Mountain View Lodge

This is a cozy and secluded hotel that has a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is kept clean. The rooms are very comfortable. It has a small pool and access to a private trail for which a printed guide is provided. I definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area.

You can’t beat this view. And the price for a hill country place like this is incredible. It’s just enough out of town to feel secluded, but you can still enjoy the things that make Wimberley great. Can’t wait to go back!

Mountainview Lodge was perfect for our group (wedding guests, bridal party, family). The rates were reasonable, great location — most rooms have a small balcony overlooking the hill country, very clean and comfortable. The pool area is very nice & clean, towels provided, and also has an unobstructed view of the hill country.
The owners and housekeeper we extremely friendly and personable. They provide nature trail guides in every room, as well as coffee, doughnuts, and fruit every morning.
Toiletries are not provided in each room (not a deterrent, just worth mentioning).

After Wimberly Log Motel failed to keep my reservation in tact, we decided to drive around and see if we came across anything. Luckily, we passed Mountain View Lodge!
Their rates were so reasonable and the location is beautiful! Every room has a balcony that overlooks the hillside. They have an outdoor pool and a nature trail. There a trail guide in each room that helps you identify wildlife and a neat dinosaur fossil! There are even walking sticks for you to use at the beginning of the trail. In the morning, the lovely managers put out a breakfast of coffee, donuts, fruit and juice in the office.
It turns out, I was lucky that my other reservation didn’t work out. Otherwise, we never would have found this gem!
