First off let me say I have been here Many times over the past 2 – 3 years and this recent visit will 100% be the last time I will ever come here. This visit was horrendous beginning with the service to the prices of alcohol and food. We came in with a group of about 8 of us and the entire time we felt as if they didn’t want our business. It was a slow evening and the service was still somehow slow and not friendly. This restaurant also has an open area that you can see into the kitchen while pizzas are being made. If you have an open kitchen you should make sure the employees understand common cleanliness and need to be wearing gloves while handling fresh dough and ingredients instead of giving high fives to customers and continuing to make the food barehanded. I also happened to order a round of Jose Cuervo gold which used to be $ 3 a shot about 6 – 8 months ago. The price raised which I understand and when I asked our waitress she said the shots are either $ 4.50 or $ 5 now. I was okay with this and ordered 6 shots for us friends. Once I get my bill i see each shot is $ 6.50. Truthfully i wasn’t worried how expensive they were but more upset about the response once I asked her why she quoted what she did and charged a different amount. Her response was«I was only a couple dollars off big deal.» This shocked me and it is a couple dollars multiplied by 6 which is more than a meal alone should cost. The waitress throughout the evening was slow and rude and she single handedly made me confirm that I will NEVER be returning here and as a local business owner in Williamsburg, VA I will ensure to never recommend them either to any friends or family members. This used to be a GREAT spot to have some pizza and good drinks but have completely been removed off my radar unless some major restaffing and changes are made.

After waiting twenty minutes to sit, we ordered pizzas and waited thirty-five minutes for it to show up at our table. After waiting for twenty five minutes, our server came back and told us they were out of mushrooms, so my vegetarian sister had to choose another vegetable… Of which there were two to choose from– one of which did not appear on the pizza. The«pizza» brought me back to a childhood memory of a church Seder supper, unleavened bread, anyone? Not only was the crust thin, it was inedible, tasting like a horrible experiment in mixing cardboard and tough cracker-rubber. This we paid good money for. I have eaten pizza at the worst possible dives in America and Europe, and yet, this was truly the most disgusting, horrid pizza I have ever attempted to chew/digest. While the service was simply ok, we had to ask for napkins and utensils, the atmosphere was inviting. I wish I had sprung for the two dollar pitcher of beer and the cookie instead of the matzah pizza. If this is the best that Williamsburg has to offer, I am simply glad I don’t live here. Good luck, college kids!

It was ok. The kids didn’t care for the pizza or the nachos. I also kept hearing from our waitress, I’m sorry we don’t have this or that regarding items on the menu. It was said to us a few times and other tables too. Wish they had a larger beer selection.

We went there on a Wednesday night for ½ off traditional pizza night. The place was packed so we were excited to try their pizza. By the time we ordered we ended up waiting for an hour for our pizza’s to come as we watched other customers who arrived later than us get their food and leave before we even received ours. By the time they came, we had to leave to get to a previous engagement. A couple of the pizza’s were cold. A couple were small and a couple were burnt. The waitress apologized for the wait but there was no explanation why.

Kicked us out of our table because we only wanted drinks not food. Sorry we wanted to spend 100 $ on drinks and not 10 on pizza. Bye.

It was Homecoming weekend at William & Mary and I was rolling deep with my homies. As I do. We were looking to have a few drinks and enjoy ourselves on the patio so when we didn’t see a hostess, we sat ourselves. A very unfriendly man approached us and asked if we planned to eat. When we replied that we were just drinking, he told us we had to sign up on «the list» for a table and couldn’t sit to drink. The bar was full so I’m not sure where he expected us to go. I was going to buy three shots of Rumple Minze but apparently money for liquor isn’t welcome here. It’s unfortunate because we’re rich. We went to the neighboring bar, the Green Leafe, instead and spent over $ 100 per person and had a great time. Too bad the Crust wasn’t interested in paying customers — I guess they don’t understand how business works. I won’t be coming back for two reasons: 1. This place has terrible customer service and 2. I don’t live here.

