I normally don’t write Unilocal reviews, but I had such a good experience at Pagave and I felt it was necessary.
I am probably the pickiest person in the world when it comes to hair cuts. I usually never like how my hair looks after a cut. I am new to Delaware and discovered Pagave on Unilocal for eye brow waxing.
After a few visits for waxing, I decided to have my hair done. As I said, I never like my haircuts so I had low expectations.
I asked for a more experienced stylist and was paired with Paul Van Liew… It was probably the best haircut of my entire life. I have been beaming ever since I left the salon.
He asked me questions before my hair was washed and I showed him a picture of what I wanted… He nailed it! It looks just like the picture and he did exactly what I wanted. He made me so relaxed and at ease. And he really took his time.
There aren’t enough words to express my appreciation for a job so well done. I highly recommend pagave for waxing and for hair styling

I’ve been with Jill for a few years now, and she is an exceptional hairdresser and stylist. She listens and suggests as needed. She’s funny, smart, and professional. I highly recommend her!

I have been seeing Jill Ristine for my hair for the past 11 years– she is the absolute best. She has a way of knowing EXACTLY what I want for my hair. And making it even better than I imagined. I call it «hair therapy,» because I always leave feeling and looking better than I walked in!
Jill is exceptionally talented at what she does, she’s warm hearted, and she is always a professional. Not to mention, she gives a killer blow out! She really takes her time listening to me and making sure she is on the same page as me for my hair needs. I have since moved, far away to Maryland, and I still make the 2 hour drive to see Jill– she’s just THAT good.
If you want amazing hair, go see Jill. It’s that simple.

First I wish I could reply to people who obviously are incapable of observing their surroundings. Erin is an amazing esthetician. I’ve followed her from salon to salon for the past 12 years. There is a sink in her room and the wax she uses is not your standard wax. Get educated before posting idiotic statements. She is professional and an amazing brow artist and will leave your bikini smooth with out ingrown hairs. I’ve been other places and I can tell you she is the BEST!

Danielle has been cutting and coloring my hair for over a year and I get more compliments than ever before. She and Melissa are by far the best stylists/​colorists I have known.

I have been Erin’s client for well over a decade. Even after moving out of the area, I still continue to go to her for my facials as well as waxing. She does a wonderful job with my skin and she recommends products but has never tried to sell me anything (which I personally appreciate a great deal!). She gives me straight talk about what will and won’t work for my skin and she is an amazing resource when it comes to questionable ingredients in beauty products and how to best avoid them.
When it comes to waxing, I don’t trust anyone else. Erin helped bring my eyebrows back from the brink of extinction (I had spent many years just having any random person at a nail salon wax my eyebrows)! When it comes to Brazilian, Erin is the best. The whole process is quick, clean and respectful. I went to one place near my home in Pennsylvania where I couldn’t have felt more exposed and uncomfortable in the positions they asked me to hold – Erin does the job without asking me to do any weird yoga poses that make me feel vulnerable. Always a professional, she keeps her room clean, uses professional grade products and invests in herself and her clients by keeping up to date on best practices as well as the newest approaches.

I have been going to Pagave to see Erin for the past 4.5 years. She uses Nufree antibacterial wax for her eyebrow and body waxes. My eyebrows have had an amazing makeover from Erin thru the years! Her facials are also amazing… I have gotten so many compliments on my clear skin and fabulous eyebrows! I highly recommend Erin for awesome results!

I’m a stickler for service. Big time. But I’m also super loyal to a place that treats me like a valued customer. That’s why I will never leave Erin at Pagave. I have been Erin’s client for the better part of a decade and followed her here from another salon. I see her monthly for eyebrow waxes and when my personal financial situation was better (i.e. before I became a stay at home mom) I went for facials every 6 – 8 weeks. I get compliments on my eyebrows ALL THE TIME. It’s such a random thing for which to be complimented, but that’s what people say to me.
I have never, in the entire time I’ve been Erin’s client, had a single issue with unsanitary conditions. There is a sink in every wax room at Pagave (I have been in them all, being a monthly client), and the wax she uses was a product developed for surgeons to remove hair from patients. It sterilizes on contact.

I visited here in June for a Brazilian wax with Erin. Her reviews were great and she was highly recommended. I am an experienced waxer and was looking for a salon in DE. I just returned to the area from Chicago. Sadly, my experience was not the best. First issue… no gloves. I was pregnant when I was waxed and did not notice the lack of gloves until midway through. Freaked me out as there was no sink in the wax room. So she must have washed her hands in the bathroom and touched a few doorknobs before doing my wax. Perhaps she used anti-​bacterial hand sanitizer. But that is no substitute for washing your hands. Long story short, I left with over 30 ingrown hairs and 2 infected hair follicles and needed to use antibiotic cream. My doctor said my wax looked like «Rice Krispies». I spoke to the managers and Erin. Both were apologetic and offered a refund via mail. Erin offered a free facial. But being the germaphobe that I am, I could not take her up on that offer. I couldn’t let her work on my face if she doesn’t wear gloves for brazilians. It took multiple texts to Erin and over a month to actually get my refund and when I got it, it was less than what I paid. $ 55. I know I paid $ 60 or more.
Update: THERE WAS NOT A SINK IN THE ROOM I WAS IN. I REPEAT, NO SINK. I LEFT THE ROOM TO WASH MY HANDS BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SINK. ADDITIONALLY, I PAID MORE THAN $ 60 and I KNOW IT. The staff response is totally untrue. NOTE: they did not address the lack of gloves (is that considered sterile?) or a month long wait on a refund.

