Food was mediocre at best and the service was horrendous. I think our waiter got fired halfway through the meal for the amount he screwed things up. Never going back. Can I give 0 stars?

This place is now CLOSED. Can’t say that I’m too upset about it since the food and service was nothing to write home about. I believe it has since been replaced by a Strega.

Food? not bad, Environment? great, Service? huh? I love the sides more than the main dish, yum. The place is nicely decorated with beautiful elegant flowers. Service, well… after the server recited the specials menu, I asked him how much one of them cost, he ran off, for a while. I’m thinking, wish I had told him I wanted to know price of another item too before he dashed off. They didn’t collect empty plates until the person serving the next plate noticed a lack of table space. Had to try to get server’s attention to refill a soda.

Not terrible but they are in «shut down» mode … I read after we decided to go here that they were selling this place and it was changing ownership in a couple weeks. I would recommend to wait until it reopens. Had dinner there June 2 and it was nothing that you could not get at 100+ chain restaurants. The food was bland and not really exciting or even tasty. The service was slow — and that is being generous. We tried the Balsamic Roasted Beet Salad, Asparagus Fritti and Grilled Steak Tip Salad. I’ve had better. Hopefully with a new owner comes new menus and tastes.

I wasn’t going to write anything but I have to say that my experience at the Beacon Grille on Easter afternoon has been gnawing at me. I generally write reviews when I have had a great experience and when I have a bad experience I try to contact the restaurant directly hoping they will take responsibility. That was not the case here. Easter afternoon my husband and I(alone for the first time on a holiday) went searching for reviews on Unilocal to help us find a good place to have lunch. The reviews for the Beacon Grille were great so I was excited to go. It turned out they were having brunch all day but since the reviews were so great I wanted to give it a chance. I had one plate of mediocre to bad food with no desire to go back for more. I had a crème brulee that was actually dry! I was more than disappointed. At this point I sent an email to the restaurant expressing what I just did here. I did ask if this was an off day or was this really what they were intending. I received an email stating they were sorry and hoped that my experience would not taint my opinion of the restaurant — really??? It already was! So on top of everything else they don’t take responsibility. This«brunch» was $ 48.00 each. I will not come back here for any reason.

Drinks and dinner were delicious! Oysters to start; I would say the shucker could use some more practice. But they oysters were huge and tasty. Dinner I had the rack of lamb with crispy Kale and smashed sweet potatoes. It was perfect! The lamb was cooked just right and the sides were great with it! My boyfriend had the Baked Mahi Mahi ;Cashew fried rice, baby bok choy, Thai coconut-red curry sauce. The sauce had the best flavor ever! He loved the whole dish. Drinks included: Amelia Vodka, House Blackberry Purée, St. Germain, Lemon Col. Bartlett Bourbon, Pear Eau de Vie, Honey, Lemon Stone Fence Apple Brandy, Dark Rum, Cognac, Apple Shrub, Lime They were all delicious the first two being the best. Overall great trip to the Beacon Grille worth every penny!

Had a business«power lunch» here a few weeks ago and was quite impressed. I have worked in the areas for many years and this was my first time here. A bread basket with came with fresh bread and crackers came complimentary to the table. Service was attentive and the place was packed, which was a good sign at 12:30Pm. I had the fish tacos, which was served with rice. It was just ok, not spicy and a bit bland. The fish was big nuggets and not a thin fillet which made it a bit difficult to eat. in a soft taco tortilla. Many of the other diner’s lunches looked great, esp the turkey club.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times. Both times. Delicious food. The first time we were starving and asked the waiter to suggest something that was good and would come out FAST. He understood our level of starvation and suggested we had the tuna tartare. DELICIOUS! It’s a must try, in my opinion. Fresh. Tasty. Not fishy. If you’re a meat lover, like myself, I suggest you try the filet mignon or the filet Oscar. Steak is always cooked perfectly(medium rare for me). Oh and a lump crabmeat, on Oscar. The filet. Drizzled with a housemade Sauce. Hmmm I’m hungry to just think about it! Their lobster Mac and cheese is also excellent. They’re generous with the lobster(As they should be! It ain’t cheap). Oh and their buns and crackers are made onsite. For dessert I’ve only had a chocolate cake and it was really good. Lets not forget one important part. The service. Its always excellent. Dinner for two has always been around $ 80ish with a glass of wine and without tip. Not cheap but its completely worth it.

