We eat here all the time. George the owner is very personable. As soon as he recognized me as being a repeat customer, he came from behind the counter to introduce himself and have a conversation with me. Since then, whenever I get take out there, he makes a point to greet me and converse. Can’t ask for anything more. That business philosophy will get him nothing but success. Oh and for his food. It is great. The biggest and best roast beef sandwich in Wilmington. My kids love his burgers and they especially love his French fries. His crispy chicken sandwich is awesome as is the pastrami.

The steak tip salad with house dressing is good here except they are way over priced. No salad should cost $ 15 it’s a sin. Also they could take some pointers on customer service

Rizzo’s has some of the best pizza ever! I would make the trek from Boston just to eat their buffalo chicken pizza. They are extremely generous with their toppings and the sauce that they use is packed with flavor. It had the perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Only thing that I didn’t really like was how they sliced their pizza. They cut it down the middle and then horizontally so you’d get pizza strips. I prefer your traditional v-shaped cut. But who cares! the pizza is bomb!

Did anybody else experience the rude service there or was it just us? The food was expensive the pizza tasted frozen hard rock. When my order was done the girl yelled out«your food is done.» We said thank you and she just looked away. This is the 2nd time this happen. So no i know for sure i am not coming back to this place. High price, pizza and salad was disgusting, and rude service. If you hate your job find a new one, i knew i should of drove a little further and go to lisas pizzeria 10x better and way cheaper, thats all i got to say.

Rizzo’s is your typical, no frills pizza/sub shop with an AMAZING roast beef sandwich! I met a friend here for a quick dinner tonight. They have a large variety of items on the menu, but the roast beef sandwich was labeled«famous» so I just had to give it a try. So glad I did and I will be back again very soon for another. My four star rating is pretty much based on the roast beef sandwich since I have not tried any other menu items. This sandwich is available in a few different sizes on a soft roll. The beef is very fresh and cooked perfectly rare. Rizzo’s is tucked away behind a large apartment complex at the corner of Church Street/Route 62 and Route 38 so be sure not to miss it!

Ok if you like greasy Greek pizza with brown cheese. The pastrami and roast beef sandwiches looked awesome. One size subs in the $ 7 range.

Great pizzas!!! We have ordered in a few times from this place and have never been disappointed! A special mention to their garlic lovers pizza with chicken! It was delicious! We have also ordered pasta from here and it was great. Special mention to their service. Once we walked in at closing time without realizing that it was closing time, they were nice enough to accommodate us which was really great! Would definitely rate it over pizza places like Dominos!

One of the best pizzas. We had ordered garlic, basil with chicken pizza and buffalo chicken pizza. The crust was good and good portion of topping. Both of them were awesome. Certainly recommend this place.

Love this place. IMO best salads around. Fresh, quality ingredients. not the cheapest around but you get what you pay for. Roast beef is excellent… Calzones great. My kids love the buffalo wings which have a little sweeter taste than your average. Owner seems to be there often and is engaging and friendly. wants customers to be happy. Didn’t think Wilmington needed another ‘pizza joint’ to move in but now very happy that they did!

Best roast beef I ever had, it looks like perfection, roll super soft and hot, beef always consistant and best of all its rare. I absolutely love this place. I have yet to find a better roast beef where they make the meal look like a work of art. Excellent!

I’ve been here a couple times. I do like the sauce that comes on the buffalo tenders and wings. Tangy and thick. I usually prefer spicy but these are not spicy wings. Still good. Had the meat lovers pizza today. It was quite good. My coworker had the veggie wrap and really enjoyed it. We ordered delivery today and it took over an hour. Unforgivable after I was given a time frame of a half hour. No discount given, just said they were busy. Fries and onion rings ended up soggy. Update: George contacted me over the weekend and graciously offered to supply me with free fries upon my next order. He also apologized on behalf of Rizzos for not being supplied with a correct delivery time. Thank you George.

