If you have some ice climbing experience, this is not the place for you. In a whole day of guiding we got it one pitch of 3+, which took the guide far longer to put up then it should have.

North Ridge Mountain Guides was fantastic! Our guide/​instructor, Travis, was knowledgeable, a great teacher, very flexible to requests and focused on the information we were most interested in learning. Student /​teacher ratio was excellent with only two of us in the group, and I definitely felt very safe despite the fact that it was my very first time climbing. I thought it would be a one time trip, but you may have created a convert. Thanks for a wonderful experience! We’ll definitely be coming back to you for any future rock climbing lessons.

North Ridge Mountain Guides was one of the most affirmative outdoor adventure (rock climbing) experiences I have had. Safety was paramount at every turn. Student/​guide ratio by their policy never exceeds 4 to 1. Lots of opportunity to learn technique and put the technique to practical use in a variety of beginner climbs. We all came away with newly discovered self confidence. Jamie, our instructor-​guide was knowledgeable, friendly and informative — a good teacher, who was clearly enjoying his students as much as they enjoyed him. He paced the class to the needs and skills of the students. In a single 5 hr class we learned and practiced climbing, belaying and rappelling, always with a focus on safety and technique.
