Don’t stay at this hotel! I recently stayed here and the clerk gave my room key to another person in the hotel. This was a terrifying experience to have someone enter your room. The clerk was incapable of helping me and said it was too overwhelming for him to help me and there was no security to help me either. Was this a set up? I don’t know, but in light of what happened to Erin Andrews, I have to wonder about this breach of my safety at this hotel. Don’t stay here. How does a hotel give your room key to a total stranger and not know the room is occupied? Even a family member who is not on a room reservation cant get a key to your room! They are either inept or suspect, and either way my safety is not negotiable,

The hospitality at this hotel was great. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. Location is perfect! Chains of restaurants are across the street. And the mall is literally on the other side of the road. Im not sure if they recently renovated this hotel but everything looked brand new and clean! The first thing my fiancé did was checked the beds.(Yes we fear bed bugs) and he was impressed to find that the beds were spotless(practically new) without any stains and tears. Beds were comfortable and having a balcony was a plus! The front desk staff were so nice, efficient, helpful and accommodating. They had no problems switching a king size room to a double. Some of my family members who checked out first had left something in the room and Maria made sure she gave it to one of my family members. One of the boys, dropped their ATM card and because we were a pretty big group. She asked if it belonged to any of us and it sure did! I mean seriously, thank u Maria. We highly appreciate your honesty!!! Would like to also thank other staff members: Andy was quick to give us directions & gave us a few tips on the restaurants and Jasmine was a great bartender at the lobby! Housekeeping was friendly too and made sure we were stocked :) We’ve never received such great customer service at any hotel that I will definitely start staying at a Marriott. Thank u again and we will be back in the summer!

We are staying here after a 9 hour drive from NC. It is wonderful. Nice bar, hotdogs, and nachos. I am very happy. The location is perfect, close to food and shopping. Nice lobby and dining room. I haven’t stayed at a courtyard since I stopped working 8 years ago. Wow! What a difference. If you need a hotel when traveling in the area, try this hotel

Here’s my issue with this Courtyard Marriott: communication. There were three occasions when I called the front desk and received no answer, which I can forgive because I understand that the lobby can get busy, but what I’m not okay with is the fact that upon reaching the front desk, they were unable to do what I asked! I called one night to order food from their bistro downstairs, and was told to come down in 20 minutes. I went down and was informed that the front desk person never gave them my order. The person working at the bistro was so friendly and apologetic that I let it go, as I understand that people forget things. I was given a voucher for a free breakfast as a result, so I figured I’d give them another try. Imagine my surprise when the next morning, the same thing happened! The front desk person was on her cell phone as I waited for my food to be prepared, never even realizing that I was the person who called 20 minutes prior and who should have been eating at that point! In addition to those issues, I had a room with two beds, and one of the beds had stained sheets. Good thing there was another bed to choose from! On to some positives: the bistro and housekeeping staff are very friendly, the hotel is quiet, the pool and fitness centers are clean, the free Wifi works well, and the bistro has a good selection of food(but I was not at all impressed with my chicken quesadilla, which I left half eaten.) I also saw a sign about a happy hour being offered there(there’s plenty of time to read signs when you’re unexpectedly waiting for your food to be prepared), which I think is a fun perk that I may try if I stay in a different Courtyard, as I definitely won’t be returning to this one.

Quiet, comfortable, clean. Exactly what the Courtyard brand of Marriott properties are expected to be. While my upgraded room(I got a balcony!) wasn’t especially large, it still had the bed type I reserved, a work desk(with two power outlets), mini-fridge, microwave and comfortable tub-shower. Lots of parking and easy access. There’s an indoor pool and a workout room, I have no idea if they’re any good. I like this property. I’d stay here again.

SMOKERSBEWARE!!! Even if you go outside to smoke, and the smell stays on your clothes, the hotel will do everything in their power to charge you $ 250 and say that you smoked in your room.

Lovely hotel perfectly situated to tour all the DuPont mansions as well as Longwood gardens. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby area is nicely decorated and features a small café with Starbucks! Yay! The rooms are clean and have mini frig, coffee maker. Beds are very cozy! Room rates are very reasonable with AAA.

Extremely convenient to all the stores/restaurants in Wilmington. Front staff was very friendly. Issue came when I was in bed reading prior to bed and saw something move. It was a bug on the ceiling that was promptly killed by my shoe. 5 minutes later, another appears. Upon a call to the front desk, my room was changed, however the night’s sleep was very restless. The staff said they were stink bugs that were brought in to kill lady bugs last year and they cannot get rid of them. Had there been lady bugs on my ceiling, I would not have called for a room change!!!

Nice staff and clean hotel. I travel here for work and have had no problems. It’s close to a lot of chain restaurants(I’m still searching for the local gems), you won’t have a problem finding food nearby. There is free wifi, pool and gym. My only complaint is that I wish the rooms came equipped with mini fridges. Update: They’ve renovated all the rooms and they now have mini fridges :) Someone read my Unilocal review!
