Fish fry is so fresh, not a oily batter very light, absolutely delicious !’ Owe it to yourself, reservations are suggested, got there early but as night progressed it got busy Only have had one bad meal so far, the house burger! Not what I expected, big burger, only tomato and lettuce? That one I will not have again

My boyfriend took me here for the first time ever, he lives nearby and we didn’t want to travel far for a meal that night so he suggested this place. Came in around 7−8ish for dinner, no wait. This place is warm and inviting, feels a bit like home! Staff is friendly, you will notice there are regulars(couples) who come in and have dinner or a drink at the bar. Our server pleasantly greeted us and we ordered a couple of beers, the beer list does offer a good selection so there surely is something for everyone. They do have weekly specials and they serve fish frys all week long, they do seem to be known for their fish frys. We started with the Artichoke appetizer on the regular menu, it’s probably my all time favorite food in this area now. Flavorful, buttery and tangy, do yourself a favor and get it! I then ordered the tossed pasta that was on the specials menu, HUGE portion, lots of shrimp in there as well! My boyfriend got a Cesar salad that he enjoyed. We will certainly be back soon for another dinner or possibly lunch!

This place is fan-freaking-tastic. Most recently I came on Sunday afternoon around 2:15 with Papa Bear and my Step-Mom. They had just gone to dinner there on Friday, and had learned that they did live music on Sundays from 2 – 5. There were two guys playing both sang, one was on guitar, the other had bongos and also a harmonica. They both were incredibly good. It was really relaxing and such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We walked in and it was decently crowded but we walked up to the bar to get a few beers. They know the bartender, so we got our beers right away. They have drafts of Founders IPA, which I was more than thrilled about. After 25 minutes or so we decided to get a seat and order food. My dad ordered the calamari to start us off,(it comes with a red sauce), and I thought it was very yummy. I ordered the gouda burger for my meal and holy cow. Burger pun intended. It was incredible. Generally, when I go out to eat, I cut a burger in half and take half of it home. I cut it in half… and I ate the entire thing. Along with hand-cut fries. It was so good and the bacon was perfectly crispy. I could not have been more satisfied. My dad & step-mom loved their food as well! This place is around the corner from my house so I’m really excited to continue coming here. It will be especially nice in the summer when we can walk here… and then stumble home! X’s and O’s! J

Glen Park Tavern is a nice, easy walk for us. That means it’s easy to walk there, get drunk, and then walk home after. Glen Park is consistent in all ways. Service is consistently friendly and personable, even though it’s not always perfect from a technical standpoint. We’ve had a few appetizers forgotten and drinks mixed up, but everyone is friendly enough to not have the mix-up detract from the overall experience. The wings here are great, but the lobster bisque is AMAZING. I always get a bowl along with a side salad. Fish fries are also yummy and huge. The drink selection is okay. I can always find something I want, even though the draft list is fairly generic. They’re one of the only bars in the area to offer Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. I think the stuff tastes like someone mixed cough drops into a bottle of beer, but my boyfriend loves the stuff, so I’ll give them a thumbs up for making him happy.

Food was good. Service was very slow, albeit friendly.(We were there for 2 hours to get one appetizer, 2 sandwiches and 1 dessert.) We were quite surprised that the open-faced steak sandwich was $ 22.00 when we finally received the bill. The price on the menu was missing and the server did not let us know when we ordered how expensive it would be. It wouldn’t have been a problem, but it was way above the cost of the other beef sandwiches… and definitely not big enough to justify such a steep price. There was even a $ 2.00 up-charge for fries. Don’t think we’ll return.

