Has gone down hill from the last time we stayed. The night clerk was very slow to respond and all the vending machines haven’t been working. The bathroom door was coming apart and the place hasn’t been updated for what I could see at anytime. I wouldn’t stay there even if I had to drive an hour out of town.

Not the Marriott, but given the limited selection of places to stay in the area this will do for anyone. The breakfast is very basic, just like the rooms. The key is the area is clean — the rooms are clean and staff polite.

Stayed here for the weekend of homecoming at UGA. This place is about a 20 – 25 minute drive from Athens, assuming no traffic. It is significantly cheaper than anything else you might find on a gameday weekend, plus they have free breakfast. As far as location, it is conveniently located next to several restaurants, and a pharmacy, so anything you need is pretty close at hand. But the perks end there. While the room was clean, the place is rundown and in need of some updates/repairs. The internet is free, but slow and unreliable, and the television channels are seemingly random. You can’t get all the local channels. So basically, there isn’t much to do if stuck in your hotel room. Also, its not quiet. Trains come by on a regular basis and are disruptive. Overall, it makes for a cheap place for the college student/recent graduate on a budget. But don’t expect much.
