Asia 2000 Chinese Restaurant

The food was horrible. The teriyake beef was grisly and fatty, not to mention rubbery. The hot sour soup was cold and tasted so watered down no flavor at all. The fried rice tasted like it was old, leftover, warmed up rice at best. They delivered without utensils, which made it very hard to eat since we are staying in a hotel without a restaurant in it. Then, when I called to speak to manager, they hung up on me. Bad, bad, bad. Asia 2000 owes me a full refund AND an apology.

Decent Chinese and inexpensive, good for a quick takeout meal. They also deliver which is nice when you don’t want to drive to that side of town, only Chinese restaurant in the area that delivers.

Never ate here but they gave me a good price on take out containers! (wanted some for a party that I was throwing so everyone could bring home leftovers)

Would give negative stars if at all possible! Horrible horrible experience. Found Unilocal review and decided to give them fair chance… Literally didn’t get paste the order taking on my delivery.
I live in east Hartford. On the bordering town of where the restaurant is… I called for delivery and the woman barely spoke English. Problem one quickly rolled into problem two… I had to repeat my address 6 effing times… Yes I counted. And I’m not gunna post my address but let’s just say its a reallllly short and easy street…
Finally after getting over the grueling phase of giving her my order AND the address ordeal she then put me on hold… And came back to say «sorry we no deliver east hatfod»… I quickly came back with «you are only EIGHT MINUTES away»!! (I knew this since Unilocal has a wonderful effing thing called «get directions»). She didn’t understand anything I just said. I repeated it another four times so she placed me on hold then came back and said «your two far you must order $ 40 for delivery» WHAT THE $!@&??? I guess my 25 wasn’t good enough for an 8 minute drive… I then proceeded to explain how I’m eight minutes away even gave her the directions… DRIVE STRAIGHT TAKE A RIGHT! And this dumb pos says «sorry u over half hour way no deliver you come here»
Place sucks

This place and the Jumbo Buffet in Bloomfield are the only Chinese food delivery options in the area. Both places have great food but this place will get to your house three times faster. If you don’t feel like driving, Asia 2000 is the best option for Chinese food.

5 stars for what it is.
As good as it gets, for a basic primarily, takeout and delivery Chinese restaurant.
I had avoided this place because of the reviews — or lack of same. Also thought that the reviews appeared to be old.
With very low expectations, ordered for delivery, they said 30 minutes, well that was a lie. On that day and every subsequent order, time has been around 10 MINUTES!!!
Food: good basic Chinese American.
Everything cooked well.
Combo plate menu is one price for lunch or dinner. That is not the usual.
Egg rolls are excellent with vegetable filling, no mystery meat, yay! And crisp as well.
Fried rice also excellent, with a nice char flavor.
My friend had sweet and sour chicken, and the sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted! I’ve had sauce that that was on par with NyQuil.
I challenged them to mod a standard combo, they did it perfectly — and continue to do so.

OK, I have to write a review because this is our go-​to Chinese food place, and it is for our friends, too. Their pork fried rice is delicious, as is their crab rangoon, teriyaki chicken, and BBQ pork ribs. I loooooove their general tso’s chicken, so good.
BTW, I’m also from California and I like their food.

Ok… i wrote a review previously… 2 stars for food and 1 star for quick delivery — so a 3 star rating. The 2 stars for food was because it was bad, and didnt make me sick, SO i am correcting this… i have had stomach pains for 2 days now since eating their food. I thought maybe it wasnt related, but then i ate the leftovers and my stomach hurt in the same fashion. So let me make it clear… Do not risk your stomach at Asia 2000.

I don’t know if this is good ‘Chinese’ food by Connecticut standards, but my Californian taste buds tell me that’s some bad grub. Beef-​brocolli is terrible, both tasteless and way overly slathered in some gross sauce. One star for entertainment though; three generations (grandparents, parents and children) yelled at each other the whole time. It sounded like an intense kung-​fu/​tai-​chi battle.
