This establishment is way too overpriced. My drinks were $ 10.25 each! The food was ok and the portion was small. Average cost with dinner and a few drinks is about $ 60 per person. Reality– This isn’t downtown Chicago.

Can’t get any better. The flexibility to bring your own wine and pay the corkage is also awesome. Over a forty year period, I can’t imagine anyone who has dined out more or spent more money in high end restaurants than me. I do, however, always bring my own wine and pay the requested corkage. Based on experience, getting a drinkable bottle of Pinot Noir is very difficult from any source. Indeed, almost impossible. In any event, last night may have been the best meal of my life. The FRESH baked clams, mussels in white wine sauce and the baseball cut of veal with creamy peppercorn sauce was simply off the map. Keep it up. As always, your servers are awesome.

The Chicago-land area has many good Italian restaurants. My Way is not one of them. Would never go back. The food was ok but the service was disappointing considering how small the place is. Also, not an impressive wine list.

We were monthly patrons since it opened. We probably ate there 15 to 20 times and brought many friends. The food was always good. Ted the owner even knows our names. We hadn’t been there in 2 months. Ted the owner berates us for not being there to a point of embarrassing us. This also happened 2 other times when we returned. Ted starts questioning us and demeaning us! I’m done with Ted and My Way. No way for My Way. We and our guests will NEVER return.

I’ve passed by My Way for a long time now, and every time I pass by I think thats a weird spot for a restaurant. I had no idea it was even an Italian restaurant until I looked it up on Unilocal. It was my mistake for passing it by and not giving it a chance sooner… The food is very good and its a nice little place. I went in the winter so there wasn’t an outdoor seating option, and inside is a bit tight so it can get a little personal if its crowded, but I’d rather see that then have it be empty inside. It was a little bit of an older crowd as well, but I’ve only been in once. If you live nearby, and are looking for a nice Italian place to try I would recommend My Way, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Just finished dining here tonight. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! I had the chicken primavera which was the best I ever had. The chicken melts in your mouth. My husband had the chicken and sausage giambotta. The sauce was wonderful and full of garlic! Best part of the meal was the seasoned homemade butter with bread. Not to miss this restaurant !!

I loved this place. The food was delicious. Our waitress, Flo, was wonderful. She made great recommendations. When I asked for our bottle of Zinfandel to be chilled a little(it should be about 55−60*) she didn’t hesitate to do the extra work for us. The food was fantastic. The owner was polite and attentive. I will definitely go back. What I liked most about My Way was that it is small– maybe 10 tables total? And cozy.

This place is AWFUL! The owner Ted is rude and should not be allowed to own a restaurant!

I read the reviews and was confused. I have eaten here several times and have never had a reservation. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic and have never had a bad meal here.

Went here a few years ago. You have to pay someone to park your car and the prices are high. Then they try to rush you out of there. Never go will go back. They don’t even should get one star. Truly awful

I have been dining at My Way for several years now and the reason is because of the food ITSDELICIOUS!!! The service is top notch and I have tried 90% of their menu and not one complaint. I highly recommend this place. My go to drink in the Key Lime Martini yum! Can’t say much about dessert cause I’m too stuffed after dinner to try them.

I’ve dined at My Way quite a few times-I looked at the reviews, and I must say, some of the negative comments seem a bit off base. We have gone there without reservations, and were seated with short to no wait. We’ve gone with groups, and had great times. This lovely Friday evening, we made a reservation, and I was glad, because it looked pretty crowded when we arrived. Self parking in their lot, not a problem. We chose to dine alfresco. Tables are(mostly) under a large canopy-view of the parking lot and Archer Road, but still a good place to enjoy a late summer evening. I am glad to say that there are some moderately priced wines available(in the past, I thought the wines were a bit pricey). We chose a New Zealand sauvignon blanc, wine chiller provided to keep it fresh and cool. Fresh bread, olive oil and cheese on table, server Marianna brought a very garlicy butter spread. Good but strong-use sparingly! Stuffed banana peppers were very tasty, quite a bit of heat to the pepper. Our entrees were Chicken Primavera, which was rich and absolutely delightful. Hubby chose Chicken Saltinboca, which he’s had in the past, and again, was not disappointed, very good flavors. Service was good! My Way is a small operation-we don’t like to be rushed when out for dinner(especially on lovely late summer nights)! We ordered our wine, had a bit of bread, received our appetizer, then the salad/soup, and the entrees. Each course was delivered with a bit of time between-not rushed, just enough time to digest a bit and look forward to the next course. A guy at the next table seemingly did not feel the same way-he told the server that if his food wasn’t ready in five minutes, he was paying for his drinks and leaving! His food came out promptly with apologies from the waitstaff and the owner. We finished the meal with a couple of cappucinos and a Spumoni Bombe-fresh and flavorful spumoni ice cream dipped in a dark chocolate coating-a good portion to split between two. We enjoyed our evening, and will return. If we don’t make it for the outdoor seating season this year, the inside is quite cozy and romantic. :)

