Me and the wifey just ate here during happy hour and everything was fantastic. Seth T. was a great bartender, he was attentive and made a lot of recommendations. We had the Scottish eggs, ahi tuna, and quesadillas; everything was outstanding. Best bloodymary by far, get the 33oz!

My family and I have eaten at Sprecher’s in WI Dells several times and we’ve always had a decent experience(i.e. not great, but at least 3 stars). This time, however, was one for the record books, and it was all due to service. Going at the beginning of summer was our BIG mistake. The restaurant is full of first-time summer staff who have little if any previous wait-staff experience(or people experience for that matter). Here is a recap: (1) Waitress dropped a plate of dipping sauces from our table onto the floor next to my wife(marinara, ranch and honey-mustard) — a total accident(trying to do too much at once). (2) Marinara sauce splattered all over my wife’s clothes(her yellow shirt and tan shorts could have been the work of a 2 year old splatter-paint master artist) (3) Waitress literally says«oops» and leaves(we assumed she was going to get help cleaning this up and possibly address my wife’s new clothing nightmare) (4) waitress returns 4 minutes later with a small water cup(filled with club soda and a lemon) and a hand towel with the following instructions«just scrub until it with this until comes out». (6) My wife, makes the futile attempt — nothing comes out, but rather, tomato blobs turn into tomato smears. (7) Our two kids pick out tomato blobs from my wife’s hair (8) Waitress then serves food by walking around my wife who has been in the aisle cleaning her clothes for the past 10 minutes, ignoring the mess on my wife(which did not come off by scrubbing with club soda and lemon) and ignoring the mess on the booth and floor which had not yet been cleaned by any of the staff(nor was cleaned during our shortened stay). (9) We then asked for the manager. (10) The waitress,(not the manager) returns with a 10% discount on our bill(equated to $ 5.10). (10) My wife just wants to leave so she can go back to the hotel room and change(now that she is soaking in club soda and tomato sauce). (11) we paid the bill with the inept waitress literally looking over our shoulder as we do and hearing her tell us to stay and order dessert(not get consolation desserts… order desserts to add to our bill). We would’ve probably made a bigger to-do at the restaurant, but we had tickets to the Tommy Bartlett show and my wife really did have to go back to the hotel room to change. The waitress, manager(and wait staff who observed the mess) were simply ill-equipped and ill-prepared to handle the mess and their response was truly pathetic — on the verge of ridiculous.

Surprisingly really good! Typical pub food and family environment. Had pretzels, Mediterranean chicken sandwich(gyro), burger, spinach artichoke dip. Would definitely go back. Great for team/group event as they have a septet group room they reserved for us. Really enjoyed it.

One thing I hate is being seated at a table I like, ordering, then being told that«That table is reserved, you have to move.» I picked that table because it was in the shade and I didn’t feel like roasting in the afternoon sun. There were no other areas on the patio in full shade so I was stuck moving to the bar. I know it’s a pet peeve, but it’s MY pet peeve and I made my annoyance known to the manager. It did no good.

It looks like an Applebee’s, but food was delicious and service was great! Reuben was one of the best I’ve had… hubby had a great salad. Foodie 12 y.o. had sushi bites that id expect in a fancy restaurant. Quite unexpected! Used Unilocal check in for 10% off!

The restaurant was not packed as my wife and I came during the off season of the Dells. Overall a great spot for food and libations

While traveling thru the Dells during the off season we looked for something to eat by the number of cars in the parking lot. This place had the most cars and it food and service explains why! Prompt service and range of craft brew beer and sodas give a little bit of an edge to this restaurant. We ordered the nachos to stand and beware they are huge! Our entrees arrived shortly after we were done with the nachos and were good, both were of American/German flavors that didn’t disappoint. If I ever an I’m the area again and want a good meal this would be the place I would visit!

We ordered the Reuben rolls for an app, and they were delicious! I had the curd burger which was very good. Other meals at our table were the BBQ burger, mushroom and swiss burger, and sauerbraten. Everything was great!

1 out of 4 on the dinners. Wurst was delicious, but another veg option besides the mountain of cabbage would be nice. Chicken quinoa, kids pizza and Thai flatbread all fell flat. Service was not great, and slow. Third star is for the beer.

Family friendly. Full bar. Prime rib on Saturdays! Their signature dishes are wonderful and very creative – not just a burger or a chicken sandwich. Pot roast with noodles, Mahi Thai tacos, were the ones we had and they cooked well and accompanied by well paired sides. Good choice for our family on vacay.

