My go to(as in what I order every single time) is the ribeye sandwich and the banana pepper rings because they were what had been recommended to me, and I have enjoyed them each time. The steak has a nice char to it that puts it over the top, and the banana peppers are addictive. After looking at some of the photos on here I might need to start switching it up so I try more things. The servers are always very nice.

I came here based on reviews and a friends recommendation. I really wanted to like this place based off just those two factors. But i can’t, the service was slow. I walked in to a practically empty restaurant, not greeted, and no waitress for at least 5 minutes.(Yes I looked at my watch, as I’ve never had to wait so long in an empty place) Then they had delivery of their drinks and other supplies, the wait staff was way more welcoming to them then to their customers. The cheese fries were gross, I felt like I was eating elementary cafeteria food. Fries were clearly from the freezer and the cheese wasn’t even gooey, the wait it took for my fries i was expecting them to be extra hot but instead I got mildly warm fries, probably from the microwave. I asked for extra crispy and I got extra soft, which means they didn’t fry them longer. The sandwich was probably the best thing I had, even though it wasn’t warm enough and the bun was smothered in butter. Overall, I’ll never return here. And I’m going to avoid bar restaurants altogether for a while. This place just turns my stomach. It’s an old mom and pop type without the mom and pop love. It’s like a sad lonely place, maybe it’s better for the 2−7pm happy hour where you drink to the point of not caring what the food tasted like. But to someone that came in Hangry, I left sangry, sadly angry with a slight stomach ache. Probably all the greasy intake. Regardless, come at your own Discretion, better yet come for the happy hour. Bottled drinks shouldn’t be something that can be ruined. Oh and I rarely give 1 star reviews, so this says a lot coming from me…

We selected this place because of the reviews raving about their steaks. Frankly, I was underwhelmed. My 16 ounce ribeye had an area of fat the size of a beer coaster. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she merely said that a ribeye was a fattier piece of meat. Yeah, I know. A ribeye will have more marbling, but selling a customer a «steak» that is only 70 percent meat is not the way to get repeat business. Made me wish I had just gone to Outback, where the server probably would have taken my comment seriously. The onion rings were hot. The salads tasted fresh but we’re likely pre-made. The steak was a disappointment. My two star review shouldn’t be taken as an overall bad rating for the price. But describing this as a place for«the best steak in town» is going too far.

This is our favorite stop after hiking in the Red River Gorge. A good steak hits the spot after hiking a few miles. If you like good food at a fair price with friendly service then this is the place. We had fried banana peppers for an appetizer. They were served fast but we prefer fresh peppers and not the pickled. My wife and I both ordered the sirloin steak with baked potato and salad. The steaks were great, cooked medium well as requested. We washed it down with a couple draft beers. As always the staff were attentive and friendly. All of this — -plus a kid’s chicken tender meal — for less than $ 50. Looking forward to the next hiking outing.

Best steak and cheese cubes anywhere! Don’t waste your time driving to Lexington and paying double for a subpar steak. Also they grill the steaks outside year round. Service is always good food is always fresh and awesome beer cheese! Always seasonal Sam Adams on tap. I highly recommend eating here when looking for great food and service in Winchester!

Outstanding dinner with the family tonight. We had chef salad, Philly cheesesteak, BLT, appetizers, grilled cheese, fish dinner & ribeye sandwich; everything was great. Best ribeye sandwich I’ve ever had anywhere. Definitely a local favorite & I can taste why!

By far the best steaks in town. Wait staff is very friendly but actual quality and speed of service will vary by server. Very limited side options and one of the worst salads I have ever had. But this place still gets 5 stars because that steak is to die for!

Went there last evening for dinner. I ordered the NY strip steak and my wife ordered the pork tenderloin. She enjoyed the tenderloin dinner, said the meat was cooked perfect and melted in her mouth. The steak that I ordered was cooked to order and the parts I could eat were very good. That steak had so much grissell in it that it was very tough to chew. I ended up cutting it and that fat off of it and ended up with about half of the steak that was edible. I told the gentleman at the cashier counter know about it when asked how the meal was and he stated that they have had a few other complaints about that particular cut. Seems if you were told about it you would have checked them or contacted Sysco, where they get them about the issues. The service was good and the food was good, other than the steak I ordered. We will go back again but won’t order the NY strip steak.

Good bar food. The steaks are prepared out back on a grill and the charcoal grill give the steaks a great flavor. the burgers could be a bit bigger, but again the grill is just the right touch for flavor. They need a greater variety of sides to get a five star rating, but this is still one of the best places in Winchester to eat and the best for a cold beer a steak.

This was like finding a diamond in the rough. They had great food and good atmosphere. I started out with Cheese Fries and Beer Cheese. Then had their ribs with mac n cheese and a couple of nice cold beers to wash it down with. I would highly recommend anyone to stop in and eat here. Great food and great service with local flair. I will be stopping in here a lot.

Winchester’s newest sports bar. A full bar with seating, a couple of monitors and a juke box occupies the back of the building. The restaurant occupies the front. Menu items are typical of a bar and grill. Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches and Steaks. The steaks are grilled out year round to the doneness you request. Something I want to try, Broccoli Poppers. Broccoli florets made with cheddar cheese and deep fried. Sounds good. Non-alcohol beverages include Coke products, Ale 8, Tea and Lemonade. They also offer coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate. I had the hamburger platter. The patty was hand patted and was very good. Comes with french fries and cole slaw. The fries were big, crinkle cut fries. Very good and hot when it came to the table. The cole slaw is homemade and contains Donna’s secret dressing which is very delicious. Friday and Saturday they offer specials. They have beer cheese. Happy hour is Monday — Saturday 2−7pm. Smoke free. Really enjoyed my meal, would recommend. Definitely going back. The service was fast and friendly. I hope they do well.
