Loved it! The food was excellent. There was a chef working at the time named Jennalise who had prepared my meal, her food is 2 dieee for…

Ordered: Loaded fries and bacon sliders Pros – The bartender was attentive and friendly. The bacon sliders had a nice kick of spice and tang. Cons – The loaded fries were below average. The dish was filled with pork and cheese that lacked in flavor. The fries were not crispy.

Baker’s has an outstanding selection of local craft beers with options from Evil Twin, Other Half, and Bill Baker’s own recipes brewed at Spyderbite. There were about 18 options of which all were craft and 12 were brewed in the metropolitan area. The food was typical bar food. We had bacon sliders which were simply small potato buns with thin slices of bacon. We also had fully loaded fries with pulled pork, cheese, bacon, and scallions. There okay dishes to snack on if you get the munchies, but there are some more enticing food options nearby.

Seriously the nicest staff and bartenders. We come every week for Wednesday trivia nights and the food and beers are always great. We’re so glad to have this new spot in the neighborhood.

Food is delicious, drinks are made to perfection. Recommend the duck confit Cubans possibly one of the best things I’ve eaten. Will come back next time I’m in Williamsburg

Sandwiches were so delicious! The mini burger that I had had a sweet and savory taste to it. The drinks are strong so you get what you pay for. And the servers are extremely nice. I live on the other side of grand but would not mind coming back here for the food and drinks. Very well worth it!

Simple review for ya here… Come to Bill Bakers for solid cocktails, a fun, yet affordable menu and lots of rotating craft brews. The place isn’t large, but is sizable enough to make you feel comfortable whether you’re at a table or just hanging out by the bar. Favorites for our crew were the reuben spring rolls(so good), burger, the butcher fries and a bacon wrapped item I can no longer find on the menu(hey, it went fast. You saw I wrote bacon, right?). Will definitely be back for some whiskey(a nice selection here) and a duck cuban I just discovered on the menu. Seems like the masses haven’t found this place yet, so get over there while you still can!

Great food, friendly staff. We went for brunch and started with the bread basket(a deal for the table at $ 6) and continued with the Duck Cuban and the special dish, both excellent. I hope they make the special dish a regular menu item– two breaded and fried chicken cutlets over green beans with a parmesan cream sauce and two artichoke hearts. Really good.

I like Bill Baker’s a lot. There is something about the fake sounding name and gauche appointments of the place that belay what is a legitimate craft beer spot with an awesome menu and cheery staff. Maybe I am just too used to the hipster friendly ‘lets make our place look like a hunting lodge’ style. But yeah. Go there for the redoubtable drink specials($ 10 for a craft pint and a shot of buffalo trace). Go there for the creative and delicious food(Cuban inspired duck sandwich on a garlic toast). Or just go there for the insane tap list that changes every day. Backed up by an enthusiastic set of bartenders, waiters and owners it adds up to a win.

This is such an excellent bar. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are top notch! For dinner you must try the mussels and duck pierogi. For brunch, the cinnamon toast crunch waffles and sweet potato sunrise are AMAZING! Their cocktails and wine are great, but they excel in their bourbon and beer selection. The staff is super friendly so ask for recommendations from your waiter or bartender. Sometimes craft beer/fancy whiskey spots have condescending staff, but these people are wonderful and never patronizing. Avi, Ammy, Andrew, and Mike are the best! This place is usually full but not crowded, fun but not too loud, and always completely delicious. Trivia Wednesday’s at 8, live music on Saturday nights, and they have plenty of screens so all kinds of sports games are playing at all times. Not bro-y in spite of the sports though. Amazing place! So fun!

Great beers, including a couple of sours on tap. Free tapas for happy hour, today was sausage and peppers. Great staff and good conversation. We will be back.