Standing alone in an office complex in Woburn, sits a solid little restaurant: Beacon Grille. Based on the lunch menu this was most likely a place on the expensive side, but it was still worth checking out. They recently updated their menu with some new items, as told by the waitstaff. Their newest item in particular that I gave a go was the Ahi Tuna Melt. Seared tuna on a marbled roll, blanketed with a slice of melted Gruyère cheese, combined with vine tomatoes and smothered in scampi aioli made up this delicious sandwich. It was incredibly rich in the best way. The fries were cooked wonderfully and complimented the rest of the dish. It was very delicious. The staff was great and very helpful. They actually recommended the Ahi Tuna Melt to begin with, but I am usually skeptical about pushing a particular dish. However, it seemed that their recommendation was in the right. The highlight of the meal was when we were being served by two different waiters, we accidentally got two copies of the check. The 2nd waitress covered it up nicely by yelling out, «Redundancies!» comically. All in all, it was a great little meal. I would like to see what they offered in the evening. Good stuff.

I just came back from lunch at the Beacon Grille. The space is very nice once inside, and with the lighting and darker features would actually be an atmosphere more suitable for date night than lunch, but I digress. We were in a hurry to get back to work so the hostess advised us to eat at the bar. The bar was all marble and very big, so I would imagine the place does a fairly good business with the after work crowd. I had a turkey club, and it was very much above your standard sandwich. A very large version of the club accompanied by some cole slaw and home cut fries. It was excellent. The negatives are pretty brief but still exist nonetheless. The location of the restaurant is not the greatest. It is in the bottom of a large office building right beside the highway. Had a co-worker not suggested this place, I wouldn’t have known it existed due to its off the beaten path location. The parking was not the greatest, and getting in and out of here wasn’t the easiest. However, the food was great and would warrant a second visit. Not sure when that will be, but it remains a possibility.

Was in the area recruiting for my own restaurants and decided to try it out. Good thing too: Ample parking, convenient Nice room, beautiful wood and marble Very well groomed and helpful staff… I was assisted by no less. than 3 people, all polite and knowledgeable Good manager floor presence, the manager stopped by my table to inquire about my experience Learned that all profits of this restaurant go to charity! How nice is that!!! Food was good and appropriately portion. I had the ahi tuna blt. Lunch and dessert menu had good variety and reasonable prices. Service was and professional. I recommend!

Since its opening, we’ve been here a couple of times in that is convenient to the multiplex across the street and I95. It has to be one of the newest, and ugliest, office buildings in the area. The restaurant charms, though. Attentive staff, varied menu, decent food, and decent service. We especially like the fact that the restaurant’s proceed support several philanthropies of the building’s owner. In our times to dine we’ve had their large entrée salads, calamari, and beef dishes. Although none our top notch stellar, it is good food, and a competitive price. With so few choices in that corner of Woburn, its nice to find a place where you can enjoy decent food and support the good works of a nonprofit.

Yeah, I usually only go here when someones else pays. The food is really great. The service is not speedy but their devotion to customer service is outstanding. They’ll make right anything you think is even slightly wrong. Great wedge salads. Everyone talks about the lobster mac n cheese, should I be so cliché? Well flavored chicken and steak.

eh, Beacon Grille is ok. The ambience is pretty good for such an oddly located restaurant. I ordered the steak with shoestring fries and blue cheese. The meat was very tasty but the arrangement of the dish was odd. From the description I assumed it was a steak frites dish with blue cheese. It was really just meat. The shoestring fries were basically a garnish and the blue cheese crumbles were not plentiful enough to add to the flavor. The bed of greens it came on simply had too many tastes going on and a lot of it was too bitter for me. My friend had the chicken which was moist and came with some nice mashed potatoes and butternut squash. The food was pretty good. The service wasn’t great. Even though we went for dinner around 9 on a week night we had to wait over fifteen minutes after we finished eating to get our bill.