I like Glen Park Tavern… a lot! It is an old school pub vibe, in the heart of Williamsville Village that has been open, and operating since 1887. Yes, that is correct, I said 1887. Glen Park Tavern is a great little place to pop into if you are craving a burger, amazing stuffed peppers, or a nice bubbly crock of French Onion Soup. The bar scene here always seems to be quite lively, and filled with locals, and familiar faces — think the tv show Cheers :) Whenever I go in, there same to be some of the same people sitting at the same stools, with smiling faces. Overall, this is my local go to for a really good burger(which doesn’t happen all that often), and as I said, I love the stuffed peppers and a good olé crock of french onion soup. Even though salad is not my reasoning for ever going to the tavern, I have had a their Cobb Salad a few times, and it is exactly what one would expect from a Cobb Salad, so know that you won’t be disappointed.

The place has a old time charm, especially the guy hand carving the meat. The restaurant was darker than I like but it is a tavern so it makes sense. Menu was varied with pub food. We had the lobster bisque that came recommended. It was pretty good, flavor and texture. Had the Garrison — rare with spinach and provolone. I thought the price missing was just an error but I should have known better. $ 24 later. Even though it was filet it came with no sides so it was a bit overpriced in comparison Hubs had the Big Beef on Weck and while it was hand carved, it can’t go up against some of the other guys in the business. The server was very attentive and friendly so no complaints there.

I have tried to find something that is bad on the menu. I can’t. Everything is fresh and tasty. Has something for everyone. Wings are particularly large and good. This is upscale pub food. Gets very busy on weekends. Great value. The one bartender can get testy, but he means no harm.

We have been going here for years. They always have an amazing beer selection– I can always count on some great seasonals. My standard is usually the hot turkey sandwich, but I will try the specials every now and then. I’ve never had a bad meal here and we go here A LOT!

I enjoy going to Glen Park Tavern. I think I found it originally through Unilocal, and have come to find my own favorites on their menu. If you’re looking for some truly great hand carved beef or turkey, this is the place. My preferred items on the menu are the Turkey Club Sandwich, the Hot Open Roast Beef, and the Beef on Weck with Au Jus. After discovering these delightful dishes, I haven’t veered too far from them. Stop in, you’ll be glad you did.

Nice little bar and grill. Staff is peasant enough. Food is okay. The burgers are normal, I wouldn’t really recommend them. The fish fry was good but the tarter sauce was bland. I will necessarily recommend the place, but if you’re a local it’s a nice place to stop into.

Glen Park Tavern is just a great all around place where you’ll always get a terrific meal. We travel to the Buffalo and Williamsville area several times each year and Glen Park Tavern is a must place for us! The fish fry is amazing. Fresh Haddock, fresh made hand cut fries And cole slaw is a standard order for me! The wings are excellent and if you’re looking for a Beef in Weck their’s is very very good! Homemade soups and a great selection of brews Are available. The owner and the entire waitstaff are helpful and friendly. Couldn’t feel more welcome. A great meal And a great value!

Glen Park Tavern seems to be a very popular location spot — both for pub food and meeting up for a drink after work. I had dinner here with a co-worker and wasn’t super impressed with the food quality vs. the price. The interior is cozy and casual — definitely the«olde tavern» feel, though the carpet needs cleaning and our table was kind of sticky. The menu has a wide variety of things, from seafood to sandwiches or salads so pretty much everyone should be able to find something they like. I started with a glass of wine — I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular but for $ 8/glass, it should be drinkable. I don’t know if I had the dregs of an old bottle, but it tasted like straight vinegar. Our waitress told us they’re known for hand carved meat and said the turkey special was really good($ 16.50). I went for it and was sad to get a plate of processed lunch meat. For that price, I’d expect something that came off of an actual bird at one point. Very salty, very much not good. On the plus side, our server was really nice and attentive. Would I go back? Maybe, but I’d stick to something like a burger & beer.

Good food, but we came at «shift change» which I will blame for the second bartender completely ignoring us. We finally got up from the bar and asked to be seated at a table. From there things improved dramatically, but we were still put off by how blatantly we were ignored.

