The Bamboo Garden

Having recently moved here from a place that had a plethora of Chinese and other Asian food restaurants, I was in desperate search of a decent place for takeout. This place is by far the BEST in the city! The people are also extremely friendly and the service is fast. The food comes out fast and even my friend was impressed (and she is an extremely picky eater). They make their own potstickers from scratch! That is almost unheard of. If you are in the mood for authentic Chinese/​Taiwanese cuisine where the price is amazing then definitely come here! I HIGHLY recommend. This is my new go to spot. I highly recommend the following dishes:
–postickers
–singapore noodles
–house fried rice
–hot & sour soup
DELICIOUS! If you come here you won’t be sorry.

Horrible experience. We reached there for dinner at 9 got seated at 9:30 and dinner was served at 10:40. Food was so spicy that kids couldn’t even eat. On top of that they messed up my order. I had to getup to get my water.
If you are looking for relaxing evening this place is not the place where you want to spend your evening. I am never going back in.

Worse customer service possible!!! If you want to wait 2 hrs for your meal then order from this restaurant! Owner didn’t even offer to give me a credit or anything. He kept saying my food is good, basically take it or leave it. Order at your own risk!!!

We visited the restaurant, but didn’t order and won’t be back. We stopped in yesterday to eat lunch. When we walked up to the counter my wife asked a simple question about an item on the menu and the guy responded with just «I don’t know» and nothing more and just stared at us. After an awkward pause, we decided to leave and go to a place where we would feel welcome and not be greeted by rudeness. The food may be good, but we’ll never know.

The quality of service seems to be going down the hill in this place (orders by delivery). The last 4 or 5 times we have ordered from Bamboo Garden the order is messed up. I ask for fried rice, they send white. Asked for sweet and sour chicken, they forget the sauce…
Today I asked for General Tso Chicken with fried rice and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice as well. …they did not send the second order of rice. Food is tasty, but if you’re lucky, you may get to eat your full meal. Sadly, I had it with Bamboo Garden.

Had lunch at Bamboo Garden today. I usually get the Hunan Beef, which is excellent, but went crazy today and had General Tso’s chicken. It was good but the cook went a little heavy on the garlic. Everybody has an off day once in awhile.
Been going here for years even tho I live two blocks from another Chinese place, this one is better.

The best takeout Chinese food around. They do have sit in seating if you’d rather eat there too. I got so much food for the price and everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband can’t tolerate MSG and I was very happy to hear of this place and that they did not use any. I love vegetables and was very happy with the portion amount as well. Definitely will be going back again and again!

The chef was talking on his cell phone the whole entire time. The fried rice needed something… it tasted like nothing… the lady who took my entire order was extremely nice, the boneless spare ribs were too salty to eat, the sweet and sour chicken was cooked all the way but the dough around it was slimy inside… lunch prices are cheap but they give less portions than other chinese lunch specials. the place was nice and clean

Bamboo Garden has become our go to Chinese restaurant in Winchester. Their service is fast and the food is consistently good. We have eaten in as well as had carry out and delivery. All around Bamboo Garden is a great Chinese restaurant worth trying.

Consistently the best Chinese available in Winchester. Variety of dishes from all parts of China, and the owner and staff are very knowledgeable and willing to experiment if you ask.
Highlights of recent meals: superb Mongolian beef, a great set of vegetable dishes, Hunan chicken (yum!) and egg rolls are to die for. You can easily make a meal of two egg rolls and a small fried rice.
Service is prompt and fast — I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 5 minutes for food.
One down side: limited seating. Not good for large groups as they have only 4 tables total. Fortunately, take out is no hassle at all, so not a big deal overall.
