Didn’t plan to go here and I am very glad we did. We just happen to notice Fresh as we were driving around Winter Park. I tried the French toast and bacon, both amazing. My gf had the grilled peach salad. I don’t think I can think of any words that could perfectly describe both dishes. I recommend trying one of the many different mimosa’s! I know we will be going back very soon! Thanks again Jamie, for finding us a spot and for great service!

Wow. Just wow. Service– Check! Food– Check+! Location– Check! Local ingredients– CHECK! Before I even get to the meal, you MUST order their infused waters. With flavors like Lavender Lime, Cucumber Mint, Lemon Basil, and Rosemary infused water how can you go wrong?! I went with the Lavender Lime, which had a hint of the happiness you get sipping on the water left over from a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal(sounds weird, but trust me– it’s sooooo good!) and my friend went with the Cucumber Mint, which was as refreshing as you are currently imagining. These waters were so good that they almost overshadowed the Pear passion fruit mimosa we got next. Now, when I say pear and passionfruit I mean that our FABULOUS server, Mohammed, told us what flavors he had available(based on the season) and suggested a combination that he liked. Now the food– I was not feeling overly hungry(see: mimosa and waters), so I chose a few apps. The Soup Du Jour was some amazing Indian-inspired lentil and spinach soup that Blew. Me. Away. I seriously considered going back that evening to get more of it. I’m a soup-lover, but this was so complex in flavor, and so hearty that I could have stopped right there and been more than satisfied(and happy!). BUT, my eyes are bigger than my stomach, so I also ordered the Brussels Sprouts app and the Yucca Fries with a Duo of Sauces. Neither of these dishes are actual appetizer-size. They’re huge and absolutely mouthwatering! Brussels Sprouts can easily go wrong, but the Fresh folks sautee them in brown butter(as opposed to yellow butter?), caramelized onion, granny smith apples, and LOCAL, Lake Meadows bacon(the thick, fabulous kind). I probably ate my weight in Brussels Sprouts that morning. And I didn’t regret it at all! The Yucca came in a cute tin bucket with a chimichurri aioli and chilli-garlic ketchup. Both sauces were the stars here. I debated taken them as quick shots but thought that my brunch date would judge me… I now regret not doing this. Last, but certainly not least, is the service. WOW, the service. While we waited for our meals to come, Jaime(another wonderful server) came around and kept refreshing out waters with new ice cubes. I have never seen this before, but we were outside on a hot morning and it was such a nice touch! Mohammed made sure to talk to us about each dish we ordered and was incredibly personable, explaining that Fresh is a Chef-owned(a Female Chef! Wooo!) restaurant and talking about their focus on local, seasonal ingredients(which is why their menu changes often). tl;dr — Order freakishly-awesome infused water; Brussels Sprouts; the Soup du Jour; and bring plenty of cash for tipping, because the service will be top-notch.

Brunch was on the menu today. We sat outside and it made the experience more enjoyable since it was such a nice Sunday morning. Chorizo Benedict was a good twist to the original Benedict. But it was best paired with their infamous Brussel sprouts. Who loves brussel sprouts anyway?! Let Fresh convince you to favor the flavor! Then comes the oh-so huge portion of Chicken & waffles with their unique syrup. There’s something in it that I just can’t figure out. Maybe another order of chicken & waffles will help me figure it out. ;-) Overall experience was a nice elegant brunch on Sunday. Watch out for the crowd across the street tho. They have $ 3 mimosas. Enough said.

Twice a week, I visit the same restaurant, an hour from home? Yup, and the experience was worth five stars, both times. Staff is attentive without hovering, and very knowledgeable, despite the changing menu, and ready to accommodate requests and offer suggestions. The food is prepared excellently, perfect temperature, with a beautiful, appetizing presentation. While it’s not that hard to present food beautifully, it requires good food, and caring enough to ensure time is taken to enhance the customer’s meal, basically, treating the customer with respect. My only complaint is that the yucca fries were a little stringy. I believe that’s a function of the plant itself, though, and I don’t know if you can check for it before cooking it. I guess he chef could sample them. Let me put it this way, it didn’t stop us from quickly devouring them!