The pizza was really good and my waiter was outstanding! Next time I’m in Williamsburg and want pizza, I’d return without question.

So not impressed and what I dislike even more is a restaurant that over charges. 1. The waitress was very nice. However she was missing in action half the time. They were clearly prepping for a dinner rush and most of the wait staff were in the back making pizza boxes. Annoying. 2. I ordered the seafood pasta dish. It was $ 16.00 and came in a bowl ½ the size it needed to be. The dish had 4 shrimp and was supposed to have crab. I had to move around the pasta a lot to see any crab. There was probably a tablespoon at best. The sauce was ok but I could have used a little more. It came with two slices of bread with NOTHING on it and it was very dry. Had I had more sauce on the pasta I would have been able to dip but there was no extra sauce. 4 shrimp and a bunch of spaghetti ISNOT A $ 16 dish. Sorry kids. 3. I asked for a glass with my Stella Cidre and apparently that was a tough order. It took 10 minutes and we were one of two table in the entire place and the other table was being serviced by another waitress. I wanted another beer but she came and went so fast from our table, I never got the chance to ask. 4. The pizza was very good but $ 11 for a 12″ pepperoni personal pizza is a little expensive.

Awesome pizza! The crust is perfect … Lite and crispy! Tuesday and Wednesday $ 6 Cheese, Bianca or Margherita pizza! $ 1 beers(Rolling Rock, PBR, and a few others). We had Spinach and Portabella pizza, cheese and bacon pizza and the Barnacle pizza… All excellent!

Okay so we just tried The Crust and i HAVE to review it. There is not a bad thing I can say about this place. The staff is friendly. The dining area is clean. The décor is creative and adorable. The pricing is VERY reasonable. And most importantly the food is delicious. Our server Anne was a very sweet and attentive. A young man who’s name i didn’t catch also came by to check on us. My fiancé got the Bianca pizza and it was mouth wateringly good. And I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was also very good. This was the first restaurant we’ve tried in Williamsburg and we were not disappointed.

We came in for lunch here yesterday during our tour of Colonial Williamsburg. We ordered the quattro formaggio pizza with gorgonzola, a mixed greens salad with tomato/mozzarella, and Baby2 had a bowl of spaghetti with fennel sausage. The pizza was really good. Great crust. Baby1 didn’t really enjoy the gorgonzola on it, though she is usually a fan of gorgonola and blue cheeses. Baby2 loved his spaghetti with fennel sausage, enough so he was willing to overlook the fact that we did not include with his pasta his usual meatball. The salad, by itself, was amazing. Ask for the dressings on the side. The olive oil was very good dipping for the crust, but the pesto and the reduced balsamic were overly sugary(reduced balsamic obviously, but the pesto threw us off). A great lunch spot, and our waitress was wonderful even though she was slammed with back-to-back parties of 10 at the adjacent table.

Service from Karen was amazing! We started with drinks… which were definitely priced right and mixed well. Every restaurant/bar should follow their lead on drink prices! $ 5 for vodka is a more than fair price. The salad was off the chain with the citrus vinaigrette. The pizza was perfect. I am crispy thin crust lover and they nailed it. Perfect portions and prices. If your visiting Williamsburg The Crust is a must

Located near the college this was a great stop for lunch. I enjoyed the vegan cheese and the crust, which is an apt name for this place. They fired the pizzas very well. My sister didn’t like how well done hers was so they replaced it for free. Service wasn’t five stars, especially since they weren’t all that busy. My mom loved the Bianca pizza and through our whole trip wanted to go back for more.

This has become my favorite bar hangout in Williamsburg. The drinks here are the cheapest in town and are pretty strong. The outdoor patio is awesome; this past weekend there was a local band playing outside that made for a fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the staff is consistently solid. Obviously the crowd is heavily college, but I’m OK with that– I can pass for a grad student :-)
