s another Woburn fast food disappointment. I went and gave them a chance because of the reviews. Either they have switched management or chefs from all those 4 and 5 stars they received, or people just don’t know quality Chinese food. The best in MA hands down is the Golden Temple in Brookline. Check them out, a little more pricey but hey, you get what you pay for. Now this dump here, served me and my family chicken fingers, beef teriyaki and chicken wings that had to be at least 4 days old and reheated, barely. I kid you not. Old meat dishes and slightly below average«vegetable«fried rice. The only vegetables were onions and a few green peas. Dont waste your money going here.

Oriental is your standard take out/delivery Chinese restaurant. The nice thing is they do midweek lunch specials for $ 3.99! I’m not overly impressed with the quality they put out but the price is right.

BESTCRABRANGOONANDLOMEIN. Crab Rangoon has real crab. and lots. Not just microscopic bits and pieces. Perfection from a whole-in-the-wall, generic named restaurant? Yes. Not what I was expecting. New favorite place.

Food is good. Parking is terrible. Staff is not friendly at all. They pulled the $ 10 minimum debit card on me too as my order came out to around $ 9. I told them to just charge me $ 10 minimum that I was ok with that. Wouldn’t do it and said I had to go to ATM. Instead I walked down to the Brazilian restaurant right down the street and said screw ‘em.

I was torn as to whether to give a 4 or 5 star review to this place. However, the food was GREAT, but the establishment was dirty and cold. Hence I am being kind with the 4 stars. This place sticks right out on the street with the huge sign. When we walekd in, the ceiling tiles were brown, the tables and chairs rusted and the fibers from the mop(at least they mopped!) were all over the floor. Also, it was 45 degrees outside and probably 35 inside. NOHEATON! We ordered and the man at the counter was so friendly! We ordered the Pu Pu Platter for one, a large order of Beef Lo Mein and the garlic chicken. With a drink the price was very fair at $ 25.00. The food came promptly and was brought to our table. The food was acutally GREAT! the crab rangoons were stuffed full and had CRAB in them. The lo meain was perfect and had strips of sirloin steak in it. There was NO searching for the beef. The pu pu platter was also great as was the garlic chicken. What got to me was when we were almost finished, we smelled cigarette smoke. YEP! One of the cooks was sitting on a box by the rear door puffing away! However, I cannot take the 4 star rating away as the food was simply great! If they cleaned up the place(more like drop a bomb on it and rebuild!) stopped the smoking and turned up the heat, this place would be a total winner. So, if you are a neat freak, keep on a walking, however, the food is GREAT!

I just got home at 9pm and just tried to call in a combination plate to pick up. I don’t like pork fried rice or white rice so I always substitute for lo mein and have no problem paying extra money to do so. Last week, there was a really nice guy on the phones who charged me a $ 2 up-charge to get lo mein which I was happy with. I just ordered the same thing and a very rude lady on the phone would not allow me to swap out the rice for lo mein. I explained I was charged $ 2 last week for the same thing and she said she could not do that and I had to choose fried rice or white rice. She insisted I get rice and order a side dish of lo mein. I have worked in restaurants all my life as a server and you always do your best to accommodate the customer if at all possible. I was not asking for anything out of the ordinary. This lady was just flat out rude and they will not be getting my business again. One of the most rude people I have ever talked to on the phone while trying to order food and give them business.

After reading the comments about the lack of friendliness and poor attitudes, I decided to give it a shot to see if they were actually as bad as complained about. I can report that there were no attitudes. HOWEVER, while waiting for my order, one of the cooks went on break and started SMOKING A CIGARETTE. He was sitting in a chair to the left of the kitchen — inside! I hate cigarette smoke. I hate it even more when I’m inside a restaurant. As for the food… Well… It’s Ok. It’s not horrible, but it’s bland. I ordered appetizers: chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, crab ragoons, chicken fingers, and pork fried rice. Everything was very dry and not as flavorful as I felt they should have been. I’m glad I tried this place, If for no other reason than to provide an updated review. Even if it did end up costing me $ 35.00. Sadly, my quest for great Chinese food continues.

Went there for the first time to pick up food for New Year’s Eve on the advice of a friend. I ordered the night before as they were getting pretty booked. The food was awesome! The crab rangoon were the best I’ve ever eaten, the beef/broccoli chow yoke was tender and full of flavor, and everything was wonderful and hot and done at the time we’d ordered it for. And… NOT greasy in the least. Bravo! I’ll definitely be back. Also like the semi — open kitchen. I like seeing the conditions where the food is prepared. Kudos on the cleanliness and the pricing. Nice NOT to get ripped off again. You can eat there, but it’s kind of like a cafeteria.

We pick up at Oriental all the time. Lady at the counter is very friendly. Sometimes they ignore the phone when I call ahead, but when they answer I get accurate order. Parking for pick up is awful. I live too far away for delivery(just in Burlington)!! But in general I like there food and prices.

