Invisible Fence Brand Of Apple

The road was so close to our yard and we were so worried that our puppy might get hit by a car! Our neighborhood covenants would not allow us to fence our yard with traditional fencing. We called IF of Apple Country, we got wonderful service quickly, and it worked on our 6 month standard poodle in about a week.
They offer on the premises training, repeat lessons and can put that boundary exactly where you need it. No obstacle was too difficult, even water area! Now we have an area we can run, play ball and chase the grandchildren without the danger of ending up on the road under a car or twisted up chasing a passing bicyclist.
Great people to work with and a super way to keep you adored pet safe! Plus the batteries, to keep your collar working, arrive just when you need to replace them!

I am pretty dumbfounded at this point. I had no idea that I would not be able to adjust the settings on this $ 400.00 collar that I bought (price included some flags and 10 minutes with my dog on a leash who already was familiar with the concept). My dog no longer needs it, but we have friends coming up this weekend. These friends also have a invisible fence just not this brand, so their dog is also familiar with the concept. After I was unable to find out via the instructions how to adjust the strength, I called the company. Apparently the only way this can be accomplished is to drive 30 miles to Winchester to have this done. I REALLY wish I was told this before I invested in the collar for the system that was already installed in our house. Bad form guys, bad form. For $ 400.00 I should have complete control over my system without needed to bring my device to your office. There is a fine line between proprietary and extortion. Unbelievable.

Absolutely hard to work with. Had multiple appts. Where the person we had an appt with did not show up or call. The whole installation process took over a week when it was told it would take one day. The business was extremely inconsiderate of us. They also did not address anything having to deal with payment until we brought it up… Lack of management.

First and foremost let me say the product itself is great. This review is about Apple county itself. When Smoot (the original owner) was running the day to day business things were much different. Now it’s all about trying to up-​sale. I took my dog collar, which was covered by a life time warranty, in because it needed to be turned up. The young man working said it was broke and he couldn’t replace it because I didn’t have a invisible fence battery (which I did). He then told me he could sell me the new collar at a discounted rate if I gave them my old collar. I told him I’d think about it. I returned later and had the collar checked by another staff member and she told me the collar was fine. I asked her to ensure it was a powerful as it could be because me dog was leaving the yard. She assured me it was turned all the way up and that if it didn’t work she could always sell me the new collar. Long story short, the collar was at it’s lowest setting, not at it’s highest as she said. When I had the collar properly adjusted my dog doesn’t leave the yard (and I don’t need to buy a new, more expensive, collar!) Great product, by a less than desirable dealer.