I’ve been seeing Erin for waxing and facials for over 13 years and always had a great experience.
I was comfortable with Erin on the first visit and every visit since. I actually look forward to my waxing appts. Erin is efficient and thorough and just a pleasure to be around.
It took some convincing for the facials due to my extremely sensitive skin. But, since seeing Erin, my skin is smoother, pores smaller and less red and irritated. She was super patient with me finding the right skin care regimen.
Also, I get compliments on my brows all of the time thanks to Erin’s skill on picking the right brow shape for the shape of my face.

I have been seeing Erin for all my waxing needs for a decade now. I have since moved to Baltimore MD and STILL make a trip once a month for my brow and bikini. What she has done with my uni-​brow is nothing short of a miracle and no one else will ever touch them. She is incredibly obliging as well, always trying to fit me into her already jam-​packed schedule whenever she can to accommodate MY scheduling demands. She’s knowledgeable, professional, and an absolute brow artiste.
I work at a hospital which has corrupted me into being a slight germ-​a-​phobe. Erin is incredibly sanitary and uses Nufree. Nufree is a hair-​removal system similar to waxing except it doesn’t contain any wax, honey or sugar and is antibacterial and antimicrobial. It is fantastic for sensitive skin prone to ingrown hairs such as mine.
Look no further for your skin care needs! Erin is hands down the best around! I will continue to make the trip!

ERIN IS THE QUEEN OF EYEBROWS!
I was recommended by a family friend to visit Erin and I am one satisfied client! When I first came to Erin, my eyebrows had been botched by many nail salon waxes. She told me that it would take some time, but it would be worth the wait. And she knows what she is talking about! I feel great during and after every visit! She always has soothing music playing, a heated chair, and a beautiful aura. And of course, my eyebrows look amazing. I will never let anyone else touch my brows ever again.
The receptionists are nice and accommodating.

I have been a client of Erin’s for over 10 years now! I am very happy to say that I have not plucked a single brow hair in 10 years, nor has anyone else touched my eyebrows but Erin.
Erin is timely, knowledgable, and fun to talk to. She knows when to talk and when to listen. She is great at letting my brows evolve over time — they are not always the exact same shape or length and I love the variety and modernity of this style.
Erin is a true skincare professional and I also use the facial cleansing and care products that she recommends.
I’ve also had other waxing and facial services with her, and would absolutely recommend her for any service! She’s awesome!

Salon location: Close enough to the highway that you’re not on 202 for too long if you’re not from the area. At the back corner of the Independence Mall with plenty of free parking.
Spa: The spa atmosphere is calming and relaxing, although it is not the biggest space (two pedicure chairs, 3 or 4 rooms for massages/​facials/​waxing and a bathroom) it is secluded and you can not hear one thing from the outside busy salon chatter or noise!
Salon: The front desk staff is accommodating and helpful at all times. There are always cookies/​pastries, hot tea, water, and coffee available. For Christmas they gave mugs to all their clients! There’s a separate salon bathroom.
Eyebrows: I have thick natural eyebrows. I like when an esthetician knows how to arch, shape, and clean a natural looking/​sometimes dramatic line. (no thin or straight eyebrows over here!)
Erin is *amazing*. She honestly does incredible work, while she will ask you what you like, and how comfortable you are with wax (although her mixture is technically not wax, it’s an organic mix of something). She has the ability to see what your eyebrows could look like 3 months from now — and can work you towards a goal or give you a one day makeover!
Her work is truly one of a kind. I recommend booking 1 month in advance to guarantee brows for the day you want.

Laura Beth is amazing! I went to her a few weeks ago, and I know I’ve never had a haircut that I like as much as this one. I will definitely become a regular customer here :)

I have been going to Erin at Pagave for several years and I won’t let anyone else touch my brows. She is great at skincare and waxing and the spa area is nicely tucked away from the salon. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I have heard great things about the salon side, as well.

Erin is the bomb. I’ve only been serviced by her at Pagave. Receptionists are nice too. I’ve tried many-​a-​waxologists and she’s the best. Yes, a Brazilian is about $ 50 but you do get what you pay for. In addition, she’s very nice and appreciates her clients. I think she remembers more about me than I remember about myself. She recalls every story I’ve told her and always inquires about my old and new … «ventures». If you’re in the Tri-​State area, go to her. You’ll be satisfied.

I have been going to Laura Beth for my hair for about a year. I have had amazing results. First of all my Mother-​in-​law has steadily complimented my hair since I started seeing Laura Beth, best compliment anyone could ask for! Second my personal stylist loves it and my husband says it never has looked better. I always get compliments that I look at least 10 years younger after seeing Laura Beth. She also does the most amazing scalp massage, ever. I feel she is very reasonable priced and is an outstanding designer. The Pagave facility is also very nice, warm and welcoming, always the best experience. You will not be disappointed, Amazing!!!

I had bad experiences with this salon, for the first time in my life I changed my hair color 2 times during 4 days ! Which is for sure will cause a lot of damages to my hair! I did both in this salon and Im still not satisfied because of the stylist she didn’t know how to dye and how to mix colors to get the wanted result! even though I chose the color from their catalog!
Everything else was good, the staff was so kind and lovely.
