I usually have a good experience here. This time, I get a $ 9 salad consisting of 2 mouthfuls. It was a takeout and I am not in the mood to address this with them.

This was my third time at five points and once again it was awesome. I don’t know how they cook their bread but it’s delish! I had the lobster and avocado salad and it was fantastic! Can’t wait to eat here again soon!

For the first time in this restaurant. Had the lobster roll. It was very good. Portion a bit small if you are hungry in my opinion. Price kind of high but it’s lobster so gotta expect too pay more than for normal burger ;-). Service was great too. Interior nothing special. They kept it classic. Will go back again.

Every part of the meal was delicious. The Parmesan fries with bacon aioli was a wonderful appetizer, and the 6 oz. sirloin with Maytag blue cheese was perfectly cook medium rare. I will certainly come back to try wild mushroom ravioli.

I was working in Winston Salem and a friend kept talking about this place to go have drinks. They should have said go for the food! We had 10 people in our group and we were served quickly, not rushed but server was attentive, interactive and had a great sense of humor especially because I was in one of my moods and having fun. Had a range of food and some local cuisine. Steaks cooked to perfection and the seafood was moist and full of flavor. Had the crab fritters to start with a Cajun cream and topped with fried phyllo. Amazing. It would be dangerous if I lived here. They managed to please all 10 of us

Stopped into Five Points on Wednesday night. It was my first time visiting since this location was Big Shotz and I was impressed by the interior design; contemporary and subdued. Our service start to finish was friendly and professional. After our server notified us that appetizers were half off until 6:30 we started with the Fried Green Tomato stack. The breading on the tomatoes was well-seasoned and the pimento cheese between each tomato was very good. Oh yea, and bacon. I would recommend that appetizer(esp for 50% off). I had the goat cheese salad and a cup of corn and crab chowder. The salad was well-dressed. Just enough dressing to add that balsamic sweet tang and it paired so well with the spiced pecans and cranberries. The goat cheese medallion was an appropriate size for the size of the salad. The soup was just ok. It had plenty of crab and corn but it was missing something to kick it up. We were tempted by German Chocolate Cake Pie. Awesome. All those classic flavors in pie form. Delicious. I look forward to returning to Five Points in the future.

I like Five Points, I think the ambiance is great, but it is a bit over priced, especially for lunch. The warm goat cheese salad is my go to here. It is always so tasty and one of the more affordable options on the menu. The lobster roll is good and similar to what you would find in New England which is what I am always look for. Spinach and artichoke dip another good option. For a small salad and app for lunch it was about $ 18, that is just a bit more than I want to spend. Today(Tuesday) is half price wine day all day so that is a plus, Wednesday is $ 5 signature drinks, and they also do a version of happy hour with half priced apps during a specific time, not sure if that is everyday or not. Our server Laurie was friendly today and we got our food in a timely manner. Five Points is open all day on Sunday so it is a good dinner option when a lot of other spots are closed.

Stopped in for a working/business lunch last week. Convenient location and easy to get in and out of. We were able to walk in at prime lunch time(around 12:30) and be seated in a spacious booth in the bar area right away. Good variety on the lunch menu.(Side note: I was disappointed that Five Points had done away with the Smoked Salmon Bruschetta — I LOVED that appetizer!(sad face)). The food was average. The sirloin on my Grilled Steak Salad was overcooked and under seasoned. I was looking forward to the bacon blue cheese vinaigrette listed on my salad’s menu description, but when the salad arrived, it had blue cheese crumbles throughout and what tasted more like regular balsamic vinaigrette. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but since I like balsamic and blue cheese crumbles, it was more than edible. Save your calories and skip the blue cheese shortbread that comes with the salad. My boss said his fish of the day entrée was just OK. I am a stickler for good service, and I found ours to be a lacking — drinks went un-refilled, waited on clean silverware, actually had to track down our server for the check. From prior experiences at this restaurant, I remember some kind of bread/beignet/basket of delicious carbohydrates… but that never materialized this visit. We requested bread, which was either unavailable of forgotten. Three stars because of the lackadaisical service and just average food. There were a handful of yummy-sounding options on their menu that I would want to try, and would be open to trying the place again.