Great date night choice. Our table actually had a little reserved sign on it when we arrived. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. It’s one of the few restaurants in the greater Orlando area, I want to go back to. Soon! Tired of the usual suspects– Luma, Ravenous Pig, the upscale Steak restaurants, etc? You’ll love Fresh. The restaurant is small and intimate, but not hushed or formal. The vibe is big city. You could be in Dallas, Denver or somewhere in CA. Fresh is across from Dexters on New England Ave in the Hannibal Square area. It’s a bit hard to find, until you realize, oh, there it is! There are a few tables outside and a nice little bar inside. There’s plenty of street and parking lot parking down there, great if you o don’t like valet parking or trying to parallel park on Park Ave. I first realized Fresh was there during a wine event on New England Ave. The owner was promoting the restaurant’s wine choices, which are organic or sustainable(or something.) The important thing to me is the creativity and depth of the wine by the glass list with lots of choices from around the world. When I asked about a French Rose, the server immediately offered to bring a sample. He brought one for my date as well. Major service points for that. We both ended up with delicious reds, one an interesting blend the server recommended(fabulous) and mine, a California cab. The wine list describes each wine well, so you can try something new without taking a big risk. The food is home-cooked delicious. Very fresh(duh.). As an appetizer, we had a platter, not sure of the name but it had 4 different dip kind of things. One was a yummy thick hummus, tasted like it had just been made! The other three were delicious too and the serving plate was creative and had other accompaniments on it to make it a more interesting offering. There was more than enough for two. For entrees, we had the filet, which was very tender and delicious with a chimichurri style sauce(but a different and to me, better, flavor than the usual) and a fish dish, equally delicious. Dessert was a cheesecake slice with a heavenly lemon cream. The slice was Nobu size, meaning about half as large as it should be… Just too small. But realllly good. Service was good, attentive, informative but not intrusive. Kind of hate to write this because soon it’ll be hard to get a reservation… Enjoy.

What a fabulous brunch! I love the intimate vibe going on here. The food was fantastic — I had crème brûlée french toast and my husband had the chicken and waffles. The ingredients are local and seasonal and the food was excellent. They were accommodating with our daughter and whipped up some eggs and bacon for her(uhm, the bacon is killer). They offer a few different mimosa flavors and they were $ 4 or $ 5, which is very reasonable for Winter Park. In fact, all of the food was reasonable, which is a pleasant surprise considering the quality of the ingredients and the location. I would recommend making a reservation because the space is tiny and sometimes the weather is not great for sitting outside. We will definitely be back!

They live up to their store front name — Fresh Fresh indeed they are, local-sourced ingredients picked at their peak for ultimate freshness. I ordered off their lunch menu Carne asada sandwich — 5⁄5 you get big chunks of carne asada with an oh so delicious chimichurri mayo sauce. Topped with fresh baby spinach and greens, it comes with a mini side house dilled pickles and carrots. Perfect balance of sweetness and sour. Yucca fries 3⁄5 — this place would’ve gotten 5⁄5 stars but I had to dock them because of the flimsy fries, it was flavorless and soggy. The dual sauce it comes with one of which was the chimichurri mayo(over load on this sauce) and I’m not sure maybe a house made BBQ/ketchup I don’t know it wasn’t working for me. Sweet owner, I called prior to arrival to make sure outdoor seating was available because my adorable dog Luke would be with me. She reserved a table right away and once I was seated service was quick.

I absolutely LOVE fresh! This small, quaint restaurant is very welcoming with nice bar seating and tables that flow out onto the sidewalk. The service staff is friendly and always attentive, welcoming new faces as they walk in the door. The music and simple décor fit right in and gives you a level of comfort, like dining at a hip friend’s house. The menu? What’s not to love? Besides having an incredible commitment to locally-sourced goods, everything available to order has a taste and level of presentation that is beyond compare. It frequently is changed and refreshed as the seasons change and new ingredients become available. I live all the way out in Kissimmee but the drive through Orlando just to get here a couple of times a month is WELL worth it. If you’re more of a local, you’re in luck! You won’t be disappointed while dining at fresh.

Having originally discovered this place the same day we made a reservation, I was hesitant about this place. The reviews before me were all good, but it was a total shot in the dark as to whether we’d enjoy it. Needless to say, my concerns were completely unfounded. This place is fantastic. Rolling up to it you can barely tell where it is, it’s tucked away on New England ave between some shops and bigger Restos and has a very small actual dining room with a bar. Walking in your greeted by a welcoming staff behind the bar. It’s a very modern, but intimate, familial atmosphere and it’s immediately comfortable. Our waitress Allie was immediately there to offer us different flavored waters(the lavender is a perfect blend of interested but subtle) and answer any questions about the menu. The menu itself is very simple: a few apps, a few salads, and a few entrees, but each is unique, and delicious sounding. I had the Asian lobster wontons in a pork broth while my date had the pumpkin gnocchi. They were amazing. The wonton dish was a really great classic japanese dish but updated with the spice of an andouille broth. Very. Good. The gnocchi was awesome too. Not too sweet, but very fresh tasting. The pumpkin didn’t overpower but blended really well with the herbs to make a great dish. Overall, this place is warm, inviting, modern, and creative. The focus on organic, farm to table, food is a refreshing update in a city filled with chains, and the staff are wonderful. This place is a hidden gem!

