Golden Wok

I dined in and the wait was a little long before I got drinks. They brought bendy straws with the drinks which was a cute touch. It would have been a much better idea to have done take out. Where I could have retreated to my home taken off my clothes and enjoyed my Chinese food like an idiot watching 30 Rock on Netflix. I suck soda down like a banshee and the same person that is the waitress is also doing all the other jobs. Maybe they should hire more people. Maybe I’m impatient. Who knows?
I started off with the wonton soup. Which was quite delicious. Although the sesame chicken that I had was a bit tough and hard. I like the shell of my sesame chicken to be softer with a lighter sauce. Overall I give it 3 stars.

Really, really amazing Chinese food. The lunch special is a HUGE portion for the price and comes with free wonton soup! I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY IF YOU EAT HERE.

My personal favorite Chinese place in the area, I’ve been eating there for probably 20 years. The best hot and sour soup I’ve had. Seating is perfect for a small place. The owners are really friendly and the food is always cooked perfectly!

The best little Chinese restaurant in Winter Haven. Friendly family, fast, fresh and clean. Our favorites are the steamed choices (on the back of the menu) and Mei Fun. They also happily modify dishes: our son likes lo mein but not veggies.
