My shaggy dog was very dry, tasted like they made the tampera shrimp and rice roll yesterday then topped it with the fresh crab and special sauce. The crab salad was really good! The rest of the family was happy with their bowls. The waitress was very friendly. The bill was decent $ 50 for the 4 of us.

What’s not to like about choosing your own meat, veggies, noodles/rice, and sauce. Good amount of choices, especially for the meat.

I ate for the first time at this restaurant on Nov. 1. I asked the waitress if I ordered one of your selections, instead of making my own bowl, if they could customize it a little. She said sure as long as it wasn’t too much. I ordered the Spicy Thai Shrimp and ask for no jalapenos and some scallops instead of all shrimp. She said sure. When the bill arrived we were charged $ 11.95 for that bowl because I added the scallops. No where on the menu were any additional charges for changes mentioned nor did the waitress indicate there would be. I questioned the waitress who knew nothing and asked for the manager. I explained I thought this was unfair cause I could have made a whole bowl of shrimp and scallops and sauce and been charged $ 8.95. I asked him to refund us the difference. His answer was that this was way above his pay grade and he could do nothing about this. I feel this charge of $ 3.00 extra is totally wrong and wrote to the owner. No answer. The food was way overcooked… noodles mushy and no taste. My husband had beef and it was inedible. Very disappointing as I had heard good things about this restaurant. I would avoid.

To be located in a small town they do have yummy yummy food and sushi. They are good fast friendly waiters. It’s nice to go there with or without the kids. Not to fancy but not to up scale. And the prices are very reasonable

I’ve given this place a second chance after my initial terrible experience. Time two was even worst; my boyfriend and I were seated, our drink orders were taken, and then no one came to take our orders… like, at all. The wait staff walked by our table many times without inquiring whether we needed anything. Plus, the restaurant was almost completely empty so it wasn’t a matter of the waiters being busy. Eventually, we walked out, laughing about how bizarre the experience was. This location is a joke.

Ate lunch there today. The yummy yummy bowl is excellent. Hubby ordered the lettuce wrap bowl. Very, very lacking in content and presentation. And, he was served two pieces of lettuce to use for wrapping the tiny amount he was served. We asked for more lettuce and we were informed it would be $ 1.50 for more lettuce. YOUMUSTBEKIDDING!!! Manager was called and she was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Waiter tried but he had to do what he was told. Very slow service too. We did get alittle off our bill since hubby sent most of it back. My last trip there. I’m very tired of bad service, bad food and big priced.

This place can stand alone as, in my most humble opinion, the best restaurant in Willis, TX. We’ve been a handle of times(before I started relying on Unilocal) and have had a fantastic meal every time. This time they upped the ante and gave by far the best service we have ever had here of any other restaurant in Willis! Thanks Halee!!! The décor looks like they’ve tried really hard to make the first impressions the best. As you walk into the lobby it looks slightly exotic, with the lighted glass flooring and dark wood tones. They ask that you wait to be seated but the wait has always been next to none. The inside isn’t the exotic look the entrance is but who cares?! This is some yummy yummy food! They give you menus but we always option for building our own bowls. We paid $ 8.95 for an adult bowl and $ 4.95 for a kids bowl. Kids drinks are also cheaper, just .99 instead of adult drink $ 1.95. You may notice the silver bowl you put your food in is on the small side, but no worries, you can get an extra bowl for just $ 5. On the food bar you have a lot of meats and veggies to chose from. There is crab, shrimp, steak, fish, dark & white meat chicken, and pork. I’m sure I missed one or two. You can also get a egg or two, and there are too many veggies to list. You also get to choose from several sauces and spices at the end of the line. Tell the girl behind the counter if you want rice or noodles, she will give you a # card and you just have a seat back your table and wait for dinner! I haven’t tried the sushi(not a fan of it in general, I’ve heard good things about it here) so I can’t speak personally on it. There is also a full bar available.

