PlushBeds sent someone out and took care of my issues. Jolene was fabulous!

Buying experience.
I was in the market to purchase a latex mattress, which as many people know can be fairly pricey. I chose plushbeds given their price and the ability to swap out different layers if I was unhappy. And finally, FREE RETURNS! Which I will get to in a minute.
Like others have said, when I called to order they insisted the sale was ending and I should buy now, the sale was extended after my purchase date, big surprise here.
The mattress arrived quickly. Overall, quality seemed pretty decent, however, mattress was way too hard and just wasn’t a fan, so I tried to exercise the free return. When doing so, you never get someone on the phone, you always have to leave a message with this lady and she calls back, which they did always call back, ill given them that. However, I was convinced (Sold) to try and swap out the top layer. I agreed to try it, but note, it cost me a $ 200 deposit which would be refunded if I sent the original layer back.
When it arrived and I went to replace the layer, the two layers in the original mattress were fused/​stuck together in parts. This caused me to tear the latex in certain areas trying to separate them. I was under the impression they would be two loose pieces, this was not the case.
I tried the exchange, but still wasn’t happy, so decided to return everything with the FREE RETURN.
So I call them again and they email me return instructions. Let me tell you, these instructions are not on the website, they are as follows:
«Please wrap the mattress in heavy plastic to protect it during shipping. You can place the mattress in a large box or you can piece together several boxes as long as the mattress is adequately covered. We recommend folding the mattress like a taco, wrapping it in plastic and taping, putting it in the box and securing the box or boxes with strong tape.»
If you have every dealt with a latex mattress, they are very difficult to move, let alone find a box for it to fit in that won’t tare to pieces!
I had to purchase a box and plastic shipping wrap and a whole bunch of box tape (not a free return anymore). If I was an older person or lady this would have been an impossible task.
Personally I think they offer advertise free returns because the reality of someone actually accomplishing a return has to be like 1 in 10, and they say they only have like a 1% return rate or something crazy. I think its because people can’t get it packaged up, but thats just a guess.
Overall, I would do an incredible amount of research on latex mattress before ordering from them, just don’t purchase with the comfort of the free return because you will likely be keeping whatever you end up ordering.

) Bumbling Clouseau comes to mind when remembering the experience of ordering, delivering and setting-​up the latex king-​size bed I ordered. So, zis review will use quotes from «The Pink Panther» to get points across, followed by more detail (prefixed with «—-») of my experience getting the bed.
Ponton: [after beautiful Xania has invited Clouseau to dinner] «It could be a trap.»
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: «Who cares?»
—- PlushBeds’ website urges «Buy now», because the special is ending as of _​! No it doesn’t. We’ve watched the site for quite a while. It starts over for two more weeks, etc. Sort of… —-
French journalist: «Inspector, do you know if the killer was a man or woman?»
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: «Well of course I know that! What else could it be? A kitten?»
—- What should we order? We had researched latex mattresses at sites in Houston and online for months (consumer feedback at sleeplikethedead, etc.), and we decided on organic all latex (not the combos which are most prevalent). For that, the choices are limited, but we chose to order online. —-
Nicole: «Do you live alone, Inspector?»
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: «Yes, I do.»
Nicole: «Do you ever get lonely?»
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: «No. Not since the Internet.»
—- Now, we were trying to decide which vendor, and the thickness and firmness of the layers. So, first, we needed a bunch of questions answered that the competitors and PlushBeds websites do not address. We resolved those via phone calls and emails, and decided to buy a PlushBed. —-
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: [talking about the vase stuck on his right hand] «Monsieur Larocque, is this vase of great value?»
Larocque: «It is a worthless imitation.»
[slams the vase on the nearby desk in order to break it, but ends up breaking both the vase and the table in the process]
Larocque: «But that desk was… priceless.»
—- Be sure to understand the costs involved. For example, something you need to know if the mattress is not to your satisfaction: While they may only charge a small fee for exchange, it would cost $ 400 to ship it back (it’s heavy), and YOU have to pack it back up into a box.
Inspector Jacques Clouseau: «Believe me. There are few thieves who are as clever as the Phantom. Each theft is completely different and unique, classic in its conception… his calling card … he always leaves a white monogrammed glove.»
—- They were offering a good deal, but we know they repeat it. So, we postpone the purchase to get the room ready, and eventually buy one in what we thought was the same free offers: price discount and «white glove» delivery and set-​up. But the white glove offer beyond the discount was NOT the same when we bought. So, I guess I got the brown glove treatment. —-
Clouseau: «Does your dog bite?»
Hotel Clerk: «No.»
Clouseau: [bowing down to pet the dog] «Nice doggie.»
[Dog barks and bites Clouseau in the hand]
Clouseau: «I thought you said your dog did not bite!»
Hotel Clerk: «That’s not my dog.»
—- Upon delivery, there was a misunderstanding. The delivery company would not take the bed into the house! When I called PlushBeds, I found out my mistake in the deal (I should have waited or paid the $ 250 for white glove), but they were not much help, since a different delivery company would have to re-​deliver the bed! Here are some of my words of anger: #@$%&!?? *#%$&@# !!! —-

Am I satisfied with the bed? So far, yes. We ordered a 10″, with different firmness on his and her sides of the bed. If we decide at some (limited) time to exchange on or more layers, we would only need to ship the affected layers to swap to a different firmness.
Am I still bitter about the poor communication and the delivery mess, yes. That is why I give them a poor rating.

I ordered a latex bed through the mail, Never Again. I talked to John who told me that it was not hard but medium in firmness, and when the bed came it was HARD as a rock. Also they offer free pillows but since I was getting a RV mattress it didn’t apply to me, and I think that is wrong. So I did have a good experience returning the mattress with Ann she really helped me out.

I had an unexpectedly hard time buying a new mattress set. I have fibromyalgia and decided I was done with springs and wanted to go back to natural latex, which I slept on as a kid for allergy reasons. I got the 9 inch natural latex bed with an adjustable foundation and I am so comfortable and so thankful. Prior to calling
, I tried to work with Macy’s and Sit and Sleep (shudder) where salesmen tried to talk me out of what I knew I wanted. Plushbeds had what I was looking for at the right price. I like the way their foundation is just like a normal bed. I decided I wasn’t interested in some of the adjustable foundations in department stores that only work with certain mattresses, or have places where my bedskirt would be trapped. I’m really happy with the bed and my pain levels have gone down. When there was a minor problem, it was resolved and I ended up getting the white glove set up for free, which I needed. They let you trade out the top layer to adjust the comfort as you can’t try the mattress in advance. It all worked beautifully and I’m super comfy. Their prices are cheap for natural latex.
