**The place where kids have so much fun, they beg to stay later. ** The After School Club offers high quality child care to children in grades K — 8. On school days we operate from 2:30 p.m. — 5:45 p.m. Transportation is provided from Woburn elementary schools. During school vacations, we are open from 7:45am — 5:45pm. Each day includes a field trip (e.g. bowling or skating) or an in house special activity which may include a pizza and ice cream party or a magic show. For the summer… don’t pay for days you don’t need. We offer summer fun — One Day at a Time. Join us for our annual Tie Dye Day, our kickball game at Weafer Park and voted the most favorite field trip of all… Old Country Buffet.

History

Established in 1995.

The After School Club is a joint ministry of two Woburn churches, the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and the United Methodist Church. It was created in 1995 by Leslie Hastings in response to expressed community need for additional after school care that is both high in quality and affordable in price.

Meet the Manager

Chris and Carolyn S.

Manager

**Co-​Director Chris Serson has worked at the After School Club since 1997 as a Group Leader, and Swim Time Supervisor driving the children to the N. Woburn pool. As the After School Club grew, so did the need for an additional administrator. In 2000 founder and Director Leslie Hastings put her to work in the office as her Co-​Director. She has been there ever since enjoying the roles of activity planner, field trip guru, Excel queen, and her favorite role — bestower of hugs. **Co-​Director Carolyn Sharp-​Hegarty has been in the child care field for over 25 years. She was on the Board of Directors when ASC began in 1995. After over 25 years in child care as preschool teacher, childcare director, group leader, after school site director and Education Coordinator, Carolyn rejoined the staff as a Group Leader in 2005 and became Co-​Director in Feb. of 2008. Carolyn is the person to go to for questions about tuition as well as fundraisers and financial assistance.