My keeping it local birthday weekend of dining continued today with another first for us here at Fresh. I suppose the best thing I can say is that I ate way more food than I had intended to because it was all so good. This is another place where the focus is on locally sourced, organic produce and hormone/antibiotic free meat & fish. Prices reflect the higher quality food sources but the portions are very generous. We shared a pear salad, the she’s got seoul sandwich and an order of yucca fries. From the berry flavored green tea to the homemade ketchup and chimichurri aioli everything was great. The salad had mixed organic greens, lake meadow naturals bacon, poached pears, local goat cheese with a fig balsamic. I make my own bacon(out of pork belly I buy at lake meadow naturals) so I’m a bacon snob. This was awesome bacon. The sandwich, served on a fresh baked roll, had korean bbq braised beef and a cucumber kimchi. I am just putting it out there that I would have an incredibly happy husband if I could score the recipe for that beef. The yucca fries were crispy where they should have been and light and fluffy where should have been and the aforementioned dipping sauces were really addictive. Liked it all … ate it all … For the record our server was perfectly delightful. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time — even the yucca fries which we added on after the fact — came out quickly. It’s a tiny place and they were full so the noise level was high. But I would not hesitate to go back here again.

I had an intimate dinner here with an old friend, and I loved the place.(It reminded me of one of my favorite Brooklyn restaurants, Ici…). I enjoyed the lamb and lentils. the wine selection was great. We went on a Tuesday night. Just a few tables full and the servers gave us the perfect amount of attention: attentive, but not overbearing; warm and friendly. And we had an mouth-watering peanut butter/chocolate cake for dessert. I love the vibe of this place. It’s not prevention, but easygoing. It has excellent(and local!!) food, but it’s not showy about it. Just a quiet dedication to quality and taste. Amazing detail: flavored waters. I had lavender, which was delightful.

I came to Fresh on my lunch break, looking for something different. The majority of their ingredients are sourced from farms and such within 150 miles, so you have to love that! Because of this, I have to assume that their menu is constantly changing. I had a manchego cheese and fig sandwich. The sandwich was very good, and just right amount of food. Here are my takeaways… 1. I ordered a sandwich with three ingredients(4 if you count the bread), and it took almost 35 minutes for me to receive my food. I understand that they want to make sure it is done correctly, but 35 minutes might be a little excessive 2. They have cucumber water, which I love! I know that sounds weird, but for some reason I feel like I could drink a bucket full of cucumber water. 3. I wasn’t WOWed by the food, but it was good. I think that if I were to come back again I would try a salad the next time.

Visited Fresh today for lunch with a coworker to check it off my bookmark list and i think i just had too high of expectations. The restaurant is cute and very small which was nice because it gave it a cozy feel but I imagine it will fill up quick at the popular Hannibal Square area. The food options all sounded yummy and I was kind of searching for a classic comfort food type meal so i got the grilled chicken club. The chicken was definitely fresh and had great flavor but the bacon was really better compared to beef jerky than bacon. It was so tough it was actually hard to bite off and i ended up removing it all completely from the sandwich because it was so tough and chewy. The bread was a little hard/crispy as well and again although it had great flavor, it was difficult for me to eat because of the crispiness. Maybe a little less time in the oven next time… I wish i enjoyed my visit more. The service was good although the food seemed to take a while. Not sure if I’ll come back or not… maybe for wine and to try some of the dinner options but at this price point there are so many other options in the Winter Park area I’m just not sure if it would be one of my top picks.

We visited Fresh on Saturday night for dinner. I decided to make reservations since the space was small and am lucky I did. While it wasn’t busy when we arrived(7pm) there were a few couples eating outside. Once inside I noticed all of the(few) tables were reserved. Quite a few«walk ups» came while we were there and given the option to sit at the 2 unreserved seats at the bar or outside. We ordered the eggplant salad and 2 glasses of a Chilean wine — a lovely surprise! Between the stacked eggplant was a creamy goat cheese and topped with just the right amount of red sauce(wish I could remember what exactly). For entrees, we orders the bouillabaisse and filet. The bouillabaisse was heavenly and perfectly prepared. The broth was flavorful and best eaten with the 2 large pieces of grilled bread that accompanied the meal. My filet was ordered medium rare and served atop mashed cauliflower, alongside asparagus. That filet was BYFAR the best I have ever had. It was done so perfectly I felt foolish for using a steak knife. We opted not to order dessert simply because we felt like we consumed right the right amount of food not to feel overly stuffed but completely satisfied. I’m sure we will on our next visit, though!

