A true gem in the heart of historic Windsor and a REAL hardware store that is worth making a trip to. Although I grew up in Windsor and have always had a cordial respect for the establishment that has existed for most of the town’s existence, once I reached adulthood I automatically began going to Ace for all my hardware needs. After countless visits to Ace that left me tired, frustrated and running late on my ever hectic schedule, I decided to give Manweiler’s a try and I will shop no where else from now on. The staff(family members of the original owners who have been in the hardware business forever) are friendly and know their trade like the back of their hand. Upon explaining your needs or projects, they always know exactly what you need and will tell you precisely where it is to be found or show you if they are not too busy. The prices are a real blast from the past and I’ve never seen such low prices for such good quality anywhere else. The store has also been in that same location for 60+ years so in addition to all the newest items you need, you can also find older and hard to find hardware. I will also add that after having countless keys made at other hardware stores that are so poorly made they are either extremely difficult to use or completely nonfunctional, Manweiler’s is yet another breath of fresh air. I now have Janice make all my keys and they are always perfect and identical to the original, not to mention only .99 a piece! Last but not least, the shop has a retro, quirky and small town feel that will make your visit as enjoyable as it is convenient. Check out the huge coy pond near the registers that sits on a platform covered in 4″ avocado green shag carpet that has been there since I was a child! As a very busy man who runs a business that consumes most of my life(and a LOT of hardware store goods) but tries to have some free time to be a good husband, son and friend, Manweiler’s is a lifesaver! Do yourself a favor and give them a try for all your hardware, key and appliance needs. Not only will you be making your life easier but you will be supporting a small business, part of Colorado history and the lovely family that keeps this establishment open!

A cute little hardware store situated in downtown Windsor! They have a good selection of merchandise and everyone seems friendly. I am a bit confused though… it looks like they sell a combination of used and new merchandise all together. Best example: Scratched up red tool box sitting beside packaged items. Similar scenarios throughout the store.
