Exceptional service, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and everything tastes fresh. The food was great, especially the hibachi dinners. If you haven’t been here, I encourage you to check it out. I can’t say enough about how great the service was.

I first discovered the amazing-ness of Mongolian barbecue two decades ago in Cleveland, OH and have been craving it ever since. I was so excited when another Unilocaler mentioned MoMo’s. If you’ve never been to a Mongolian barbecue you need to try it. Just picture salad bars filled with meats, vegetables, noodles, sauces and anything else you could possibly think to put in a stir fry. You fill up a big bowl and then the chef cooks it for you on a hibachi type grill. It’s amazing. The food at MoMo’s is fabulous. Great for vegetarians and meat lovers alike because you choose your own ingredients. They also have a menu with sushi and other food, which I’m sure is just as good, but honestly I was distracted by the Mongolian barbecue. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is really large but has a nice atmosphere.

Make your own Mongolian Bbq from the widest assortment of options I have ever seen at such an establishment. It’s up to you how good your meal is but if you don’t like it you can get back in line and try again. Clean neat efficient delicious fun. Perfect execution of the concept. Plus unlike other Mongo joints they also have sushi, full restaurant menu, and full service bar.

This is awesome place for meat lovers! Buffet is nice and neat, for not so much eaters they offer menu options and sushi bar which is located in separate room. I love the experience although be prepared to wait a long time to be served and to get a refill of water or rice. Cooks are great, they fry meat and veggies as needed. For vegetarians there is a raw veggie bar along with Tofu and different spices, so definitely worth money and time!

I want to start by saying that I don’t WANT to give this place 4 stars. The service is NOT worth 4 stars. It’s not. And you can defend that by saying something like«Buffets are always bad with service» and you’d be correct, which is why I’m not giving MoMo 2-stars. It’s still crap service though, so be prepared. I AM giving this place 4-stars because the do it yourself mongolian grill is done RIGHT. Tons of options for protein, enough veggies to satisfy even a vegetarian, and a fair amount of sauces and sauce combos and spices to make every one of your 10 or 12 trips back and forth a new flavor adventure. I’ve been back a couple times because it’s nice to curate your own dinner without having to prep or cook it yourself but honestly, if this place ever wants to make decent money, they need to hire some decent servers.

Thank you Unilocal Elite members for writing about this place. I went in their opening week and was so happy with my experience here! Let me start with this little anecdote. About 10 years ago, I visited my sister in Evanston, IL and she took me to the most wonderful stir fry place in all of existence. It was within walking distance from her apartment and they had huge buffet tables of raw ingredients with happy wait staff and modern relaxing décor and hand painted recipes on the wall for stir fry suggestions. I ate the heck out of that place and vowed to return again and again. Well — as fates would have it, I never got to go back, and that place was a distant memory. But MoMo — you brought my dreams back to reality! The décor is a little early millinium-y and the place feels a bit kitschy with the laminate tables and the harsh lighting but the food experience is the same! I expect the feel to get better as the restaurant fills up with patrons — and I certainly hope they do. The experience here is incredibly cheap for what is offered with unlimited seafood and meat setup with fresh asian vegetables. Only thing I would suggest — and I find myself suggesting this a lot at DIY places — offer some more recipes and suggestions for those who are new to the cuisine and may not understand what they heck they are supposed to do with pineapples or shredded cabbage in a vegetable lineup. Make up some sauce recipe so they are not daunted with ladles in vats of mirin and sesame oil. Make up cute names for the recipes and have them posted throughout the restaurant — perhaps at the tables themselves — and not just at the raw station. Home cooks out there may love the customizable options, but it’s also neat to try flavors that you otherwise hadn’t thought about putting together before! Really neat cooking environment. Would suggest you bring a couple dollars so you can tip the cook — thank goodness I had a few in my wallet!

Really great service — food ingredients were fresh and quality and overall taste was great! We also tried the sushi chef in the back area and he made us an order of custom dynamite roll and it was one of the best we’ve had. The service and friendliness is really what stood out though. We will definitely come back here again.

My fiancée and I came here during Local Restaurant Week. We’ve been eyeing their menu for awhile and the special was the perfect excuse to finally check out the place. We split one LRW special, which came with mushroom soup, a carrot ginger salad, hibachi veggies, and steak. We also split a half order of spicy crab rolls and a full order of Alaskan rolls. The sushi was pretty good. It was fresh and yummy. Still, the rolls were cut very thin, making it feel like one roll wasn’t enough to fill your mouth. Compared to other places like Kuni’s and Seabar, the sushi was just okay. As for the rest of the meal, it was decent, as well. Their carrot-ginger dressing was good, but tended toward«savory» instead of «sweet». The steak was a little over-cooked, which is to be expected at most hibachi places given the cubes into which it is cut during the cook process. Service was fast and friendly, although my glass of water was emptied quickly and never refilled. I still want to go back to try the Mongolian buffet, which is their signature experience. There is a bar full of raw, fresh ingredients that patrons pile into bowls and take up to a large hibachi grill to be cooked. It looks like a lot of fun and was obviously popular.