If you live or work in the Burlington area this restaurant is definitely worth checking out. The location is a little strange as it’s at the bottom of a new office building right off the side of 95/128, but once you find a parking spot and get inside you forget about the weird location. You remember again when you have to walk out of the restaurant and into a random hallway to use the bathroom, but then you can finally focus on the food. The food is quite good and there are some interesting beers on draft and in bottles to quench your thirst and ultimately send you back to that random bathroom again. The scallops were some of the best I’ve ever had with crunchy pancetta on top and an incredible sauce from leeks. The bar appetizers are also tasty if you end up coming for happy hour one night with coworkers. They don’t have a gluten free menu, but the waitstaff seemed familiar with gluten allergies and said they were confident they could alter menu items no problem. I look forward to coming back with my wife and seeing how they do.

The food was good and the atmosphere was upbeat. We ate in the bar, which was very spacious. It’s a great place to meet friends and just hang out. They have a great drink menu too.

I won a gift card to Beacon Grille a few weeks ago and had no idea how I was going to get to Woburn. I lured a friend with a car in at the offer of a semi-free meal and headed on over last night. The restaurant is a lot bigger and a lot nicer than expected, and was pretty filled up for a Wednesday night. We started off with some wine(they have a pretty extensive list and a couple of wines by the glass) and complimentary shots of chilled potato-leek soup. The flavor of the soup was delicious but a little thick for my preference — but who cares, it was free. I ordered the lobster mac n’ cheese for my entrée and was pleasantly surprised to discover HUGE chunks of lobster baked between the cheesy shells and breadcrumbs. Yum. The mac n’ cheese was super rich and cheesy — thankfully the serving wasn’t gigantic so I didn’t go home feeling sick, just in a semi mac n’ cheese induced coma. No biggie. It came with sides of green beans and sauteed spinach which were delicious as well. One thing I really liked about this menu was that unlike many steakhouses your sides are included in the meal and don’t have to be ordered separately. We finished off the meal in the best way possible with the molten chocolate lava cake which was awesome, of course. If I hadn’t had a gift card I may have taken the trip to Woburn anyway simply for the restaurant’s philanthropy efforts. 100% of its net profits go to the Cummings/Hillel Holocaust and Genocide Education Program at Tufts, which is pretty cool in my book. Another plus, they are very active on twitter so tweet away if you like talking to restaurants :)

A nicer place to eat off the 95. Lobster Mac and Cheese should be ordered as an appetizer, not an entrée. It’s simply too heavy. A few bites was enough for me. I ordered the veal, and then got yelled at by a member of my dining party for not being kind to baby cows. That was probably the worst part of the night, but other than that, I think the food here is pretty good and worth a look. Most items are around $ 20 – 30 per plate.

I went with Mom and Sis for Mother’s Day here and the food was superb! I’ll tell you something though that almost ruined the spectacular food… ALMOST. It took us two table changes to avoid the arctic blast from the ceiling. If you are not a fan of cold, REALLYCOLD seating then do not choose a seat by the window. Unless it was just that night, you’d want to make sure you sat in the middle or inside walls of the restaurant. Onto the food, we had a massive helping of everything. Off the top of the list you MUST if you are a LOBSTER fan order the Lobster Mac&cheese. Yeah yeah I know it’s been done before, but this place put’s almost a whole lobster in this dish and for the price, you CAN’T beat it. Beacon Sea Scallops was a true winner. Their desert(crème brule) is a MUSTTRY. The atmosphere is great, it gives you the décor and feel of a Capital Grille minus the frills and grills. Surely being located in Woburn has something to do with it, but the reputation and food should be worth the trip.
