Casey’s On Third

I’ve experienced better and it was here. Very disappointing. Usually one of the things on my list when I go to the shore is a Casey’s burger. They were always outstanding! Didn’t go last year and couldn’t remember why but was reminded last night when my order came out and it was so obviously not the Casey’s burger that I remembered and then remembered having the same discussion with the staff two years ago, at that time they insisted it was the same and it clearly wasn’t. This time when I asked the staff when they started using frozen burgers there was no defense, they just didn’t know. Service was excellent, the young lady was very attentive and on the ball. Clam chowder was good, my friend ordered the crab balls and she enjoyed them; but Casey’s is known for it’s burgers and I can’t for the life of me figure out why your restaurant wouldn’t stick with what they had when what they had was a proven success. The reaction from my daughter when I told her was Wow — Casey’s was known for their burgers — it was the reason that we went there. My family would always tell people visiting the area that they had to stop at Casey’s for their burgers, won’t be doing that now. I think that says it all.

Went there Monday June 29, 2015 to get a hot roast beef sandwich and a beer. Soup of the day was Manhattan Clam Chowder, so I ordered a cup. Not very many people in there at around 6 PM. Soup came out, took one taste, …like a shaker of salt was poured into it. Put it to the side and in less than 3 minutes waitress came over and said «I’ll take that away» and have it taken off the bill like she knew it was bad.
Hot roast beef comes out, open faced, cheese melted by oven on one side 3/​16″ sliced beef on the other. I take a bite, it’s like shoe leather. I put it in middle of table and ask for check. They had the balls to charge me for everything. I left the money for the beer and walked out.
It might be a good place to drink, but the food and the courtesy sucks.
NEGATIVE 2 **

My wife and I went here for dinner and a night out 6÷6÷2015. We ordered buffalo shrimp appetizer, I got a burger, and she ordered a turkey rueben. Service was slow just to get our order in. Strangely, the apps were brought out with our meals. The buffalo shrimp was pretty good… decent quantity and quality of shrimp. My burger was outstanding, as was my wife’s rueben. Service was just very very slow. Best oart of the evening was the band that night. No cover charge to see them, and they played great music all night long. I beleive they were called REACTION. I would go here again if that band was playing.

On Friday 3÷15÷13 four women went here for something to eat after getting into town for St. Pat’s day. What a mistake. We sat down and waited 20 minutes for the waitress. She was not that busy and saw us waiting. We got up and left and as we were leaving she said good bye. We went to Westy’s and had a fair meal with good service.

Went on Monday note for dinner. Service was beyond excellent. Our waitress took care of every detail. The food left a little to be desired. The app of spinach and crabmeat was divine. The pita chips were warm and crisp and the dip had fresh crabmeat. That was the best. The worst was the salmon with mango salsa special. Dried out brick of fish. Weird salsa with vinegar had a bad taste. I ordered my burger medium but it came out rare. My son Ate two orders of clams both were different. Some in each batch were over some were under. The island salad was ok. Won’t go back for dinner.

Went for wing nite on monday. Ordered about 7:30 and were told they were out of wings. Poor management on Caseys end. Will never go back there again.

This is one of our Friday night dinner spots at the shore. They have a very cheesy duo playing from 5 to 7 and can be a lot of fun. Service can be a little slow at times but we have never encountered a problem with the food. Most times we eat here I order one of the daily specials and have never been disappointed. I know this place is at the shore but the beer selection on tap is limited to the big american brewers or Guiness and Smitticks. Overall, Casey’s food is good and a fun place to hang out and drink as well.

Based on food alone… went with my family and the food was tasteless and extremely disappointing. Had to return the muscles because half of them were empty the other half were small and stringy. Had some of almost everything on the menu considering we were a party of 11. Would not eat here again but would totally come back to drink.
