I recently booked a room for mothers day and cancelled due bad reviews. I stayed at this hotel when my children were little and thought it would be nice to spend mothers day weekend together again with them as adults. After reading reviews, I decided to cancel. I was told that they would keep $ 54.00 for a cancellation fee. It is months inadvance! They should refund all my money!!! Very disappointed on how they do business. The girl on the phone was very nice and just kept saying it was on their website. I didn’t realize that the cancellation fee was in effect when the cancellation of the reservation is three months away. Horrible business ethnics.

Place needs serious updating. Funny odors in hallways. Room furniture is old and not comfortable. Bedding and towels need to be replaced. Everything in the room needs replacing.

We stay every year Memorial Day weekend, you can hear the waves from your room, we always get ocean front room away from the outdoor pool. Plus plus. Don’t recommend the add on that come with the Memorial Day special, the pizza place at the corner has horrible pizza, the boat ride is good, the meals are very limited, and we never use the free bike rental. the indoor pool seems to be out of control with kids, who parents use as a babysitter. So we do go there…

I stayed at Montego Bay the past weekend in a 2 bedroom suite with my 2 small children, husband, and my dad. I was worried after reading many reviews but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The 2BR suite was spacious and clean and had a wonderful ocean view from the balcony. We come to Wildwood every year and have always rented condos in the past. We were so happy with our choice and will definitely stay again next year. The water park was great for the kids, although the height restrictions were rather stringent as my kids were not allowed on the water slides, which was disappointing. They have been on slides like these at other water parks with no problem. That said, the pool and playground were great and we visited every afternoon and it was one of the highlights of the weekend for the kids. The hotel could use some updates and improvements and the elevators were extremely slow. When looking for something on the last day I was a little disturbed by the food, pills, and other small items under the beds and sofas. Fortunately I never saw any bugs or critters and checked the beds for signs of bed bugs and all looked good. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. We originally signed up for the meal plan at Adams Restaurant but after eating breakfast there the first morning, we really didn’t want to eat there again and the front desk refunded me the rest of the meal tickets, which I was very pleased about. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and cannot wait to come back again next year!

Dear Montego Bay, I am currently sitting in your water park Tiki Bar discussing my future with you amongst my family. I have so many memories formed within your bright, yellow walls. I changed my kids’ diapers in your ocean front rooms. I happily jammed hot dogs in my mouth while singing along to the musical entertainment every Wednesday night. I drank Jack and coke on your deck with my grandfather the year before cancer took him from us. I have visited you faithfully every year for 12 years. The time has come for us to part ways. I used to get a kick out of the short, cranky check in lady. I would giggle to myself as the tiki bar server rolled her eyes in response to my order for a strawberry daiquiri. I accepted these quirks in the name of family tradition. I haven’t appreciated it at all this year. I’m getting older. I put in a 70 hour work week. I want to be treated nicely and made to feel welcome. I work hard for my money and am happy to pay for a smile and good service. I haven’t seen a smile since I checked in three days ago. Please, PLEASE fire that short, chain smoking check-in clerk. She has an excellent scowl and quite a knack for making customers feel unwelcome. Is this the greeting you want for your business? And PLEASE provide customer service training for the dark haired tiki bar server. She sits at the end of the bar and rolls her eyes every time she is asked to get off her stool to make a drink. These are only two of many disappointments we are no longer willing to overlook on our summer vacation. Our couch is broken. The toilet won’t flush. There is seaweed floating in both pools. There is a half eaten hot dog sitting in the 2nd floor hall(FORTHREEDAYS!). The customer service is too horrendous to discuss further. The straw that broke the camel’s back, was the roaches that came out to visit at night.(See pic) We are done. Don’t get me wrong, we will come back to Wildwood. I have visited this place for the past 36 years and it holds a special place deep in my heart. We will be staying somewhere where they value their customers… and cleanliness. I will drop by from time to time to gaze up at your deck and remember the good times spent with my grandfather. I will never EVER spend a dime in your facility again. Thanks for the good times and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Cheers to 12 years together! I would order a drink to toast but I really can’t take another suffering sigh from your staff. Peace!

Went to the water park since we were in the middle of a nor’easter and it wasn’t bad. We needed something to do and sitting in the jacuzzi part of the pool was nice, but not hot enough. There were a lot of kids, but they weren’t animals. Had a drink at the bar in the water park and she was a sweet heart and her drink was yummy and prices were reasonable. The pool was a bit cold and we sucked it up and went down the slides to say we did it, but way to cold to stay in the pool part. The life guards need to do a better job at watching the kids and patrons instead of talking to the female who worked there.

