This place has a good and creative menu. Very friendly staff and I’ve never had a bad lunch here. I love the chicken bites and crispy in house fries! I recommend to anyone looking for a good quality lunch with good quality ingredients.

I bookmarked this place last year, but I finally got to eat their food last weekend. Last year, I followed the address on the Unilocal, and we arrived middle of no where in residential area. I realized they moves around because they are a food cart, then I called them, but I am not familiar with PA, so I wasn’t able to find the place. Finally this year, I had another chance to come to Scranton, PA, so I decided to try. This year they seemed increased the locations. I went to the one at Viewmount Mall on November 29(Sun). It was about 12:30pm, and only one person was ahead of us. However, they took long time to prepare. I ordered Pork Tacos which is their popular menu, and my husband ordered Chicken in Waffle and Cheese Fries. It was only 1 hour or 1 ½ hours after they opened that day, but they didn’t have waffle. So my husband ordered Chicken Tacos instead. Since I am used to New York City area’s vendor’s efficient service, I felt their service was slow. Although I ate the food soon after we bought, food was not warm. It wasn’t cold, but it was almost room temperature. Since I was waiting in cold weather, I wanted to have something warm. So I was disappointed. I had Pork Tacos and tried my husband’s Chicken Tacos. I thought their sauce is unique and good. I tried Cheese Fries(it was called by different name). It was so-so. If it was warmer, it should be good. Entirely, I felt their food was too salty. If you ate with soda or juice, maybe you may feel not so salty, but I usually eat with water, and try to taste the food well, so I felt their food was salty. Although I wasn’t that impressed by their food, it seemed like my husband liked their food. So it is really depend on their taste.

First time here. Food is delicious. They apologized because one of our orders got accidentally burnt and they refused to serve us burnt food. That is awesome customer service! Will definitely recommend this place and come back again.

Every time I come here, without fail, the food is exceptional and bangin’. I’ve been known to chase the truck across town, and this new location is right next to my office within perfect walking distance. Glorious! The Food Gods have shined upon me! Rock on, WTFork.

So unhappy. It got busy right after we got there. We ordered the burger sliders. Chicken bites. Big Mar fries and chicken waffles. Ok… so it for busy right after we got there but we were second in line. It took, 25 minutes to get the food and we were missing the chicken and waffles tacos… which she said would follow. The sliders were burnt… badly …the truffle fries were ice cold. The chicken bites were ok. 20 minutes after being promised the chicken. Waffles. I went back in and asked and she said five minutes. 10 minutes later still no order. I finally asked for a refund. Totally sub par and not the same quality they used to be. I think they spread themselves too thin. Stop expanding you were better smaller… I did not state this earlier… however, this was the downtown Wilkes Barre location… not one of the trucks.

The food is 5 stars! The portions were great, and food was freshly prepared. The pork tacos are great, as are the sliders. Price is reasonable. I am happy that there is a permanent location to get my fork fix instead of trying to track down a truck on the few days that I venture out for lunch. I deducted a star(really ½ star) for the online ordering which seemed easy at first. But when you order online, you’re told it’ll be ready in 45 mins. Then I got a random text saying it’ll be over an hour. But I went in and they were not at all busy and got everything ready in about 15 mins. Next time, I’ll just call in my order. The place looks nice, new, and clean. There is limited seating inside. A lot of businesses come and go in downtown WB. I hope that with the quality and inventiveness of their food that WTF is here to stay.

I remember running by the truck out in Dunmore years ago before they could get permits to operate in Scranton. I always thought to myself«Hey, what a stupid idea! It must cost them a fortune to operate that thing!» But, as I continued running by, I was compelled to research what the operation was all about. It was vibrant, it was daring, and, to a lot of people, WTF was doomed from the start– something new in a place where everyone clings onto the relics of days past. I followed the news articles, the city council meetings, the Facebook posts, even that weird contest on Good Morning America. Soon, my friends knew about it. Some time after that, my parents knew about it. And everyone seemed to love it. A few weeks ago I was home from college and finally got the chance to try the food. I ordered the surf and turf tacos and beef sliders. What a great lunch it was. The taste of free enterprise, the taste of a chef who wasn’t afraid to break the mold, and, most importantly, the taste of delicious food. Fanfare aside, it was expensive. On one hand, there was lobster involved. On the other hand, I required two orders to eat my fill for lunch. Excited to try out the new location soon.

NEPA’s most famous food truck has finally opened their downtown brick-and-mortar location next to Katana. As a downtown resident, I’m always super excited to try new restaurants that better the WB atmosphere and increase our available food choices in our blossoming little city — WTF’s new spot is definitely a welcome addition. They keep their menu small, offering exotic takes on standard pub food(see my photo of the«Tochos») while still keeping their famous items on regular rotation(See: their renowned sliders) The price-point is reasonable, especially for lunch, and the location is really great. My coworkers and I spent a good amount of time people-watching the throngs of the wilkes-barre professionals venturing out into the sun for some local lunch. Sometimes it really does feel good to live downtown and be part of a city in the midst of a rebirth. My only suggestion for this joint would be that they should consider getting some air conditioning — it was a hot one today, and it was a bit stifling inside. My coworker, Jason, was complaining about the heat the entire time, which was super annoying. Maybe even take a cue from Rodano’s and offer outside seating? Just a thought. Welcome to Wilkes-Barre, What the Fork!

