I’ve working in Winchester for 7 years, and this is one of the few places to eat in town. The restaurant recently changed owners and with that has come a new menu. The food is now much improved. I loved the pizza here and it’s largely stayed the same. The sandwiches and salads have vastly improved though. The shop is cleaner, brighter, and more inviting, while not having changed too much. The falafel is bomb too.

I stopped in this place because I had some stuff to do in the center. The restaurant was clean and looks like a regular pizza joint. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza but really wanted the meat slice they had on display. I just needed a quick bit to get me to dinner. The pizza was so good! I actually ate the pizza in my car while driving and turned around a mile away to get the slice of the meat pizza I wanted because the cheese was so good. Great pizza and the guy behind the counter was cool, I’ll definitely swing by again.

Big Surprise — Big Improvement: Stopped to eat at Pizza Express. Wow!!! New Owners and Menu have dramatically improved with up-to-date Pizza, sandwich, dinners and salad choices. Have already returned several times. Friendly staff. Nice, now bright atmosphere and vibe!!! Forgot to mention the new owner is a well seasoned Chef.

Stopped in for lunch the other day while in Winchester. Ordered a couple slices of pizza… Wish I ordered a whole pie! It was great pizza, the thin crust kind I like, cheese and sauce was perfect, not that sweet Greek greasy style that seems to be common place around here– it was the good NY Italian style– It’s so hard to find that type of pizza in the area– I’m so glad I found this place!

Pizza Express — what happened to you? Your Margherita pizza I haven’t had in 3 years. It was my favorite. White with tomato slices and fresh basil. Last night when I ordered it, you told me it would be 30 minutes. I arrived 35 minutes later and had to wait another FIFTEEN minutes – oops! Then, upon opening the box, I try to chew on a rock-hard crust. Cardboard on the bottom, solid on the edges. To top it off, as my daughter put it, «totally flavorless». Mushy tomatoes, barely any basil – now chopped. Before, nearly whole and beautiful. What happened to you? The other pizza we ordered, plain cheese, wasn’t bad. Not great, just not bad. That’s why you get 1 star, otherwise I’d look for 0 stars. This pizza is NOT the best in Winchester. It is the WORST. Plus, $ 28 for these 2 larges? Never again.

I have been going to Pizza Express for a while now. It’s a great place, good food, friendly staff, etc. This place has really improved over the years. I also got a chance to talk to the new owner of the place, really nice guy. He’s looking to upgrade this place so I definetly recommend, if you’re in the area, to check it out.

I think this place could reduce their prices, they have some great staff very helpful and timely I was able to be in and out within 5 mins. I wish I would have taken the cashier suggestion to heat the pizza up but that still does not explain my three. I gave Pizza Express II down side in menu selection they could do so much more. Failure to thrive is my reason. Great slice nice and big, also BLT was delicious surprisingly my boss told me.

I ordered stuffed shells and french fries to share with my cousin. The portions were small for what we got, and it wasn’t enough to share between the two of us. The food was okay, but the delivery driver was kind of rude and I didn’t exactly appreciate his attitude. Besides that, I don’t think I’d order from here again. The portions are small for what I’ve paid for, and the sauce was kind of salty.

I would have given three stars, if not for the attitude on the phone(staff sounds like they want to die) and the fact that they packed two slices of pizza on top of one another so that the bottom one became inedible. Prices are low though, so there’s that at least…

We received their delivery menu in our mailbox and decided to give it a try. We ordered a half tray of sicilian pizza and some teriyaki wings. We thought with«pizza» in the title it had to be atleast«good». They sent the driver to the wrong address and we had to wait an excess amount of time. We expected a cold pizza but by the looks of the pizza you would have thought the driver to be bombed over speed bumps and jerked the car from side to side. Needless to say, the cheese was completely off the pizza and the cardboard box was soaked. Also, a very unnecessary amount of cheese and a very generic sauce. Oh, and it was undercooked. We will no longer be ordering from Pizza Express II.

December 2, 2011 Dear Pizza Express 2, Today I when I called in my order, I was told that there would be a $ 1.50 charge to use my credit card over the phone. Meh. We take the kids here when we need a quick lunch on the way home. That’s it. Take my advice, there is no other reason to go here. I want this place to be good, I really do. A small, local, simple pizza and sub place… every town should have that. Winchester does not. Instead we have a borderline dirty hole-in-the-wall with a cold staff and suspect pizza(at best). The subs aren’t terrible, but given a choice between those and Dags three blocks away… dags. But toddlers(and, apparently middle school kids) don’t care what their pizza tastes like. And, the milk is cold. One extra star for cold milk.

