Wow I’m very impressed! I thought this would be a basic sandwich spot but man… they slice their deli meat and cheese on the spot for you! I ordered the pastrami hot sandwich medium(8″). Not only is the meat thin and juicy but wow the bread is super thin and crispy! Very delicious. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Perfect road stop. Quick, parking right in front, lots of people eating, but served immediately and quickly«tapped» a table with my chips guaranteeing a seat after order. I base my 5 stars on expectations for the situation. Is this a boutique New York deli? Nope… But only an idiot would expect that in Winnemucca. This hit all marks — ordered a number 1, perfect amount of toppings, perfect pace making sandwich, and rapid check out with chips, drink and cookie. Waaayyyy better than Subway! Why? White bread super soft, bread is wider, ingredients tasted less«franchise»(although it probably is a franchise), and all the flavors/textures hit the mark! You can order 5″, 8″, 12″ or 24″… 8″ was fine with a nice diagonal cut across the top to split the sandwich in half to make it manageable and also give the option to wrap and eat more on the road. I did not exercise my option to wrap — sandwich was too yummy. In and out super quick, clean single stall bathroom, friendly service and back on the road refreshed and full in 15 minutes. Perfect quick turn.

Decent subs — but nothing too special. We stopped on our way through Winnemuca and it was fairly close to the freeway, not too busy, and the restrooms were clean. My Italian sub was much better than my husbands meatball sub which actually had good flavor but completely fell apart and he had to eat with a fork and knife. Staff was fairly friendly but rushed us through and there was no one else at the store. I recommend it for a quickie lunch but if you are looking for amazing this probably isn’t it.

We had a great Tuna salad-best ever. –It looks like a so-so place –But the food and service were great. I usually do not write a review –But they deserve a great report

Not all Port of Subs are created equal. I have had some great sandwiches and some terrible sandwiches at the hands of your local Port of Subs. Many times you will find that the franchises shave the meat too thin. Many times you will find a business that just doesn’t know how to build a Port of Subs style sandwich. This time wasn’t one of those times. I had just a few minutes to stop in and grab a sandwich on my way to Elko. Usually I have to babysit my sandwich the whole way through just to make sure it’s up to snuff. The meat was sliced ok this time. But when it came to putting on the condiments this girl knew what she was doing. Especially when it comes to the vinegar and oil part. The right amount of vinegar. Seriously I think that they just stopped training people how to make sandwiches long ago. But this girl just knew how to do the number one right. As another reviewer had commented… I’ve been wanting a Port of Subs in Winnemucca for when I am here for work. Now I have one!

Okay, I am not a Port of Subs expert, so I can’t speak on the Reno happenings of POS. I haven’t ate a sandwich here, but Cory gets them almost daily. And I haven’t heard anyone diss on them as far as word of mouth. They are clean and friendly. Everyone I was with was more than happy with their sandwiches, in fact, they all stated they don’t go to subway anymore since POS is now here. The cheesy broccoli soup was a little weak, but I know its just a pre-fab kit that is heated up in boiling water, I can’t complain too much. They seem to do pretty well considering we have 4 sub sandwich fast food places, 3 of which are Subway’s. Then you have Raley’s deli with can make a good sammie too. Nice to have something different in town from Scubway.

Nice friendly staff but there wasn’t enough meat on the sandwich to meet the port of subs standard. It was half the amount it should have been.