Free for young kids. A good place to go when it’s raining at the beach.

Stopped by for a beer on Labor Day while taking a walk on the boardwalk. The bartender(who would not give me his name) was the biggest jerk on the word. He was more interested in his clients buying the more expensive drinks than me drinking a beer. He ignored me. He was rude when a conversation was started about how I felt about the economy. He was cursing in front of bar patrons which is totally out of line in such small place. He tried playing psychologist with me and told me to get put of his bar and not to return because he didn’t like my attitude — actually my personal beliefs. Rude, downing, demeaning… Why is guy employed by this upscale hotel. Understand the bartender served a Parton who went put and stabbed to death someone he made a grey at in summer of 2012. Why the restaurants NEVER never said a word until I complained, God only knows. I talked for 15 minutes with this restaurant manager and she told me this bartender had received No TRAINING into his horrific experience!!! What type of place is this to allow a person who murdered booze???

$ 10 a day for the 2 waterslides in a chlorine hot box is not a «waterpark.»

We love to stay here especially the kids. Most people say they like it because the kids go swim when the weather is bad. But let me tell you the kids will be in the in door water park even when the weather is beautiful out! It is a lot of fun for them. The staff is very nice. But I did notice that people who do not belong to the hotel manage to sneak in. I think because we pay a little more then we would at other hotels, they should be a little more vigilante. But over all, we would definitely stay again!

My family and friends just returned from our two night stay at Montego Bay. One word to sum up our visit is Disgusting. The overwhelming odors that can only be described as vile that inhabit this hotel are repulsive. When you get to your room you see a rather out dated room but don’t think it will be too bad. However take a closer look and you’ll find cracking tiles, dust everywhere, dirt that’s encrusted on the walls since probably 1962, hairs, gnarly smears of who knows what, stains on your couch cushions, holes in the walls, and many more treasures that you’ll have to live with. The amount of filth on the ground caused us all to not only walk around with shoes on but to shriek in fear that we would catch some disease if one toe even touched the floor. The shower probably has never been cleaned since the day it was installed. We all either showered with our flip flops or decided that not taking a shower was a better option. At night when it came time to face the fact that we did have to sleep we all opted to sleep fully dressed(long pants, sweatshirts, socks, etc) in fear that some creature would crawl out of the walls or bed bugs were a possibility. When the morning came we were hoping our room would be cleaned(high hopes). We returned to the room to find out our room hadn’t been touched and when we called the desk the woman snapped at me saying the maid wouldn’t skip our room(even if she was cleaning the adjacent room when we left). When it was finally«cleaned» it appeared as though only items around the room were shifted and the beds were made. PERIOD. The floors were still as dirty if not more dirty than when we left that morning. And if you think you’ll get any help from the front desk with forgotten toiletries. GOODLUCK. The only thing they give you is minuscule bars of facial soap, so that forgotten toothbrush? Have fun paying $ 5 for it down the boardwalk! Don’t even get me started on the indoor«water park». It may sound good for children until you actually get there. The entire pool deck is covered with child’s puzzle foam play mats and carpets that are covered in mold and probably other substances. The smell of the mold and the over powering smell of chlorine will make you want to vomit. Speaking of vomit. During my stay the entire second floor smelt like only something that could of come out of a sick child. This place is over priced, out dated, and filthy. You’d be better off taking a tent and sleeping under the boardwalk(it may be cleaner). If you like feeling grimy and gross all weekend, this place is for you. But, we all left that weekend thinking that a bath in lysol wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

While I do love it here especially with the location and the indoor water park, I haven’t been here in a while because of an incident in which we were given an oddly placed room as opposed to the one requested that soon was discovered to be infested with ants. We were moved, but, that was just a bit much. Overall, you can’t beat being on the boardwalk and the restaurant is worth a shot.

Relatively speaking, this is one of the nicer motels in the greater Wildwood area. But, plan ahead: our bed came with a fitted sheet and a bedspread… No sheets or blankets! And calling the front desk of this«resort» to inquire at 10 pm gets you the lone security guard who can’t really help you. The all-suite facility doesn’t even give you a box of tissues. When they first opened they were light years ahead of the competition because of their new updated facilities. Not so new anymore. But, the location *is* great, I just wish they didn’t take advantage of their customers for that reason.

This is just a review of the bar. It is the only bar on the boardwalk, that alone makes it good. The view of the beach and boardwalk make it better. The bartender makes it the best.