Not very friendly. I guess when the price is so cheap you kinda pay for cheap food, and attitude. The whole meal was bad from the rice to the crab ragoons NEVERGOINGBACK

BEST American Chinese Food take out joint in Woburn, MA. China Delight WHAT? The old Woburn townies stick to China Delight but I keeps it 100. Oriental has the best crabrangoons, chicken wings, LOMEIN, and steak teriyaki. Their steak teriyaki are like these huge ass steak tips on a stick. So tasty. I wouldn’t eat in there but delivery or take out is perfect, know what I mein?

Just ok… good price and food was good when it first arrived but an hour and a half to deliver? Notsomuch. The food leftover was horrible. The rice was crunchy and we ended up throwing all the leftovers out. When you order Chinese you expect leftovers. I might give this place another shot but I’m not sure. There are other places that might be better.

I can only give this place a mixed review at best. The food is Ok, not great, but it is a good value because the prices are reasonable, especially the daily luncheon specials. I’ve never been really disappointed in the quality of the food but at the same time it’s definitely nothing to write home about. The main reason I ever went to this place is because it’s the closest take-out place to where I live and also because the prices are decent. The few tables they have inside the place are all in the same tight little space where patrons go in and out the front door and where you have to stand in line to order and pay so I’d get take-out most of the time. I stopped ordering for delivery because they never managed to deliver to me within the time frame they gave me over the phone and several times the food arrived stone cold — and I live just a few blocks away from the place! I had the same problem with the $ 10 credit card minimum that Mats K. mentions in his review. I phoned in a take-out order that came to just under $ 10. The person who took my order never told me over the phone that it would have to be cash only. I got to the place and had to wait in line to get my order. Nowhere did I see a sign that said anything about a $ 10 minimum for credit card purchases. I finally got to the front of the line(with a cast on my arm and in some pain by the way) and put my credit card on the counter — that’s when they told me cash only. I didn’t have any cash on me and the nearest ATM that I’d be able to use without a fee was nowhere close by. I was pretty p.o.‘d to say the least. After going back a forth with them a few times I finally left in disgust without my order. Never did they offer any kind of apology. They flat out blamed it on their credit card processing company as if it wasn’t their policy at all. Oriental’s food and prices are decent but there are lots of other places with decent prices and better food and at least with those places you probably won’t have wait forever for your order if things are a little busy.

Oriental has some good American-style Chinese food. I’m a fan of their lobster sauce, teriyaki beef on a stick, chicken wings, bbq pork, wanton soup, egg drop soup… no vegetable dish here has made its way to my regular rotation, but I haven’t given up. Most dishes are seasoned well and don’t require adding any salt, pepper, soy sauce packets, duck sauce, etc. The flavors are good to me out of the box. This is one of those take-out places that tips in a delivery menu as part of your weekly snailmail packet of local ads and supermarket circulars. Yes they deliver, but only after 5PM. I actually only recently set foot in here after many, many delivery orders. Lunch specials are cheap, cheap, cheap. The eat-in area is sparse except for a big TV. It’s also downright chilly inside when it’s cold outside. They may not have my eat-in business, but they have my take-out/delivery business.

I used to order this slop 12 years ago when me, Sully and Charlie the Duece would get stoned and play Madden ’98. They deliver lots of greasy combination food in a giant styrophome vat(like you get BBQ joints). I still have giant silver-dollar grease filled pores on my nose from multiple orders over the course of many weekends in the late 90’s. Nothing is original about this place… even the name is terrible.

I grew up in Woburn and this was the place(after Weylu’s closed down) that we would get our chinese from. The owners of the place are wonderful and if you are a regular then they will remember your order even it its a large order(we ordered a lot of stuff all the time!) It is mainly a take out place but you can sit inside and eat while watching soap operas or the news on the tv which is comfortable. The lo mein is the best around because of the thick egg noodles and I love their crab rangoons! I can not find anywhere else where the crab rangoons are so filling and delicious! I live in East Boston now and every so often I will call them up and tell them I am coming and she knows exactly what I like to eat and remembers my name! This place is a definite place to try out and make it a regular take out chinese place, oh and the prices are wonderful as well!

Daily Luncheon Specials $ 2.99!!! Don’t let the price scare you off, thinking that for $ 2.99 it must cheap and gross but to tell you all it was quite3 fresh and good. We ordered here today and it was great. Everyday there are 2 different lunch specials. Of course they have other«regular» lunch combo plates ass well as the full menu. I had the lobster sauce and chicken wings and fried rice. Can not beat That at anywhere. The portion is not huge but who needs a huge lunch portion anyways. You just need enough to get to dinner, right? The quality was not bad and not too greasy. I’ll be back!

I literally grew up on this place as it has been a family favorite for years. The family who runs it is really nice and always accommodating — and they have our typical order memorized, so hows that for customer loyalty? Lo-mein is awesome, the spring rolls are excellent, out of this world pot-stickers with soft shells and meaty fillings and the beef is always delicious and tender, unlike some dried out versions at other places. Take out is fast and relatively inexpensive — perfect for a cold winter night!