I arrived here on a busy Sunday around 3pm. They share a parking lot with other local businesses and restaurants, it can be difficult to find a spot during the day. I managed to grab one on their side of the lot towards the back, it was not ideal but it was close enough and the sun was shining this winter day. The tavern was packed for a Sunday. There was a live band taking up a few of the center tables. The Irish music was fun, but it was clear that the waiting patrons desired to be seated and served. I interrupted the first server who walked by and asked how long the wait for 2 would be. To my surprise he said that he did have 1 table in the corner, walked us through the establishment, and seated us towards the back. I thanked him, and sat down to enjoy the peacefulness of this table. My friend and I ordered drinks and then chatted for a bit while we waited for our waiter to return to take our orders. We both settled on wraps, placed our order, and went back to chatting. For how busy the restaurant was I found that our table provided us enough quiet to talk comfortably. Food was served rather quickly and each wrap came with sweet potato fries. The fries seemed to be fresh cut but I did not ask. The wraps were good, nothing special, and although enjoyable they felt slightly overpriced for what they were. I suppose those extra few dollars were us paying up for the atmosphere and live music? Total cost for 2 was just under $ 40 with tip, not bad! The tavern itself feels cozy. It has high back wooden booths, stained wood features throughout, and a friendly staff. On a less busy day it might be a nice place to enjoy a few drinks at the bar. Overall the experience was enjoyable, enough so that I would like to venture back in the future.

Was visiting from outta town, and remembered being here a few times. Service was good, potato pancakes TOPNOTCH! I had the broiled yellow pike(buffalo-eeze for walleye). It was cooked pretty good, but didnt care for the taste. I tried an end piece and it was super fishy. So, sent it back. They were ok with it, and bent over backwards to rectify. Beer was cold and ok, but thought $ 4.50 for a pint of Labatts Blue Light draft was a bit pricey. Bar are was nice and bright, great tv’s, good bartender service.

I’m glad I can positively update my review from a few years ago. Came in tonight for dinner. First off, I need to mention that since the last time I was here, they have done some renovations. One of the MAJOR improvements I noticed tonight was the change in awfully loud background noise. It’s so much calmer here. Sounds better, still a little loud but sooooo much improved! The last time I had been here the noise was unbearable, so the improvements are much appreciated and have made a great difference. I ordered French Onion soup and a beef on weck, the bigger portion of 8oz. Instead of getting chips or fries, I got a side salad. Everything was really good! The French Onion was a decent size, only one size available. The flavor was very good– salty, a tad sweet. I’m thinking they probably use sherry in their recipe. Ample cheese broiled on top too. Croutons were small and really nothing significant. Though it was good, I thought it was very pricey at $ 6.50/crock. My side salad was good. Ranch dressing as well. I’m glad this was an option since I wasn’t feeling fries or chips. My beef on weck was HUGE! I have always liked their BOW, but it seems maybe it’s changed a bit. The biggest change I noticed was that it’s served on a Costanzo’s weck roll. This particular roll was a bit dry(I’m guessing not very fresh) and I think their beef needs a daintier roll. Since the beef is so abundant and good, it’s like a really good hamburger even. The meat is the star of the show. Let it shine. Don’t plunk it on a heavy roll. It made the whole sandwich dry. I like that serve this with a hot cup of au jus. It definitely needs the liquid. 8oz of beef was a bit too much for me too. Next time I will stick to 6oz. By the time I ate all of that, I was so terribly full. I did try a small piece of fish fry and the fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender! I remember now, they use cod, which tends to be a wetter fish than haddock, a firmer and drier fish, and my preference. But the batter, OMG!!! It’s amazing! Tempura-like in texture. Like a light pillowy cloud surrounding the soft fish. So delicious! I’m so glad GPT has improved their noise issue. I ordered from here for lunch one day when I was working in the neighborhood. Got the Turkey & Brie sandwich and it was delicious! Beautifully melty and grilled on really good pumpernickel rye. Oh man, it might be one of my favorite sandwiches ever.