Okay. So I have been here twice in the last two weeks. I read the Unilocal reviews before my first vist so I had low expectations. The reviews were right about the owner getting maybe«too involved» and a bit forceful yet he is doing so with good intentions. The food on this first visit with 9 of my good friends on a guys night out was fantastic. Not one guy complained about the food or service. So, tonight I went there with my wife as she was interested to see what this place was all about since I raved about the food So I have to say it was fantastic. The service by Leslie was outstanding!!! Great job Leslie! She was attentive and explained the menu very well and made great suggestions so the food was great I had the veal Marsala which was arguably the best veal I’ve ever had! So needless to say, we will be back and you other nay Sayers… suck it up and stop the snobbery. I’ve been to the finest restaurants in Chicago and this place is a hidden jewel.

Just got back from My Way. There should be different rating for different parts of your dining experience. I would give them 4 stars for food. I have found the quality and taste to be very good. I do like the food. but it pretty much ends there. If you read the reviews the one common thread is the rude ignorant owner. He’s a piece of Euro trash. Upon telling us we had to wait at the bar(no problem I drink) we ordered Rusty Nails. They have no bartenders only waitresses that double as bartenders. The waitress looked at me and said she never heard of that drink. Seeing she was serious we just ordered a Vodka Tonic and Scotch. Just well booze. After getting seated we ordered and were served our salads, the owner(who doubles as the buss boy) was cleaning the dirty plates from another table. He scraped the plates, at our table and piled the plates on our table. He said he needed the room. …WHAT… You clean someones dirty plates at my table while giving them free drinks for being seated late WTF! There were seven people seated and he scraped all there plates I couldn’t believe it. I almost walked out. After finishing our meals I just wanted to get out. I asked for my check and see we were charged for Absolute and Dewers WHATAGAIN! 70 bucks for two dinners, two drinks and a nauseating ignorant owner too cheap to hire a bartender and bussboy. Will never go back!

I took a client here for lunch today. My first time, he’s a regular. We both had the flounder special for the day and I had the fish chowder with it. They were both excellent. The flounder was sautéed with artichoke hearts, chopped olives and cherry tomatoes in what tasted like a vesuvio sauce. Served with risotto and broccoli. The fish chowder was a mix of fish and squid in a tomato based stock. Both portions were very adequate. Service was excellent but there were only about 5 or 6 tables in use. Bill was $ 60 plus tip(no alcohol). I would not hesitate to return.

We went on a Saturday. Restaurant had about three tables seated. The hostess asked if we had reservations. Really? The restaurant is empty. Not a great way to welcome someone. She did seat us but as we were being seated, a gentleman(assuming owner), asked to take our coats. Thanks but it’s cold out and I would like to hang onto mine. OMG. Huge deal. He mumbled some things under his breath like we were going to make him mad and do we think someone is going to steal our coat. Totally not having good vibes about this place. We would’ve walked out but we were hungry and were meeting some friends at the brewery down the road. Food was good. I ordered angel hair with marinara and the Boyfriend ordered 8 finger cavatelli. The bread was good. The prices and portions were reasonable. I asked for a side of meatballs. The waitress said they didn’t have any meatballs. Only sausage. Weird. Whatever. I will not be going back. Too many awesome Italian restaurants in the area that serve meatballs and let me hang onto my coat.

I live nearby this restaurant and have frequented it often. All the waitresses here are wonderful and are very good at what they do. The food has consistently been very good. The restaurant itself is modern, cozy & beautiful. I agree with the comments made about the owner. He’s really the only negative of this place when he’s not at his best. He’s moody, has chauvinistic tendencies and can be abrasive and abrupt at times. If you’re new to the place you may be offended by his lack of charm and hospitality. Since I’m a regular I guess I’m use to his behavior. It’s the friendly waitresses and the delicious food that keeps me coming back.

They say(whoever they are) that timing is everything, that may very well be the case here. The first time we visited this establishment was on a week night for a 5:30PM dinner reservation. The atmosphere was relaxed, cozy and quiet, the service was great and the food was very good. Then we came back again with friends for a 6:30PM dinner reservation on a Saturday evening. We took the very last parking space, the place was packed and the crowd volume level was so high that we were all hoarse from shouting during dinner, our butts were sore from sitting so long and waiting for everything from the first round of beverages to the check 3 hours after we arrived! the food was good but I will restrict my visits to week nights only.

My girlfriends and I chose My Way Ristorante for dinner, my girlfriend knows the owner well, so she wanted us to check it out. Service was great, food was very good, I had the white fish with risotto and veggies which was very tasty good flavors. My friend had the pasta carbonara which was awesome, I am not a huge fan of creamy sauces but a good carbonara you just can’t pass up. Very quaint place and romantic for all the couples to enjoy.