Fun. Really fun to pick your fresh meats, veggies and sauces and see the chef prepare it for you instantly! My daughter loved the chicken teriyaki bento box ! By mistake they brought out beef teriyaki for her at first. It took a few minutes to correct the order. But they were quick to fix the error. Maybe $ 14.95 is a little high for the grill but it is all you can eat. Lots of seafood. Veggies were great. I think we will return. Yum Oh yes the service is prompt, professional and friendly. Good to know. You don’t want to go out to eat and receive rude or inattentive service.

Decided to check this gem out for date night! Oh, it was a gem alright. The place is extremely clean and beautiful. Nothing id expect from a buffet scene. I was greeted by the nicest staff. An older man took the time out to explain to us how this buffet works. It is NOT your ordinary 3 – 4 aisles of cooked greasy food. It has a small section of sliced raw meat(chicken, pork, beef, squid, sausage, shrimp, and imitated crab meat); a section for vegetables; noodles; sauces. You would grab a bowl and fill it with any ingredients and then take it over to the chef who cooks it on an open grill. Similar to hibachi. Can’t comment on the taste. All ingredients are raw. It’s YOUR job to flavor your food with the sauces and spices. They do have written recipes for their special sauces so that’s nice. The buffet is $ 14.95. It is a small selection but definitely worth a try. It’s fun to create your own food. They also have a different menu for sushi and appetizers/entrees that come straight from the kitchen. And an extremely extensive drinks menu. Go check it out !!!

This place is amazing!!! We had the Mongolian buffet. Everything is neat and clean, and what I liked is that the meats are frozen, so it’s not like they have been sitting out all day/night. Any combination you make turns out amazing!!! The staff are very nice and friendly. Will definitely come back again and again :)

The first time I went here it was great… However, the second time I went here was enough to be the last. I’ve had bad service before… I’ve never had FORGOTTEN service. The waitress asked us if we’d like any appetizers… We said yes the crab rangoons please… Guess what we never received? The crab rangoons! We ordered 2 sodas, crab rangoons, and the buffet… How is it that hard to bring out 3 items! I do the rest for my meal… Totally annoyed by that situation.

Thank you Robin T. for introducing me to this place. Now I know why she was so enthusiastic to bring me here. That was just Wednesday night and I have already passed along the good word to several other people. So I guess it’s time to get on to that Unilocal review. Good for: a date night, groups, or any type of social/fun get-together. Everything about my experience here was just fantastic. To begin, we received a warm and friendly welcome from everyone in the place. Now, Robin has been a regular here so I’m sure that plays a part but still, nice to see that kind of hospitality. The buffet is unlimited and only $ 14.95! I was even more thrilled when I got to the buffet to find a wide variety of meats, seafood, and fresh veggies. There were also some choices for noodles and many sauces to choose from. So you make your bowl up and bring your choices to the grill for them to cook up right there in front of you. We also ordered some sushi to share which was absolutely beautiful and equally delicious.(SEEPIC) The chef later came to our table to see how we liked our sushi. It was apparent that he really takes pride in his work. I went for a smaller round two at the grill buffet. My first plate was quite enjoyable but being overwhelmed with the choices, I had stuffed my bowl with a little bit of almost everything. I wanted to try a more thoughtful combination. There were just so many possibilities. We closed with some green tea ice cream. There were a few other options for dessert as well. The evening was so much fun and the overall experience just top notch. I can’t wait to come back with more friends!

Western New York has never had a real Mongolian Place that I know of. Mongolian style cooking was usually only avaialble in the Chinese all you can eat buffets and it was usually done on a regular flat top frying surface. But never a real circular Mongolian style grill with cooks mixing the food and cooking it using wands. The meat and vegetable selection is awesome with no shortage of every type of sauce you could imagine. Add to that a great sushi chef who will hand-make some great sushi. I had a simple $ 5 Philly roll, and it was the biggest philly roll I have ever seen, especially for only $ 5. The prices for the all you can eat Mongolian are very competitive with lunch being around $ 10 for an adult and dinner around $ 14 for an adult with many more seafood options available at dinner. If you like Mongolian style then this is a place you want to visit. If you have never had it, then I highly suggest checking it out as it will probably become one of your favorite styles of asian food. I rarely, if ever, give 5 stars to any restaurant. This one deserved every star and then some.