I have had many good experiences with the truck. It is a bit pricy but has been well worth it. Today I visited the new location in downtown Wilkes-Barre, and left a little disappointed. First up the food. I ordered the white pizza grilled cheese which was good. Crispy outside, soft inside, nice melted cheese, over all a good dish. My wife ordered the hamburger sliders. The koolickles were great as per usual. My wife wasn’t very happy with the whole peppercorns in her burger, and said the meat was a bit dry. The biggest disappointment came with the Truffle fries which we shared, and didn’t finish. They were soggy, saturated with oil, and had little to no salt. They tasted like oil was a bit old, and were not hot enough to melt the parm on top. As for the restaurant itself– We weren’t sure if the place was open. There was no open sign or a sticker with hours at all on the door, but this is likely because they JUST opened. It also didn’t help that there didn’t seem to be anything on any of the tables, and all the staff was in the back. With the strand board polyurethane booth/bench, stainless counters, and industrial oil barrel garbage bins the place gives off a low budget/high function style a la chipotle. I do appreciate the effort of reducing water consumption but«low flow» on the bathroom sink is an understatement. At one point it was literally just dripping. I don’t mean to tear the place apart, and i fully intend on going back to give it a second chance. I just write this in hope that it helps them get things in order. Everything they need seems to be already in place. It was just poorly executed on this visit. I hope after they have been open a while they will have everything smoothed out. Lets hope this was a one off.

If you haven’t tried their pork tacos, you haven’t lived. Stopped by after receiving a free pork taco for joining their text message list. One bite later I became a loyal fan of their food. Since my first taco order I’ve tried a few other things, including the Walkin Taco-another favorite, and I have zero complaints. Add WTFork on Facebook and Twitter to find out exactly where they will be each day!

My husband and I stopped at the truck on a Sunday afternoon and the pork tacos were cold, the lady behind the counter was very rude! For 4 tacos and 2 drinks coming to 18 bucks you should be more nicer to you customers and serve hot food! I know I won’t be going back! Very disappointed!

The food is amazing. Great service and very friendly staff. The menu has a bunch of different foods, must try them all. Check out their facebook to see where their trucks are located. Enjoy!

saw this truck at the mall and was totally stoked. everything sounded delicious. nothing vegan, though. that was a bummer. would have loved at least a meat free soup. anyway, got the parm truffle fries. so freaking good. seriously, I just moved to the area from a large city and I didn’t expect noms like this in this area. like another reviewer stated, the portions could have been a teensy bigger. I’d still eat here again, for sure. taste is on point.

I’m usually pretty excited to see what the fork in the area and stop to get some lunch. Sometimes it seems a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but overall I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve had the sliders, pork tacos, pork burrito, truffle fries, white pizza grilled cheese, chicken and waffle grilled cheese, and hush puppies. Everything I’ve had has been good and it’s always interesting to see what they’ll have on the menu. Sometimes it can take awhile though so I suggest calling ahead if you can.

What The Fork is a really great food truck in the NEPA area. I have been there multiple times and everything was great! But I’ll focus on the last time I was there, when I got the crab sliders and brisket fries. Crab sliders were awesome! I really liked the flavor and the chipotle aioli. Brisket fries were also really amazing, though I could do with a tad less mustard. I have also had the pork tacos and they were very good too. The prices are pretty average, and the portions are a nice size, some items are big enough to share. What The Fork is a good choice for lunch or dinner!

We LOVE What the Fork truck. Thankfully my partner is a property manager up near Scranton, so we get to go there a couple times a month for lunch. My favorite are the pork tacos and I pretty much order them every time. Other favorites are the crab sliders and the beef sliders(just wish they were grass fed instead of grain fed). My only gripe is that they’re SO far away. After he sells the property, we won’t have any reason to go up there.

First time since we moved into the Wilkes Barre/Electric City area and always intrigued to stop for the truck! Finally got a chance to and ordered a bunch of food. I liked it, hubby loved the BBQ pulled pork tacos with the candy sauce and next time I would have the bean salad. Also ordered the lobster rolls, which were tasty indeed; The sweet rolls they served them on were a tasty perk to the giant lumps of claw and flavors. I had to ask the staff to modify my lobster rolls because I do not take well to bacon, them doing so was very kind but I was slightly dissappointed by the lack of heart to them otherwise as i waited a very long time for them. They were just lobster and mayo? Understandable and all in all we had a great time dining off the truck.

The fork truck is a monthly regular at my office. I’ve tried many of their offerings. I’ve had a mixed bag of experience. My one consistent comment is that the portion size is small for the price. I get that they ate using top quality ingredients and I understand there is a lot of overhead with a mobile operation like this. The pulled pork items are great. The surf and turf items are good. The fries are just fries and not that exciting. The sliders are good. I do eat here often due to the convenience, but always walk away hungry if I want to stay in a reasonable lunch budget.

Well it seems that WTF is getting too big for their britches… Quality is going down. Taco’s were so so on my last visit. Seems they were pre made in hopes of selling them. Slow down guys… QUALITYBEFOREQUANTITY !!!

Had the lobster roll. If anything has a lobster roll on the menu I must try it. But I should have known better ordering lobster off a truck. It wasn’t bad… But it wasn’t that good either. It was premixed so my request of no jalapeños was denied. The roll was way to large for a lobster roll, to much bread going on and it wasn’t toasted or anything just cold. The corn was an interesting addition that was enjoyable, Let’s talk about the lobster, it tasted pre frozen and was still super cold and soggy to the bite. All in all I was kind of a let down it had some interesting flavors but I would advise skipping the $ 13 sandwich and going for something else. I’d try something else again if I ever spot them in the parking lot again.
