My colleagues like to come here sometimes for quick lunches. We’ve had both very positive and less positive orders. The mozzarella sticks are scrumptious and easy to share. I opted for their wings most recently, and I was really surprised by how juicy they were. They were a bit too doused in sauce, but the flavor was there. On the opposite side, my colleague’s latest grinder did not have cooked peppers or onions, which was odd and inconsistent. I wish you could get more interesting pizza by the slice. Nothing gourmet here but relaxed and low maintenance.

Built my own pizza had it delivered to my hotel room based on the reviews I saw here. Now with that being said I thought I would’ve had a stellar work of art … When I received it I was quite disappointed. The meats weren’t nearly as big as I’d hope for a large pizza… it looked like how the burgers look on a McDonald’s commercial compared to the what you actually receive

Stopped here for some slices while I was at the airport. This is fast food pizza, dont expect gourmet. It was good. I liked that they served slices, friendly staff and really big place. No complaints

We live in town so we eat here a lot. I would stay away from the pasta its tastes like frozen that had been microwaved & Im not a fan of the pizza sauce although, my husband is. Great burgers, and subs, etc. But, I still can’t get over why I can get in my car and go pick up a kids meal with our order, but they just can’t put one in their car & bring it to me. Doesn’t make sense for a family place…

New York style thin crust pizza is what they serve which is my personal favorite. This town is loaded with pizza places but papa ginos is the place to go when you just have to have the best. They deliver to my house and it takes about an hour.

Same consistent pizza every time. We live in town so delivery is a huge plus when we don’t want to go out. As far as people complaining about the single slices, it is what it is. A restaurant can’t make a new pizza every five minutes. If you get a bad slice, you should’ve gone while it was busier and they were churning out pies.

Been going here for years. Pizza is good by the slice, salads and other sides are nothing to write home about. The service is terrible. If someone orders a slice of pizza just hand it to them, having to stand around for 5 – 10 minutes for a slice of pizza is absurd. The service has gone down hill, I’ve stopped going and will check back in in the future.
Best and only pizza I’ve ever liked. I’ve traveled all over. Nothing compares to fresh Papa Gino’s!

Door says they’re open until 11 pm. Walked in at 10:35 and asked girl at cash register if we could get a table. Nope. Too late.(Some people were still seated, but whatever.) Ok, I ask her if we can at least still order a pizza to go. She has to ask someone behind her if that’s even ok. Yes, she finally says, as if she’s doing me a favor. I have no idea what their pizza is like because we decided there were plenty of places to go where they actually want your business. Imagine that! See ya!

Had no idea that pizza was so popular all over New England. Being from California and living in Texas(yes it’s true, pizza in Texas sucks!), I learned of this in Cape Cod, Boston, etc. Had always thought the good pizza is only from NYC and Chicago. Yeah, dumb. For a fast food take out this slice was excellent and fresh. Friendly staff. Surprised that they gave me an entire cardboard box for one slice of pizza as that seems wasteful. A paper plate would have been fine.

Really not impressed. Feels like the fast-good equivalent of pizza. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza that was cooked in their oven. The service was quick which was nice. Maybe next time I’ll visit a place that doesn’t sacrifice quality for speed.

Surprisingly good steak and cheese. Nothing fancy but the sandwich hit the spot. Self serve chips and drinks so if you are looking to be waited on this is not your place.

The food here is not bad… typical chain food that does the job when you are hungry or are craving a quick slice of pizza. The main fault is that the last few times I’ve gone in for a take out slice or two is that the service is soooooooooo freakin’ slooooooow!!! I stopped in yesterday, the young girl at the register quickly took my order… two slices of pepperoni pizza to go… and 25 minutes later I was served. I can understand that pizza takes time, but the place was not busy, there were like 4 people in the kitchen chatting away with each other, and only after 20 minutes did I see them pull two slices of pizza off an already made pie, heat them in the oven, and then call«order up». Unfortunately the last few times I’ve been there such was the same. Please manager… tell your crew to stop gabbing and goofing off with each other and pay attention to what they are being paid to do!

I’m staying at the Sheraton and the free courtesy shuttle took us to Papa Gino’s. for $ 15 me and the boys got a large pizza and a 2 litter soda. The staff are friendly and courteous. We did show up at 2:30pm on a Saturday so the place was not busy. Authentic pizza. So if you don’t want to pay $ 25 for a pizza pie at the hotel, jump on the free 5 minute shuttle to Gino’s.

this might be the only papa gino’s in northern CT. never very busy but year in and year out its still around like an old friend. they issue enough coupons and frequent dining prizes to keep their loyal fans like me happy. today for lunch my buddy and I each had the spaghetti and meat balls special. comes with 2 strips of garlic toast and a soda. For $ 6.99.you can’t beat it! we each had a pepperoni pizza slice for $ 1.19 extra and waddled out of the place very full and happy. Its not gourmet food for sure… but its tasty and more than decent. During lunchtime. if you don’t get your specials within 5 minutes… i think its free. have had their pizza’s many times. and while they don’t overload you with ingredients… what you do get is above average. wish the help would smile a little bit more.

A typical Papa GInos, they make a great X-tra Cheese Pizza! There are so few of these left in the area, whenever we are on 91 up this way, we will usually swing by and get a pie to take home. We usually get the extra cheese, as the pepperoni they use is super greasy. I have never been a fan of other toppings on their pies. For some reason, their special blend of cheeses has always been one of my faves since I was a kid. The local one in MA near where I grew up had a big role in my teenage years, from going their with my cheering squad, to having dates there, to going with girlfriends after being out and up to no good… LOL, so it’s a lot of nostalgia and memories for me! If i had never been to a Papa’s and was just going in off the street, I would probably rate it 2 stars, but because it evokes that whole reminiscing thing, and because this particular location makes the best of the CT Papa’s I’ve been to, that why I am giving it 4 stars. Honestly, there are definitely better pizzas to be had(ie…see my Rossini’s review in Cheshire CT from the other day… now THAT is real pizza)…but Papas does hit the spot from time to time!
