We decided to visit JC Penneys inside the Rapids Mall as its the only one that exists in a 50 mile radius. My husband was looking for a suit. After leaving empty handed, we decided to stroll around the mall as it was a Friday night and wanted to see if any events were taking place. Very disappointed. I haven’t been to the Rapids Mall in over a decade but it was more empty than I remembered. They had a Besthada Thrift shop, a pet shop, Bath and Body Works, Tea Shop, a cupcake shop, a local coughing store, Penneys, and a craft place. The mall was on life support. We went to the pet shop and almost everyone who came to the mall was in there. The«food court» was a joke. They had a pizza shop, that was all. We spent 30 minutes here and left. Don’t waste your time unless you want to visit Bath and Body, Tea Shop, or the pet shop.

Ghost town! Stopped in to pick up some clothing and maybe something to eat. JC Penney and Yonkers had very limited selection. I think I was the only one shopping in both stores. The places to eat were slim and one didn’t even have anyone around to take an order!

As malls go this one is small. If you are looking to tackle your entire Christmas list in one trip you may want to look elsewhere but for the residents in the area this a great resource. The anchor stores are Younkers and JC Penny(another reviewer erroneously mentioned Target). Store directory can be found here
