Do not use this company. They are irresponsible and don't come when they say they will. They lie and don't return phone calls. They DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

Just had fence installed by Kidwell Fencing. Purchased fence from Lowes and Kidwell installed it. Excellent installation. Very professional and customer focused!

One of their (obviously drunk) employees backed into my car last summer in the company vehicle and after being told up and down that it would be fixed, Kidwell and Co. TO THIS DAY refuse to pay for the damages to my car citing that I’ve «jacked the estimate up» and «extortion». I don’t want millions or even thousands of dollars out of the company I JUST WANT MY GODDAMNED CAR FIXED and maybe a little accountability for their shit employees. I would NEVER go to this outfit of neanderthals for ANY home improvement work. Caveat emptor… these people are retards.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! Or, have a lawyer on board when they screw you over!
They totally ruined my sun room and refuse to make it right. They built the whole room and Installed 2 sky lights incorrectly. They were the type of sky lights that do not require nailing down the flashing and they nailed them down so after time they leaked down the walls and ruined the interior windows as well as the French door. My insurance company would not pay because they were installed faulty. Also, when they put the guttering on they neglected to extend it all the way across to the drain pipe and water just rain down the corner of the wall. You could put your hand through the roof. Joe Kidwell agreed to make it right, but as of today, still waiting. Hasn’t even acknowledged my correspondence. I am writing to The Commonwealth of Virginia, Board of Contractors as well as the Better Business Bureau. I hope my $ 5,000 repair costs them a lot more in loss of business. BE CAREFUL!

We used Kidwell Fencing to put up our fence last year. This went well and we were happy with the result. Therefore, when it came time to have a patio poured we used them as well. They poured a stamped concrete patio for us in July of 2014. It was great and we experienced no immediate problems. However, in March after the winter was over we noticed that the color that was put on the concrete had begun to peel off. We contacted them in March 2014 to look at this. They agreed that there was a problem and they would fix it. As of today, 3 months later, they have still not fixed the problem We have contacted them weekly since the initial complaint in March. Every week it is the same answer; they know it is a problem and they are working on getting a concrete guy to fix it. We have waited long enough for them to fix it yet they don’t seem to be doing anything to make it happen. Don’t use them for concrete work. They don’t stand behind their work.

Simply put — never again — I hired and paid in full for poor service and a casual approach to the work of a picket fence around the front yard of my home in Winchester Va — there are exactly 30 6X6 posts that needed to be installed to define the border of my property and only TWO where installed (the first time out) in the correct location — all now concreted in place, had to be lifted — removed and returned — simply, the project manger, did not provide a layout of the fence before they arrived for work that day and THEY decided (on their own) to roll out where they ‘thought; things should go — once they returned to remove the posts — I completed the layout, they’d been paid to complete and then I trepidly released them to proceed with the 2^nd installation — the field teams left my place a wreck everyday and I was bum-​rushed for my payment…
simply — never again — I do not (respectfully) recommend this company for any fencing need

I contracted Kidwell through The Home Depot to build a deck on the back of my townhouse. I had a few different contractors come out and quote me, however Kidwell had the best price for the work being done. Working with Carl, the sales rep, was a breeze. He was very knowledgeable in terms of design and style along with have a great deal of experience in building codes and recommendations based on County guidelines.
I was very pleased with the timelines as well. Both the upper and lower decks were built and painted well within the timeline we had agreed upon.
I have no problem recommending Kidwell and would gladly use them again.
