Red West Pizza Wilmington

Best pizza ever, you won’t regret coming here and having to find parking. I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and now bring my kids. The salad bar is great and they carry other foods beside pizza. They also have beer. Come and visit this place.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Heck, I remember ditching school and hitting this place up for the lunch specials back in the 90’s…lol
Living up the block on Neptune made Red West my go to spot for pizza, never liked the corporate pizza delivery spots in the area. I would rather walk up the street and pick up a pizza from here. I dont even live in the area anymore but still try to hit this joint up when I’m in the area, still tastes the same and its a blast from the past for me.
Im a sucker for the Calzones but the last 2 visits the Mexican pizza has been my go to. Get yourself some wings, they are pricey but good!

Me and my mom’s favorite pizza spot! We’ve known the staff and owner for years and they’re absolutely amazing. Such friendly people and great customer service. My family is definitely a very loyal customer. Can’t beat the amazing pizza and salad bar! They have pretty cheap beer pitchers too.
The pizza is pretty pricey depending on your toppings but it is worth it!

The pizza is very pricey BUT very good !
If you want authentic pizza and ain’t scared to drive this way you should definitely try it!
Pronto pizza located on same street is BOMB if you want a $ 5 pizza.

We called in out order for a large pizza, wheat crust, mushrooms and olives. Our order was a pick up to go order. We were told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. We picked up the pizza it was ready on time. It was a Friday night the place was packed. Great environment– singles, families, video games, friendly employees. Overall we had a very good experience and we will order from Red West again no doubt! I would also recommend it to friends and family.

Cool place 2^nd time here! On a Saturday its very busy good thing that i made reservation a week ahead good pizza but the only thing i dnt like is that they charge for every refill on the soda and when u get salad wish it was unlimited. But its all good we order 4 large pizzas so it was 65 plus 5 bucks a picther for the sodas. They also have arcades not alot tho this is this one machine that you can get little goodies out of i only when for the 1 dollar ones the other i can get at the 99cent store vs spending 3 to 5 bucks at the machine other than that we had a good time.

This is our 1^st time here, good service, but The pizza was mehhh!!!
Spaghetti was good nothing out of the ordinary. We wouldn’t come back. For my believe I think is Lil bit overprice and not that good food.

Totally recommend coming here if you want yummy pizza. I’ve been coming here for years now and I’m always leaving the place feeling happy. The people who work there are great and super friendly with me each time. I absolutely love this place and will keep coming back.

Pizza was okay. A little too crusty for my taste but overall it was decent.
Went here on a Wednesday night and location seemed to not be too busy.
Had to wait about 30 minutes for the order, but sounds like a pretty general time.
Not my fave, but would recommend if you want to try a crusty pizza.
Also, if you stay one second after they close, they will turn off the lights off on you even if you are not completely finished with your meal. Extremely rude!

Man I have had pizza all over the place and this is so TASTY STUFF.
They use quality toppings and LOTS OF EM.
My boyfriend grew up in wilmington and it is a serious staple in his childhood. We came one morning after hiking and all his hype really stood the test. I thought the service was a LITTLE bit slow but it’s worth it for amazing pizza. I also like how they keep ranch and other condiments out in the public and you don’t have to keep asking for more at the counter.

Pineapple with pepperoni has always been my favorite in other places. And its definitely because I loved it first here. Gets packed on weekends but I don’t mind take-​out. Be sure to call ahead of time for pick up, a large pizza usually takes 15min or less to make. 5 stars!

It’s okay but I have had better. $ 22 for a large combination pizza? I think that’s a little high.
Buonos is better.

Great pizza. I have grown up eating the pizza and it is the perfect portion of bread to cheese and pepperoni. The only customization we make is extra sauce which will make it so much better than it already is. It’s easy to order over the phone, and there always coupons on the back of the grocery store receipts from the area.
Make sure if you go for pick up only, save yourself some time and go to the line in front of the salad bar and not the normal line.

My fan bam loves coming here and we’ve been coming here for years, but it’s not my fav. The pizza supreme that we always order don’t like it very much so I decided to give red west another try. I’m a pizza lover so I decided to order the pizza calzone, with pepperoni and mushrooms and didn’t like it one bit. The sauce suppose to be inside the calzone not on the side. Wow another disappointment. Now the last thing I need to try before I give up on this place is the meatball sandwich. I gotta say the wings and the salad are good but that’s it. The ambient it’s great and I love it. I can just sit there drink a beer and watch everybody that comes in and out and get my laugh on… I love it. Until my next review (meatball sandwich)…

Who doesn’t love red west pizza?! Best pizza in town & pretty much in the South Bay. Been coming here since I was a kid & it still tastes the same.
We usually get the honky tonk, pineapple & ham or the Mexican pizza. All delicious!
Wings & salad bar are also a must.
Yeah parking kinda sucks & it does get ridiculously crowded on the weekends, but it’s worth it.

Best pizza restaurant. My family loves this place and we still stop by, once or twice a month, even though we moved over to the east side of long beach.
The food hasn’t changed at all after all these years, and the workers and owner are always nice.

I have not had this good of pizza in decades! Place reminds me of old style Shakes from the 70’s. Had the honky tonk pizza. Mmmm. Wings look and smell incredible. Will be back soon.

Their pizza is tasty, would I say it was awesome, not really but it was good. Crunchy edge and bottom, had pepperoni and jalapeños, cheese was on point.
Also tried their wings and they were good, crispy outside skin and moist tender chicken inside. They provide a buffalo sauce and Bleu Cheese on the side.
This place I would have to say was a Shakeys, the layout of the restaurant seems that way to me. My date stated it was this place as far as she can remember but if you know Shakeys you must know what they all look like, their layout has never really changed.
Anyhow, décor needs upgrading in a way, you sit where their is room. Small arcade area for the kids.
Parking is very limited, but I found side street parking. Main strip I wouldn’t recommend it, read the signs.
Try them out, they are decent and good.

Not impressed at all…
I had a honky tonk pizza with pineapple topping.
Crust is little over cooked … Mediocre tomato sauce … Regular toppings.
Nothing was special or unique about the pizza we are.
Digiorno pizza (frozen) has much more flavor in my opinion.
I don’t understand what’s the hype about this place.

Red West is one of my favorite pizza places ever! Other pizza parlors are lacking one way or another, but Red West is the most flavorful pizza you can get. Sadly, I don’t live near here, so it’s a real treat when I get to eat here. Orange County pizza places should take note of this place and learn from how amazing it is, or the owners can just open one in Anaheim near me. ;)
Anyways, the pizzas here come in four sizes: Personal (8″) /​Sm (10″) /​Med (12″) /​Lg (14″) /​Fam (16″). I would recommend the larger pizzas just so you will have leftovers because the pizza is so flavorful. The crust is a little on the thinner side, the toppings are plentiful, and the sauce is on the lighter side (which I love… I hate overly sauced pizza). My go to order would be pepperoni, garlic, and jalapenos. Three simple ingredients come together to essentially create pizza magic. You will not be disappointed with that combination.
Red West Pizza will fulfill your pizza needs. They also have soups, salads, and appetizers, but really, the pizza is what matters, and the pizza is top notch.