Came by Thursday evening for dinner and our group of four was quickly seated. The rest of our service was quite good. We waited a short amount of time for our food to be served and drinks and waters were filled regularly. I got the curd burger with a side of sweet potato fries. I liked that there were a decent number of side options to choose from and that all were the same price. Some places will charge extra for pretty much anything besides regular fries. The burger was fine, but definitely have had better. I was expecting some really good pub fare but thought it was quite average here. I liked the idea of the cheese curd topping, but thought they tasted meh. The burger was just kinda one-noted, in that I couldn’t really taste anything specific. Everything blended together and not in the best way, as it kinda fell flat for me. The sweet potato fries, however, were pretty tasty. The house drinks do seem quite good. I very much enjoyed their homemade cherry cola. I tried their tripel which was also very tasty, but their amber ale wasn’t as memorable. Overall, probably a fine place to go in the area.

The Dells has been short on dinning options for decades. This sit down but casual place for american fare and tasty rootbeers and beers is an much needed addition to the Dells lack of decent eats.

Headline: Better than good. Great, when you consider the options in the area. Summary: The service was outstanding. No complaints. Our server was fast, friendly and helpful. The food was very good; candidly, that surprised me. The BBQ wings were outstanding. A must order, especially on Monday’s when they’re on special. The BBQ chicken pizza and curd burger were both solid. No complaints about the steak wedge salad. Killer beer selection and that root beer and cream soda are so damn good, on tap. This place was just great.

This place definitely deserves 5 stars — and that’s not just from the delicious drinks they have on tap, either. Sprecher’s is a restaurant/bar hybrid — with(I believe) a full-service bar. Of course, their focus in the bar area is on their own line of beers and gourmet sodas, but they also have other alcohol around and are happy to work with what you want. The bar area does have a TV, and they’re happy to serve their food while sitting at the bar counter as well. The time spent here was at the bar, and I was definitely impressed with the service. The bartender was a super-friendly female who was happy to talk about her favorites and least favorites and recommend things for us. Though I couldn’t find it anywhere on the menu, she was happy to pour me a root beer float($ 3!!! Yay!), and I was a happy girl at the bar.(They even use local ice cream from a small business in Madison) I’m quite fond of the gourmet soda set-up here at Sprecher’s because it encourages an alternative for the Designated Driver to have a way to participate without having to sit around with a cup of water. Their sodas are definitely affordable, and like mentioned, their root beer floats are very affordable too. It’s fun to have a drink out of the«tap» like everyone else without having to worry about the alcoholic content. As for the rest of their beers, the favorite seemed to be their Apple Pie. The bartender said they sell it in the growler, but they don’t sell it in the six-pack of bottles like they do most of their drinks. Definitely would be back. Very positive experience — everything about the place was nice. Service was exceptional, the entire décor was themed and matched, everything was clean, and they offered a lot of good drink options — both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Note: If visiting during the 2015 season, you can find coupons for 10% off your entire food order in Wisconsin Dells promotional materials. They also have a bar happy hour between 3−6PM and after 9PM.

I love this German-based micro-brewery! They really got the goods goin’ on with that hard root beer of theirs. Of course they have other drinks(both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that are very good and worthwhile, but you gotta have the hard root beer from the source, especially if you’ve never had it before! However, if you are not a big root beer drinker(which is blasphemy if you are not) then there’s other options, one of which may be their Oktoberfest depending on the time in which you go. Their Oktoberfest is quite delicious and you can get it(as well as any of their other beers) bottled in a super cool stainless steel Growler for about $ 20. Although the beer was amazing(which is what I expected of course) I left Sprecher’s raving about their Wurst Platter instead of their beer. It’s that German blood of mine that makes me love some good olé bratwursts and they have not one, not two, but three of them in the same platter! Can you say, «woah!»? It doesn’t even stop there — they also serve some schnitzel and red cabbage with it, both of which are beyond-words-amazing. If I lived anywhere near Sprecher’s Restaurant & Pub that would be bad news because I’d be eating way too many sausages for my own good. But let’s not talk about bratwursts anymore, let’s talk about those cheese curds. They are pretty good, I must say, especially if you dip them in their beer cheese! I’ve actually had better cheese curds, but these were still pretty stinkin’ good. Besides the food and the beer which were obviously really good, the service was also good(excluding the hostess who was clearly not happy with the fact that she had to be there on a Saturday night). Our waiter was pretty chill and happy to chit chat with us tourists despite having several other customers at the same time. Overall, I’m super glad that my fiancé and I ate at Sprecher’s because it was a delicious experience! If you like hardy German food, root beer and a cool atmosphere then this is definitely a place for you to hit up on your vacation. Until next time!

Wait, I get to wear a bird on my head and drink amazing hard root beer? Schnitzel?! Sold! I knee as soon as we walked in that we found a gem. Kid friendly, and definitely adult friendly, this is a perfect combination. Our server, Maxim from Russia, was outstanding. He made great suggestions and all of them hit the spot. The food came out really fast, I couldn’t believe it when it was brought out piping hot and quick! We got growlers to go of the harf root beer and tripel bc we loved them so much. I definitely recommend coming here for food and beer!