I determined this was the best non-fast food restaurant in this area because from my experience driving through to get to Houston had very few options. I was surprised that I did like it as much as I did and if I had to stop again in this area I’d chose this place. The interior is clean and comfortable. There’s a full bar to sit at and a sushi bar towards the back. The waitresses are polite and quick. I ordered the ahi tower which was satisfactory but I was not a fan of the rice to tuna ratio. My bf had the yummy yummy bowl and he liked it. I had a bite and it was not bad. If this restaurant was in Dallas however I’m not sure I’d be giving it 3 stars. But I did because in the location it’s probably one of the best choices. One star for the good service, one star for the food and another for atmosphere. Not my typical rating scale but I think an adaptation here is reasonable.

The first time we visited our waiter forgot my green salad and tried to charge me for it. The girl that works behind the hibachi grill grabbed cream cheese with her bare hands and smeared it in a bowl for a customer. We decided to overlook our first experience and give it a try again. This time the same employee with the cream cheese fingers was eating leftover food off a customer’s plate that had just left. She saw me looking at her and quickly threw the food in the trash. She went directly back behind the hibachi counter without washing her hands. I don’t think we will ever go back!

I get the shaggy dog every time I go it’s always prepared differently. I even had a server argue with me about what kind of bowl I wanted. He literally insisted I got something different than what I had order so I didn’t even get a bowl. Just the sushi.

I will start off with saying that every time we have come in we have had great service. The bowls are build your own or you can order a pre-determined theme. So you don’t have to worry about knowing what or how much goes in the bowl to make it taste great. For instance I have ordered the Mongolian BBQ bowl, my choice of protein. My wife gets the Vegetarian with a pineapple spice sauce. They are very good. The sushi tastes good but once again they suffer from making rolls way oversized and by no means can be eaten in a bite. I mean big, like 3 + inches in diameter.

I came at 3:00 on a Friday. There were a couple people here. I ran into an old friend from HS who took my drink order immediately. Edamame was fresh and hot! Used another reviewers suggestion and got the Texas Express! It was delicious!!! It was smoked salmon, cream cheese, jalapeño and crab all rolled in sushi paper then tempura on the outside! Amazing! Great service and I will be back again!

No sushi because the person who does it is on break. I’m…at a sushi location that has no one else… just baffled. This is basically a management/business issue therefore my rating reflects that. My crab salad was ok… parking was mediocre bc of construction.

I have driven by this place many, many times and never stopped in. The atmosphere is very nice. Our server/bartender Daniela I believe is her name was perfect. My daughters Mongolian bowl that she made was cooked just right. The sushi was very delicious and very presentable. The $ 30 I spent on 2 rolls and my kiddos bowl was more than worth it. Stop by on a Sunday, happy hour all day.

I love this place. The food is wonderful– fresh and tasty. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. For me, best of all is the fact that I know exactly what goes into the food. This is a big issue for me, since I have diabetes. I skip sauces, use spices, and they cook it with soy sauce. Also, instead of noodles or rice, for me, they use sprouts. A tasty, nutritious meal, without raising my blood sugar!

The service and management is lacking tremendously here. You need to have extreme patience when eating here. It took 7 minutes for a waitress to even come to the table. Once our bowls were finally ready they sat at the serving station for 5 minutes as we watched the waitresses try and figure out which bowl belongs to which customer. They finally brought 2 bowls to our table and asked me to look at which was mine. They really do have great food. I hope their staff picks up!

This place was a big surprise. Full bar, great sushi and awesome stir fry bowls. Try it just once because this may be one of the best new restaurants in Willis. Update:**** READ!!! Place seems to be poorly managed now since opening. Always dirty floors, dirty dishes in hall near restroom and nasty smelly restrooms. Please clean your restaraunt!!!

Had the rainbow roll, salmon avocado roll, and Mongolian bowl. Mongolian food was very good with fresh ingredients. The sushi was poor quality with 3/8″ of rice. Way too much to enjoy, and the manager declined to refund the amount or apologize because I ate part of it. Awkward.