My family and I stopped in today for lunch. Wanted to try the roast beef I heard so much about but decided on the steak tips instead. Wow this place does steak tips the best I’ve had since moving to mass… my son got pizza which he talked about for a while and he is a 6 year old pizza snob. My wife had the chicken cutlet and she liked the sandwich but unfortunately probably didn’t rate it high because she had a piece of my sandwich. Top notch place can’t wait to visit again…

First time and last time. Ordered 2 pizzas, price was reasonable hence the two stars but the pizza tasted like cardboard frozen crap. Really? Why can’t we get a decent homemade real dough pizza place in Wilmington? We can’t comment about anything else on the menu. But if they can’t even make pizza right then we are not coming back. :/

The best pizza in Wilmington. The sauce is unique and somewhat sweet, and the crust is really good. It’s pricier than other places in Wilmington, but it seems justified since all of their food tastes fresh and homemade. I never have a problem with spending $ 10 for their chicken, broccoli, & ziti. It comes with garlic bread and a small salad. On the rare occasions I order takeout, I now always order from here.

Over the past few years I have realized that I am not a big roast beef sandwich type of girl. I just don’t like them. However, Rizzo’s has plenty of other options(meatball subs, etc.) for those of us who are anti-roast beef. The absolute best part of my meal from Rizzo’s were the onion rings. GETTHEONIONRINGS!!! They are awesome.

My household orders from here at least once a week. We’ve ordered just about everything on the menu and have no complaints. I’m not sure what other people reviewing in regards to frozen like pizza but we have never had anything as good in Wilmington for pizza. Roast beef is also top notch, can’t ever eat one without feeling like you’re about to go into a food coma since they are not stingy like most other roast beef places. Sure the deliver can sometimes be a bit of a wait but I’ve had much worse from other local establishments. Delivery guys always nice and the people who take the orders also do a good job even with fairly large orders with special requests. Oh and if anyone from rizzo’s is reading this; bring back the thanksgiving sub!

Went in for the first time today, always drove by the place and wanted to try it out. I called in a pick up and asked for two pizzas well done. I got there and there was no one at the counter. I waited for 5 mins and then i had to yell«Hello, is anyone here?» Then a few seconds later someone came out from the back room and asked what i needed. I got my pizzas, got home and they were not well done. As a matter of fact, it seemed undercooked. I had to put it in the oven when i got home for 10 mins and the the pizza was good. As previous poster said, it seems like they were frozen and heated it up. That along with the service at the counter will prevent me from going again.

I stopped by here with a friend for dinner, not really knowing what to expect. It’s pretty new and looks small from the outside, but it’s so cute! Not in a cutesy-cute way, but it’s clear some thought went into it. The place is clean, and the interior design is sharp and well thought-out, lots of small tables and chairs and two flat screen tvs. The menu offers a broad range of selections, and if you aren’t up for pizza there’s plenty in the way of hot and cold subs and more. I tried the veggie pizza, and it was awesome. Lots of toppings, thick, crispy crust, tasty but not overly greasy cheese, and everything was cooked perfectly. The prices were nice too — it’s been a while since I’ve gotten pizza, and the last time I really paid attention to prices, it was about $ 11 for a large — here it’s about $ 10 for a small(but it’s really not that tiny) — for the two of us it was a perfectly sized dinner. No waste, and no one was left hungry! I’d like to come back and try some other things on their menu!

Excellent new offering for Wilmington! Rizzo’s calzones and pizza’s are fantastic. Always loaded with fresh toppings. We had an issue on delivery, half the pizza topping was off the pizza, but it was still tasty. Also, their staff is still in training mode, which requires a little more patience calling in and picking up. Otherwise, they are great!

New place in town and so far what I have had or tried has been above my expectations. Usually pizza falls short but they have a good slice. The roast beef is great and the super on the onion roll is two meals in one. It is new and I can only imagine it will get better if that is possible. They did a great job opening a new place and not skipping a beat.
