This is what happens when EMPLOYEES don’t care about the bottom line of the business and offer good service over their personal agenda. I went in the store 2 days ago to look at bikes for me and 4 friends. Today, after speeding from Rockside Rd, in Valley View to their Willoughby location by 5:46pm to purchase at least 2 $ 600+ bikes, we were told upon walking in the door«We are about to close». My response, «you are about to close in 10 minutes, but we are about to buy some bikes.» Within 3 minutes we located the bikes we wanted, and someone comes over and says again, «Sorry guys we are about to close» and my response, «I know, but we would like to buy these bikes». He said, ok I will be right back. Two minutes later, now it’s 5:58pm, I assume the manager comes over and says, «sorry guys, but …», so I stopped him right there and we proceeded to take our business around to Performance Bikes and spent $ 1,349.32 on 2 bikes and a bike seat. I realize the EMPLOYEES there that day don’t care less, but maybe the owner or somebody that cares will read this and teach their employees/team that if your business hours are 10 to 6, then you are open for business until 6pm. And in my world for the sale of a bike or 2, you are closed when that transaction is over!

The saga continues… Damon restores my old Trek 720 to excellent condition. Howard goes out biking and promptly crashes and breaks the fork. Nice huh. So Damon has to try to find a 14 year old fork and when that failed … He took one, milled it, fit it perfectly. Guys a wizard. You need any bike fixed, he’s been doing it since he was a teenager. You want the right bike. Just ask him! Great biking shop with friendly knowledgeable staff.

I really don’t know if they’re great or not because I spent 10 minutes waiting for service and nobody cared to help me. I try to go out of my way to support local bike shops rather than just going to REI online or something, but not when they don’t do anything to earn my business. Two employees stood around and watched me walk around looking confused. I even said«excuse me,» to get them to answer a couple questions I had, but to no avail. I ended up getting what I wanted from the Internet for 2⁄3 the price, despite being fully prepared to spend more to support the local shop due to lack of attention and service. I hope it was just a bad day, but I still have no intention to return to Eddy’s bike shop.

This review is tough for me to write. I loved Eddy’s for awhile there. I recently took my bike in to get new tires. They did a great job with replacing them and did the work while I waited. After the tires were finished, the Nice Boy taking care of me recommended that I replace my rear dérailleur because it had a crack in it and would soon be worthless. I went along with that and he said it may take 2 weeks for repairs to be completed. I was cool with that. After a week, I was itching to ride so I called in to check on the status. Nice Boy said it wasn’t finished yet. 2 hours later, Nice Boy called back and my bike was miraculously finished. I was really, really excited and happy. I went in immediately to pick up my bike. Nice Boy said they bumped me to the top of the list(and they usually do this for anyone that calls to inquire) because I seemed eager to ride. Nice Boy also said they LIKE when you call.(I felt bad for calling and bugging them.) Next morning, I took my bike for a spin. Or rather, TRIED to take my bike for a spin. The rear wheel was not put back on properly. At all. I had no tools to fix this problem, as I was riding around Lakeview Cemetery with a friend. Friend tried to fix bikey for me(since he’s a guy and that’s his job) but no dice. It was pretty much broken. And I was pretty much pissed. So then, because I’m super avoidant(and afraid I will bite Nice Boy’s head off) and because I just can’t deal with fixing this old bike again and spending MORE money on it… I just went out and bought a new bike. But not at Eddy’s. I’m not that rich. Anyway, yeah. Eddy’s has some sweet bikes and a full service shop. Just make sure that you can actually RIDE your bike before you leave the store. I was a dumbass and just assumed that it would have been put back together correctly(after paying nearly $ 100 altogether). Silly me.

Bought a new bike from a «big box» store last fall. Much to my dismay/disappointment my freewheel crapped out on me with less than 250 miles on the bike. Aforementioned store was less than helpful when I called them to discuss the issue, so off I went to Eddy’s! The folks working in this shop are super helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to get me in and out of the store in no time, and although it took over a week to get my bike back, I felt confident that I could safely get back on the road. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Patronize your local shop when you’re looking for a bicycle. Or at least be sure to consider them if you need service!

What a great shop. Today they fixed a recurring problem that my PREVIOUS shop ignored. They always go out of their way to help, whether you bought your bike from them or not. Great service, friendly knowledgeable staff!

pretty sweet little bike store… came here to pick up some accessories since Bike Authority didn’t have much of a selection and walked out with a bunch of new stuff… shorts(great sale!), gloves, a new lock, cycling computer and a great map of the Towpath Trail… who knew that thing went so far south? Good selection in accessories for both men and women. Didn’t check out the bikes too much since we’re not in the market for anything new right now, but they seemed to have a pretty wide variety of all types of bikes and a good number of kid’s bikes too. I’d love to head down and check out their flagship store in Stow, it looks absolutely amazing. I also have to say that their website is one of the better ones out of the local bike shops!

eddy’s bike shop pimped my ride. .no, really, they did. ok, that’s kinda a lie. they gave me new tires. this place is great. really knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they didn’t have my bike for too long. i had the tires done right before winter, and i’ve been aching to get out in nice weather. c’mooooooon spring! you can do it. reasonably priced, too. i had checked around for new tires, and a few places were *considerably* higher than eddy’s. and i wasn’t sure at the first place i went to if the guy even knew what i was talking about. but eddy’s knew exactly what type of tire for my older bike, the type of riding i do, and ones that will *hopefully* last. lots of new bikes to choose from, too, if you’re going that route. highly recommended.