This is a family favorite in town. We have eaten here numerous times and the turkey delight is an awesome sandwich for quick food. Genuine boar’s head and the best bread with fresh veggies! The pizza is pretty good, the kids really enjoy it and the fries are always crisp and not loaded with salt.

I’ve been living in Winchester for about 8 months now and am still hard pressed to find any decent food in the immediate area aside from D’Agostino’s and Lucia’s. Pizza Express sadly falls into the«major fail» category for me. My boyfriend and I had returned home from a day long family event this past Saturday night and were exhausted. We decided to just order a couple sangwiches from D’Agostino’s and take it easy for the night. Unfortunately for us, when my boyfriend showed up at D’Agostino’s he was told they were out of sub rolls(I don’t get it but whatever) so we decided to go home and see what we could get for delivery. We had gone to Pizza Express shortly after we moved in for pizza and were really disappointed in the greasy mess that we received. That was about 8 months ago and we were ordering subs this time around so we decided to give it a shot. I ordered a Chicken Salad sandwich with american cheese and my boyfriend ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich. We were told it would be about half an hour. Our doorbell rang about 10 minutes later(we live very close) so we were pleasantly surprised with the speed of the service. Unfortunately the pleasantness stopped there. Even more unfortunately the surprises did not. When I first opened up my sandwich I honestly asked my boyfriend«Did they seriously forget the chicken salad???». I had to look at the sandwich from the side to notice that there was a very very VERY thin layer hiding underneath a piece of cheese. I lifted up the cheese and found a bright white paste. Not a single chunk of chicken was to be found. They must have blended the chicken, mayo and maybe cornstarch for thickness(?) in the blender as there was literally no texture. It was also so thick that it tore the cheese in half when I was trying to check underneath. The flavor was horrifying. I ate less than half and had mouth sweats just thinking about it the rest of the night. My boyfriend’s chicken cutlet sandwich was similar in the fact that there was one tiny thin cutlet hidden underneath about 2 cups of lettuce. It was overly greasy and flavorless and he also ate only about half the sandwich. I’ve given this place two shots but will absolutely never go back there again for, well, anything. Especially considering the amount of food we got was probably worth about $ 3 total and we paid $ 18 including tip. Pathetic. Next time I will just ask D’Agostino’s for the sandwich fillers and fork.

My sister tends to order from this place when they get pizza. It’s good! It’s your thicker-crusted pizzas here. But solid! Pizzas with toppings have a lot of them on there — they don’t skimp on that. Plain pizza is fine too — that’s how I judge a pizza place. Lotta cheese, lotta sauce, cooked dough. Whaddya want!?!

Pizza is meh. It will do in a pinch, but not a huge fan of it. I LOVE the Grilled Chicken Deluxe sub extra cheese add bacon NO mayo. Delicious! Their steak and cheese is really good too. The only disappointment is the size of the subs, not large enough and they only offer one size. Fries are good. Chicken parm and raviolis are favorites of my husband’s. Again my only complaint is the portion size, not quite enough. Prices are fair. Employees are very pleasant.

On a day where I got to hang with my boyfriend all day and basically veg, we ordered from this place 2x and had it delivered. Lunch I got a small steak Mafia pizza and small fry. My boyfriend had stuffed shells and boneless buffalo tenders. The food was delivered fast and the food arrived still warm. The fries were FANTASTIC! perfect combo of crispy and chewy! YUMM! ANd the small was actually a really nice portion. The streak pizza was good but the crust was a little flat. Boyfriend LOVED the boneless buffalo tenders and liked the shells as well. Dinner we shared a sampler… all of which was good but could have stood to have more in it. Also… failure to include napkins and ketchup. We both did a salad, both were tastey. When you order a salad apparently they wrap your flatware with a pita… a nice touch.

Awesome pizza at a great deal. Huge pizza slices! I had bacon and chicken pizza slice. Was delicious! I also had a huge Reuben sandwich, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I got the Reuben Sandwich, 3 Muskateers, and Diet Stewarts Root beer for only $ 11 – 12. Not a bad bargain. They deliver as well locally. They have personal size pizzas, grinders, and more. Menu is on Menu lizard. — check the web link above. Plenty of seating and even a bar type seating by the window. Great corporate lunch restaurant. Great family pizza shop. Creidt Cards accepted.