I haven’t had such excellent service since my last time at Teton Kitchen. These people take the customer experience to the next level. Our server was so accommodating and took the time to explain all the buffet food choices and how to mix some of the house«sauces»(this was an awesome part of the meal as you can mix and match the sauce you want based on a large number of choices at the buffet or experiment, and the selections are arranged sweetest to hottest) So many choices. I had 2 plates from the buffet. The first was a mix of beef and sausage with cabbage, Bok Choy, bean sprouts, noodles etc. I made the house«Hot and Sizzler» and took my food to the traditional Mongolian round grill to be cooked. Then the show begins. The chef used 2 large sword shaped Mongolian spatulas to move the food around(verified they have no other name than spatula). This was a similar experience to hibachi grilling but bereft of all the showmanship. When done it’s time to dig in. The food itself was grilled heaven, peppers were al dente, the beef was tender and flavorful, the sausage was good, but the crab and salmon were my favorite. So succulent, so delicious. My second time around i made it with the«Sun Sauce». The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and there were at least 3 sections I could see present. The first is the lounge and bar, the second a diner style seating featuring the large buffet and grill area, and the last was the sushi bar. The sushi bar was gorgeous to say the least. It had 3 party rooms available around it, that had Japanese style bamboo paper doors that could be closed for privacy. This was my first Mongolian experience and it blew my mind. My wife and I have found another favorite restaurant.

I grew up going to Twin Dragon, a beautiful traditional Mongolian restaurant in Anchorage Alaska. As I got older and learned that Mongolians and Tibbetians are one of the same, I learned a new level of love for this specific style of food. Mongolian Grill food is not the normal everyday traditional food, but was a style created there that is delicious, fun and creative. So in saying this I wish to share a saying the Mongolians say about their meals. They say breakfast is for yourself, lunch is to be shared with friends and dinner with your enemy. I had to share because I always found that interesting. Now I have found a place that brings my two favorite foods together, Mongolian Grill with Sushi and Japanese fare. Their section of Proteins is huge! Beef, pork, chicken, scallops, crap, salmon, shrimp, bacon, etc. They have a lovely selection of fresh veggies to choose from and a wide pasta selections from udon noodles to rigitoni and several sauces to make your dish complete. Our waiter showed us a few different house combinations to try and of course you can always just make up your own like I do. The men at the grill were sweet and it is always fun to see them grill up the food on a huge wok. They had a few other sauces to add post cooking like peanut sauce, yum yum sauce and siracha. I happily took my plate in anticipation to see if it was all I remember growing up and OHMYGOD, WASIT! I had an immediate foodgazm and new we had made a perfect choice! We accented this wonderful hearty meal with a Sapporo and a ice water. Even with my bird like stomache I went back for seconds. The second as amazing as the first. After our wonderful meal I ordered the green tea ice cream and it was to die for. It was smooth and lite with a palate cleansing after taste. The ice cream had small amounts of green tea rice cake in it and was a perfect finish to a perfect long awaited meal. After our dessert I talked with the staff and they showed me around as the place was huge and not very busy, being closing time. All their rooms are amazing and with $ 14.95 for all you can eat mongolian is a great place for a party, business meeting or a get together with friends. The front room is Mongolian Styled with a beautiful solid wood bar and wonderful ambiance to enjoy some cocktails and wonderful food in a more sheik yet comfortable environment with couches and small tables by the bar and a big screen tv, the main dinning room has a slightly more traditional dinning feeling and their Sushi Bar had a gorgeous traditional Japanese feel with three private rooms. One being the geisha room the other being the Samurai rooms. It was breath taking. As we left we spoke to Mia the owner of both Shogun and Sun Mongolian Restaurant and informed us that she will be taking a new name soon. When they transition to the new name completely it will be called Momo’s Mongolian Grille, but nothing else will be changing. Please come out and support this awesome business and enjoy a decently priced meal and drink in a beautiful atmosphere. It is a 10 in my book! .

Went here for all you can eat Mongolian barbecue. They had just about every possible option of meat, fish, veggie, noodle, and sauce. I got two different kinds and both were delicious. The meat was really fresh and I love that you can make your own creation. My parents got sushi and said it was the best in Buffalo. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Had a good experience and will definitely come again!

We decided to try this restaurant because we were out on Transit Rd, and the idea of Mongolian BBQ was intriguing. The restaurant is huge, with many different areas, so I bet you will always be able to get in. The bar area was deserted on Tuesday evening, but it looked like it had some very comfortable places to sit and grab a drink. We actually looked at the Mongolian BBQ station, which was impressive.($ 14.95 for«all you can eat»). But in the end we ordered sushi, and it was very good. The server told us if we knew we wanted sushi the next time we came we could sit in the Sushi Area of the restaurant. We stuck our heads in and that space was really very nice, and probably quieter. They also had a few small PRIVATE rooms for parties etc. We will definitely return soon.

Sun’s Mongolian is a great place to eat delicious food at a great price. For those of you who don’t know what Mongolian BBQ is, it’s a buffet-style restaurant. You can choose which type of protein you want(my favorite is squid and shrimp!), choose your vegetables, and then choose from the many choices of sauce. There are also some pre-made sauces for the beginners(Hot and Sizzler is the best!!). After that, you hand over the bowl to the cook and cooks the food right in front of you! Don’t forget to put some peanuts on top! The best part is that after you’re done, you can go the the food bar and get some more! There are endless combination to try. The staff are great and really helpful!
