Beautiful location and the cost is very good considering access to the grounds themselves and nearby tourist spots. The front desk staff was very attentive and accommodating. I was with a wedding party and we ended up doing last minute craft decorations the night before. The gentleman at the front desk kindly provided us with paper, tape and scissors. I brought my three children, ages 6, 2 and 1. The one year old’s pack and play fit very nicely in the corner of the room. Be forewarned, there are no bathtubs at this facility, at least not in my room or that of my family members. So I was not able to bathe the children and they do NOT like showers. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and had standard size pillows as well as a long body pillow. There is WiFi in the lobby, which I was able to use in my room, but I understand some of those further from the lobby were not. There are no phones or fridges in the rooms either, but the facility is not large, it’s an easy walk to the front desk for a phone and they happily will place any perishable items in their refrigerator. There is a gated pool with plenty of seating and pool noodles for the kids. There is continental breakfast included, which consists of muffins, bagels(toaster, cream cheese, jams and butter), granola/cereal bars and yogurts. There is also coffee and orange juice. I’m an eggs and bacon girl myself, but certainly don’t expect that to be included. There is no Starbucks in the area, but there is quite a nice coffee shop not 5 – 10 minutes away called Maui Wowi. There is also a Subway, pizza place, BBQ place and an HEB within a 5 – 10 minute drive. There is posted quiet time from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m., which is very much needed because you can hear quite a bit through the doors from the hallway. Overall it was a very nice clean place and I was quite satisfied with my stay.

I was shocked at how low the prices were. The employees were super nice, we came in around midnight and the young man working the front desk held the door open for us. They have free breakfast, the rooms are super clean and unique. My favorite part was definitely all the all the scenery around the lodge, so so beautiful. Definitely will be returning.

Very nice setting and relaxing place to stay. Staff very helpful… Wimberly is a fun town. Hotel is very old and is outdated to some extent – TV’s small, internet does not reach room, but it is cozy, clean, and true to its style from the time period. Prices are reasonable, so it is a good value.

I recently spent my Memorial Day weekend at the Lodge at Cypress Falls in Wimberley, Texas and was pleasantly surprised with our stay. Picking the right hotel/motel in Wimberley was a challenge(i.e. small town, limited number of hotels, no chain hotels) so I had some reservations on how our stay would go. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the desk clerk Ryan. He was super nice and helpful. Upon presentation, the lodge may seem on the smaller side, but I fell in love with its rustic, «small town» charm. Our room was very clean and met our expectations. The furniture and bedding made me feel at home. Yes, the rooms cannot be compared to a Hilton in Austin, but for price and location the place was perfect. The continental breakfast was also a nice surprise(they had a wide variety of breakfast snacks). The only negative downfall of the trip was the weather(which of course is not in their control — lol). My overall experience of the stay was great. The Lodge at Cypress Falls is a clean, cute and affordable motel for the Wimberley area. We will return soon!!!

My husband and I got married at Cypress Falls 10/27/2012. Without a doubt, Cypress Falls gets 5 stars across the board in every area — service, responsiveness, professionalism, value, flexibility. Lynnsey and the Cypress Falls staff were incredibly helpful. All the potential problems we almost had before and during the wedding were avoided because Lynnsey and her team were always there with the perfect solution to help. For example, some of our decorations that we had shipped to Cypress Falls never made it. Lynnsey went out the first day of wedding prep to shop and find us replacements. Lynnsey and her staff did an amazing job setting up our decorations, putting together our wedding favors, and all those freaking tasks that seem to crop up during wedding prep. They saved us a ton of time so that my fiancé, our bridal party and I could spend it doing other things. Lynnsey just asked for a list of everything we needed help with and they got every single task done before the wedding. Seriously, we didn’t have to worry about anything. Lynnsey and the Cypress Falls crew took care of it all. Cypress Falls was definitely the most affordable venue, of all the places we visited. I think this may be due to the fact that they do not provide catering, which we preferred so that we could pick out the caterer ourselves. Since we had our wedding in October, we also saved some money by having our wedding during their off-peak time. We used Cypress Falls as the venue for both the ceremony — creekside under a gorgeous, old tree — and the reception — which can be indoor or outdoor or both depending on the weather and your preferences. The flexibility in the space worked out so well for us because the weather ended out turning really cold for our wedding, so we were able to have the ceremony outdoors during the day and the reception both indoors(for dinner) and outdoors(for drinking + dancing). Lastly, we loved that Cypress Falls also provided on-site accommodations because this allowed us to turn our wedding into a weekend-long party with our closest friends and family. The lodge really made the wedding weekend feel home-y and comfortable and just really us. Thank you Cypress Falls!
