It has been a long time since I’ve been here, and now I remember why I quit coming. Food was OK. The menu left a lot to be desired. But all in all decent. What truly gives this a establishment a low review was the horrific service. Other than the bar, the restaurant was empty. 5pm on a Friday and waitresses on duty could not break themselves away from their gossip session to service their tables. Literally, she never came to our table without having to be flagged down. I received one glass of water in over an hour. And whats worse is that she was training another waitress to be as horrible as her.

What is it with«Wings» places? East Coast, Hooters, BWW, etc. They always have the smallest wings/drums? You would think they make a living off them, so would make an effort for a better, meatier(sp) choice? However, I still give 4 Stars because they are consistent, have a good variety of sauce choices, but most important very good service. I have been to this location when it is packed and relatively empty and always got attentive Servers. Live Music, super large screen with TVs everywhere for sports with decent drink specials. Wings places are gimmicky, but at least they do it well and deserve my money.

When we moved up here from FL, we had to find another wing house since the one down there(Holligan’s) is family-owned and is only in the Central Florida area. We had many options; Katy’s, BDubs, and Wild Wing Café. We tried BDubs down in Daytona, but they did not have too much flavor. We did not try Katy’s but I heard it’s very good, so we were left with one option; Wild Wing Café! When we first walked in, it reminds me of a sports bar & my dad’s garage(because it is a mixture of both.) The sweet teas we ordered tasted pretty good, but let’s not rave about the tea because the wings and fries tasted even better! My family has become regulars at this place because of how great the food/atmosphere is. Even though Buffalo Wild Wings opened a new location about 3 minutes from home(Bayshore Commons — Walmart Anchored Shopping Center), the 10 minute drive to Wild Wing is one that’s worth it.

Best wings in ILM by far! Crispy and hot. Great sauce! Everything on the menu that we have ordered is good and the wings are awesome. Also, the live music on weekends is excellent. What a great place!

An update to our past reviews… We’ve become regulars. Eating here every weekend(and sometimes more). Amazingly, really, we haven’t had a bad meal or experience. My favorite place for wings or chicken sandwich! Crispy fries. Bucket of beers. 10 stars.

I usually call in my order and pick it up. Sophie took my order and was extremely friendly and will to help, I was greeted when I arrived my smiling faces and the atmosphere was great! This is one of my favorite places for wings but mainly because of the service :)

Being new in the area I like to try different places. I am glad I tried and I will never be back. Let’s start with the food. Eat only the wings. At best they were 3 stars. My salad was not fresh… the chicken tasted ok. Our server was good– my career advice the her is you could be making much more money in a place serving half decent food! The place in general feels grubby! I honestly think they could serve better food for the area.

I love this place! My husband and I stopped on our way back home and watched a game there. I choose the buffalo chicken dip and it was amazing! We both ordered wings of course, making it so we were able to sample 6 of their many flavors. All of which were tasty by the way!

The wings are really crispy and good! I got the«gold rush» flavor and I really liked them! I think it’s super dumb that they charge you for more ranch though. Our waitress was really sweet and just gave us some extra secretly. I was overall just really impressed with the service! I liked it way better than Buffalo Wild Wings and would definitely go back!

Good over all pricing. I got boneless wings with Bubba’s BBQ and Medium sauce and they were very breaded but had a good flavor. I called in for pick up and the lady seemed a little rude on the phone but was very pleasant and nice in person. My boyfriend tried the Braveheart wings because he loves spicy food, but says he’s had hotter. Keep in mind that he eats habenero peppers for the hell of it. Would go back and try different flavors.

I consider myself a wing connoisseur. I have ate wings all over the country. Even wings from the original Anchor Bar in Buffalo. These wings have me coming back for the past 10 years, I’m addicted! I travel for work so this is always my last place to eat before I leave and the first place I eat when I return. The atomic wings(formerly Chernobyl) are my favorite. The heat sneaks up on you in a great way and the flavor matches the heat. They are always large wings and I order them crispy and wet. My wife likes the red dragon wings and she cant go without an extra side of their ranch. You can always find me here on Tuesday for BOGO wings night. This place is much better than BWW and dosent have that over processed taste. I hope you can enjoy this great Wilmington staple as much as I have over the past 10 years!

Great atmosphere and awesome food! Will definitely come Back when in Wilmington. I had the sweet chili wings and a chicken cheese steak and they were both delicious!

I just got home with my takeout order of wings only to find a rubber glove strung between the chicken wings. You can’t write this…

Moving to NC in 2007, I was pleasantly surprised to find a great wing place that was also a successful chain up and down the south Atlantic Coast. I really like the overabundance of sauce choices ranging from no heat sweet BBQ all the way up to Braveheart(6 pepper score!). I think they are so much better than BBW because of the wide variety of other menu items and just a bit of twist on the same run of the mill appetizers. Try the Buff chips… homemade chips with house spice and bleu cheese crumbles! YUM!

Wild wing café is a good restaurant. Don’t really go here often, but when I go I get a wrap with waffle fries. It comes with really good dipping sauces. It’s really noisy in there and usually is a long wait.

Great wings and great service. Kids meals were good too. Menu was hard to follow but options were all excellent. Brownie dessert was delicious.

Meh… I was disappointed with this place. I’ve heard a lot of things about this place from locals who love it, with a lot of them saying it’s the best in town. I was excited to try the different sauces… and thought it was cool you can choose 2 sauces with an order of 10 wings. I tried 4 different sauces between myself and my dining companion… some were good, but some were very bland. By «good»…I really just mean OK. I did enjoy the crispiness of the wings, as they were crispier than average, but the sauces were weak. The good ones were a rating of a 3 on spiciness… they were barely spicy. The wings with a 2 rating were very mild, and not too flavorful. The size of the wings was not impressive either. I do not think I will venture back here, unfortunately. I think this place should either adjust their sauce formulas, serve larger wings, or both! I thought they would be much better than buffalo wild wings, but I was wrong! Oh and by the way, weak beer list.

Awesome place for wings! Two for tuesdays! I got 16 boneless wings for $ 6.99! The ginger and Colorado chopper BBQ were awesome! I can’t wait to go back to try the other flavors!

Best wings in town! great place to watch the game. Happy hour specials, daily specials, live music and service is good. I can even vouch for the salads. One thing is it seems to drawl a lot of college students but I like that, but if I was a family on busy night might not be ideal, but Its for sure family friendly. Anyway, if you want good wings then come here. Tues nights you can get buy 1 get 1 as well.

I love football, I love beer and I love delicious, ridiculously spicy wings and I can find all 3 of these things at Wild Wing Café. I shared an order of wings with Carolina Fireball sauce with my friend and I thought they were good on size and taste. Oh and on their menu they have a heat index on the sauce menu so people will know what they should/shouldn’t order on their wings. Our entrees consisted of a Bufferella which was basically a spicy chicken tender wrap with all sorts of cheese and dressing inside and a regular chicken sandwich and both orders came with fries and were equally good. The interior dining is plastered with TV’s broadcasting using ESPN or something of the sort and the same goes for the bar area. It’s a pretty good atmosphere, a good place to grab a meal, enjoy some wings and a few beers with friends or family.
