My fiancé and I purchase a Christmas ornament on each of our travels so we were thrilled to come upon Aunt Jenny’s Attic with a small sign that said«Christmas Year Round.» We chose the Wimberley ornament that her husband made from local cedar, a pair of beautiful earrings that she made into clip ons while I watched(my ears aren’t pierced but these earrings were so beautiful and I wanted to wear them in my upcoming wedding), and my fiancé got an metal medal ornament and a wall hanging that was made from a mode from the 17th century! I loved talking with Aunt Jenny, she has so many wonderful stories and she is just brimming with such radiant joy that it fills everyone who comes to her shop. I hope someday she writes an autobiography because I would love to read it. She is truly a wonderful person and I am profoundly thankful we met her on our trip to Wimberley.

Adorable little shop — mostly Christmas décor and German items. The best part is Aunt Jenny, the owner. She is a hoot and a half and really sweet. It was like we’d known her forever. Oh, and be sure to meet Sherman when you go– he’s the adorable doggie that sits behind the counter!

Ok… here’s why I LOVE Aunt Jenny’s Attic. The owner of this place travels very frequently to Europe to acquire delicately gorgeous things for this shop… things that you would normally never find in the states. Last time I was in, there were some beautiful items from Germany. If you’re looking for a truly different gift item for someone, this is your place.