Expensive but delicious. This place lives up to its name. I went here for dinner with a good friend on a weekday, and we were the only ones in the restaurant when we got there at around 7. That made me a little worried at first, but a few more couples joined us around 8. The place is super small(seemed like there was seating for maybe 20 between inside and outside) but quaint. We started off with two glasses of pinot noir and korean pork as an appetizer. The pork was a tiny bit chewy but the taste and presentation were excellent. We each chose the pear salad. Greens topped with goat cheese, bacon, a light vinaigrette, and of course pears, this was probably one of the most tasty salads I’ve ever had. It was a nice portion and so we did not order a «main dish» and went straight for the dessert. The dark chocolate passion fruit mousse with whipped cream and strawberries made the night. Love the fact that they bring in food locally here, which justifies the higher prices.

Brunch heaven! I went for Sunday brunch and besides the fact that everything here is organically grown, their dishes are unique and full of flavor. The owner /chef is half Italian and half Filipino and the other owner is Panamanian-Lebanese. She and her staff were so sweet and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is small but don’t let that fool you. There’s always customers coming in and out. I suggest making a reservation before showing up! Mimosas of lots of different juices! Peach, Pear, Mango, Orange, Guava, etc. The sangria is so yummy and they’re very generous with the red wine: D The popular Chipotle Eggs Benedict is everything and more! Topped with their hollandaise and freshly cooked chorizo. It’s a little spicy but nothing too crazy. I’ve never had eggs benedict like that before, definitely something new and i loved it! My friend ordered the french toast and wow. Sometimes I can’t handle too much french toast because I find it too sweet. But I honestly could have finished this whole plate. Topped with thin-sliced pears and caramel-maple syrup. Ah! I’m craving it now lol. I want to go on another sunday so I can try their chicken and waffles! yummmmm. I do want to go during the week for dinner. The owner told us that they have fresh hand-rolled lumpia every night for dinner! YUM! You can tell that the owner incorporated Filipino-style cooking with the Italian flavor and the outcome is so FRESH ;D loll, sorry i wanted to be cute.

All local, fresh ingredients-what’s not to love?! Immediately when I walked in I fell in love with the ambiance and décor. Our crew(there for a girl’s brunch) ordered a round of mimosas. The pineapple and guava mimosas were delish. I was pleasantly surprised at how many flavors of mimosas they had to choose from. For our entrees, us three ladies ordered the Chicken and Waffles, Frittata and Chipotle Eggs Benedict. We each had a sample of all three and I seriously would recommend all of them! I didn’t sample the chicken because I’m a vegetarian but my meat loving friends gave it rave reviews. Everything was so tasty and we had awesome service from the staff. Being a vegetarian I was so happy at all the veggie options they had to offer! This place is so refreshing and, in my opinion, a restaurant that could be found in NYC.

Lovely. Fresh. Flavorful. Refreshing. Enjoyed the ms Saigon salad as well as the beat salad. Looking forward to trying the sandwiches and dinner. Have returned several times and still love the place. The Sunday brunch is terrific — really enjoy the chorizo eggs benedict. I thought their chicken and waffles were spot on(and I am not a fan of chicken and waffles)

We had a good experience here tonight. The setting was small and the color palate was soothing and cool. The servers were very nice and helpful. The menu was limited, which I always prefer(do a few things well). We were offered still, sparking, or cucumber and mint water, and a new wine list. We tried the Ms Saigon salad(very fresh and tasty), the chicken satay(with a yummy and slightly spicy peanut sauce), the pork tostadas, and the steamed mussels. Everything was simple and good. I will certainly eat here again.

Brand New Winter Park Restaurant: Fresh Café — Organic, Locally Sourced Today I had the chance to experience a new and exciting Café/Restaurant in Winter Park on New England across the street from Dexter’s and next to Chez Vincent. Fresh Café just opened earlier this September, their focus is on locally sourced organic healthy food. They cater to all diets, vegetarian and carnivores alike. I started off with the spreads and bread which featured the following spreads with grilled pita bread: garlic hummus, cucumber Tzatziki sauce and goat cheese/sun-dried tomato spread. My favorites here were the sun-dried tomato spread and the grilled pita bread. The spread was really creamy, smooth and had a great flavor, the grill marks on the pita bread pieces was a really nice touch and added to the taste. Next up I had the Ms. Saigon Asian inspired salad($ 8) with grilled chicken added. The chunks of chicken were generous and large and again had a nice set of grill marks on them adding a nice light char to the flavor. The salad itself was medium sized with vegetables on a bed of black rice. The vegetables were julienne Cabbage, Daikon, Cucumbers, Carrots, Scallions, Peanuts, Cilantro, mint, basil sesame-ginger dressing In addition to unique salads they also have a nice variety of sandwiches and a daily soup special. Staff and owner were all really friendly and service was good. Prices averaged about $ 10 for lunch with dinner being a bit higher. They are open for lunch and dinner.