Went to eat here last night and enjoyed myself. Everyone who works there is super friendly! I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was delicious but incredibly oily. Like an abnormal amount of oil was dripping from the sandwich. When I finished eating I realized my arms down to my elbows were glistening with oil. That sandwich made my side of fries seem healthy and light in comparison. I’m looking forward to coming back to try to the Crackling Duck Pierogi, because I haven’t finished destroying my body yet.

Best new restaurant/bar in the area. Nice staff, great beer(local and house), amazing bourbon selection, and good food(definitely get the bourbon-maple popcorn)! Stay fancy here while also being able to watch sports.

This place is on a corner at the end of Grand Street. You’ll pass a few pretty cool bars on the way here, but keep walking, it’s definitely worth holding out for what this place has to offer. The beer list is smartly selected and has been fresh and unexpected both times I’ve been here. There are 16 tap lines, many of them dedicated to infrequently-found newer releases from Brooklyn/NY local craft breweries, with flights upon request($ 8). The Jonas Bronck Egg Crème Stout on the Nitro tap has a chocolate cream flavor, but my favorite tonight was the Grimm Rainbow Dome — a little sour and perfect for summer. There’s an outstanding bourbon offering as well, with friendly, low-key bartenders who will gladly curate the beer, make suggestions and offer a taste without being pushy. I’ve eaten here twice and have been quite pleasantly surprised both times. The first time, I had a Cuban sandwich with duck that blew my mind, a really nice little salad and macaroni and cheese that went perfectly with the house vanilla stout. Tonight, we had the sliders — outrageous — and fries, hand cut. Add the caramel popcorn to that — calling it pub fare doesn’t do it justice.

Came to bill bakers tonight for the first time since I’ve seen it open. We started off with some flights of IPA which were pretty good selections by the bartender, we accompanied them with some $ 1 oysters with some kind of champagne garnish which was delicious. We were also treated to some free maple popcorn and a taster of a rare bottled beer by the bartender. The service was pretty good, overall it was pretty solid. Didn’t get to try any real food but will definitely be back for the beer selection if anything.

Came to Bill Bakers tonight for some late night eats at around midnight. Their late night menu is delicious and the service was outstanding. Michael the busboy went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The bartender was also very friendly and accommodating. We had a delicious juicy burger and the Mac and cheese. Definitely will be back!

We have to have a new comfortable bar and restaurant in the neighborhood. It’s very nicely designed and easy to get to which is ideal. We sat at the bar to eat and drink. Very relaxing. The bartender Jeremy was friendly and knowledgeable about beers. We dined on a bunch of small plates. Most of the dishes were to our liking and with a few minor tweaks they’ll be perfect. Staff was enthusiast and courteous. Not the usual slacker attitude of many Brooklyn bars I have visited. Recently, outdoor seating was added which makes for a killer place to drink the night away and enjoy some good American dishes. It’s also a good value which I appreciate. We tried a flight of their Baker’s Brews which are their house beers. All were excellent. Our favorite dishes were the Artichoke pasta and Mac N’ Cheese. Very, very good. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes and brunch in the Fall. Welcome Bill Baker’s.

Stars for the food(as always). 5+ stars for our server(Eric if I recall). Price and food portion 1 – 2 stars. I know my neighborhood is a downward spiral of gentrification and I’ll no longer be able to afford anything(home cooked meals soon to be a daily thing). However even for this area I have never paid so much for so little. Granted I ate with a party of four, I have dined with them in other location in the vicinity, barely hitting 100 $. Even with the high prices, overall I say try it out(don’t come too hungry). I’ll be back for the beers.

Have only been to a preview tasting for this new Williamsburg spot but in advance of their opening I would say that it’s very promising. My most extensive tasting: their beers. In addition to the beers in bottles and on tap they also have their own brews. Four of them, all were tasted and I was impressed. An IPA, a wheat beer, a porter and one more that fit nicely in between the porter and the IPA. Very good beer. The place looks good, kind of old-school. Comfortable bar. Seems like a solid American menu. Looking forward to trying more on my next visit. Worth checking out.
