I have been to several Hy-​Vees and this is, by far, the best one! We were greeted immediately when we walked in by every worker we passed. They checked to see if there was anything we needed help with. I’m still amazed! Smiles all around wherever we looked.
The buffet looked fresh, hot, & delicious. The cold bar was exactly the same. We went to the meat counter and got two fresh made sandwiches (see pictures)
You can guarantee I’ll be back

After having major surgery I decided last Tuesday to give my wife a break and get some fried chicken for dinner. We got it home and it was so dry and tough we could not eat it. One thigh bone had been broken so badly the meat was all black with coagulated blood. Nothing about it was good. I had to get out the next day for a checkup and we stopped at Hy Vee to pick up a few things and to tell them about the chicken and was immediately offered fresh fried chicken. The problem, I did not want a repeat of the chicken, I wanted a refund for throwing almost $ 12.00 in the garbage but I do commend her for the offer which is why I gave two stars instead of one. Will I be back? Nope. Let’s just say that both experiences left a bad taste in my mouth.
