Typically the cheapest hotel in Winslow. If you want cheaper than $ 90, you can go on to Holbrook, where low end motels may only cost half as much. Honestly, this place looks really shabby for $ 90 and seems a lot like the $ 30 Motel 6 in Sierra Vista. Nasty, old looking comforters. Everything is scuffed up looking and scratched, etc. No phone in room. Sheets are that weird pink color, instead of white. TV is super old, thick kind. No elevator. Walls and doors are thin and you can hear white trash people talking and watching white trash tv shows. Also hilarious was the owner’s middle school age children are walking around cleaning the place; probably a violation of some kind of labor law.

If you want clean dont stay here!!! The towels and sheets were dirty, and it appeared that someone had slept on one side of sheets already. I told the desk clerk, owner’s teen son, how about using bleach? It was just a dirty mess on towels. These folks do not know now to clean. It is not a priority for them, they think they are saving money but are losing guests! But we were so tiresd after a long drive, it wasnt the worst I ever saw. But definately avoid this one. I paid $ 79 but, he was quoting $ 100 later in the evening for same rooms. Flagstaff was $ 169. Carpets were worn thread bare, never cleaned properly you could tell! Lighting so dim you could not inspect properly either. No sense in going on just avoid.

There was a dog barking much of the night, not on the premises, but annoying nonetheless, and indicative of poor sound-proofing. Carpets were badly worn, sheets were stained, and the deadbolt on our door had been removed. The outside doors did not appear to be secured at night. Half the light bulbs in the bathroom were burnt out, and one of the diffusers was missing. Otherwise the room was adequate, with what appeared to be new mattresses. The room itself was not dirty, and there were no bugs. Breakfast was adequate. Payment problems: I booked using Tripadvisor, but somehow ordered two rooms instead of the one we needed. We called the motel and Tripadvisor, but we were stuck paying for a room we didn’t use. This was bad, but we figured it was just a small error on our part — until I talked to another customer whose reservation had mysteriously not been registered, resulting in her paying an extra $ 20 for her room. It was probably still the cheapest motel in town, but I certainly would have misgivings about staying there again, and would CERTAINLY not stay there if travelling alone. I have pictures, but do not see how to post them.

Pros. Low rate, chinese american restaurant across street, nice owners, limited oversize pull thru truck parking, at least one very clean refurbished room, Accepts CLC, my decked trucks were not stripped or vandalized by morning maybe because of a well lit parking lot. Cons. Abandoned junk vehicles in parking lot, west wing hallway and stairs have not been vacuumed in months, the first room(232) was nasty. Old dirty rug, dirty walls with holes, old dirty bedspreads, when i turned down the sheets, i could tell they had been slept in, i saw hair, dark particles and what looked like potato chips. I immediatly complained and he gave me a much better refurbished room(105). TVs are old school, cont. bf was very skimpy, intermittent wifi.

As you’ve seen from other reviews, you get what you pay for. I had made a reservation from another app on my phone. I stated I would pay at the hotel. I got there rather late. When I got there(the hotel), the first impression was not all that great. It smelled like fish and old tacos. It took the man at the front desk almost 30 minutes to finally hear us banging and ringing the little bell. When he finally got to us, he told me it was«too late to make a reservation.» I stated I made a reservation already and I’m just checking in now. Took him almost 20 minutes to get things right and then another 10 just to get my room key. The room was smelly and the AC was super loud. There was free WiFi but wouldn’t connect. The carpet was also stained. I would probably not recommend staying here. I’d rather spend more money next time I’m in Winslow for a better hotel than finding the cheapest option.

As previously mentioned you get what you pay for at this hotel. We payed about $ 40 for a night here when hotels closer to GCNP were $ 200. The hotel felt reasonably safe, and while it wasn’t clean it wasn’t filthy. For example, I didn’t notice any bugs but the light switch has a lot of stains. Additionally, there were stains on floor, and occasional stain and hair on bedding. Other items of note TV is SD and while the hotel advertised WiFi we couldn’t connect and the front desk wasn’t any help.

Clerk friendly and helpful. Motel room clean and very secure with double windows and locks. Traveling alone that is important. Free continental bfk(not much-rolls and coffee) Free wifi. Bed clean and comfortable. I found it a bit spooky. Close to the painted desert & petrified forest. For the price it is definitely not the worst motel I have stayed in. Probably spooky because it was very quiet there.

Pros: Price Cons: Add to the breakfast… maybe a waffle iron? and liquid creamer would be nice. I picked this hotel due to having the lowest price in the area while traveling northern Arizona. Check in was easy and fast. Hotel is older, CRTTV’s(with cable and HBO), and room/sheets/fridge/bathroom were clean. Non-smoking room smelled clean and smoke-free, hallway did have slight smoke odor though. Breakfast was minimal but it served its purpose(mini donuts, toast, cereal, coffee/juice/milk). Would stay at again if in the area.

Cheapest place in town, BUT remember you get what you pay for. Lowest price but I asked for a non smoking room and it was clear this was once a smoking room. The pillow and bed smelled from smoke and the rest of the room just smelled. I would recommend if you are a non smoker then pay a few dollars more and go to a better hotel. Not worth the price.
