I have been in this hotel since Thursday April 7th. I was quoted $ 79 per night as a medical rate because my grandfather is in the hospital near this hotel. As of today Sunday April 10… which would total 3 nights. With charges of $ 91.84 per night SHOULD total $ 275.52 but my account has been charged $ 575.52. I completely understand needing preauths but is it really necessary everyday… the clerk at the front desk suggested I call my bank to have the preauths released… but it is Sunday and I can’t do that. Also the preauth amounts aren’t consistent, they are all different amounts. It just doesn’t make much sense. *update to Monday morning and I have been charged $ 675 with no help from customer service… they just keep running my card**and now it’s Tuesday and I have been Charged another night and have called the corporate help line twice, communicated with the branch manager and still nothing has been credited or fixed! Even after sending pictures of the charges posted to my account. So even with proof of being charged 6 nights and only staying 4 no help at all. Besides that the place is not in good condition at all

It’s not a bad hotel. It’s not spectacular either. The people working there are really cool. The rooms are decent. They are getting dated now though. The double rooms have full size beds. They are really short. The kitchenette is nice. Their patio is really cool. Nice grill. No pool. It’s not a dirty hotel. It’s just kind of basic. In my opinion, i have stayed in much nicer hotels for less money.

This was a great place for my wife and I to stay for a few days while visiting Wichita. The room was very clean and aside from slamming doors it was a very quiet stay. There are a lot of amenities in the room and it is great if you are staying for a few days. There is not anywhere within walking distance so you need to be willing to drive everywhere. The staff was excellent.

I am a loyal Marriott Gold Elite person and generally really like the Town Place brand. Pro: the rooms are quite large and are equipped with nice amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Con: the place is really dump for something under Marriott. Dents in the frig door and rips in the fabric of the couch. I stayed free using points but would not pay to stay there.

Pros: The staff was friendly, the overall appearance of the hotel is well kept. The room was fine, standard hotel room for a Town Place Suite. Cons: I gave it 3 out of 5 because due to the walking index and the thin walls(I could hear every foot step, door slam, TV, etc and I am hearing impaired), otherwise it is an affordable option.

My wife needed to book a stay in Wichita at the last minute, and this was one of the very few places that actually had a vacancy(I don’t wonder why). She didn’t even make it to the front desk before turning around and leaving. She cited«cleanliness and safety issues.» Apparently there were highly dubious characters loitering around the hotel, as well as other suspicious activity. Probably not a good place to stay unless you’re a villain. And even then, there’s probably less expensive places of higher quality around town. They also charged me one night for cancelling. I guess I’ll be talking to the chargeback man.

Marriott Towne Place Suite is a good hotel to stay at in the Wichita area, especially if you plan on staying here for a while. I was scheduled to be in Wichita on business for 2 week. The Marriott Towne Place Suite offers a decent room, with a queen bed, desk, kitchen(with stove, full size fridge, dishwasher and microwave). For me the kitchen was very useful. I allowed to me buy food at the market and cook. When on business travel for a long period of time sometime I can get tired of eating out. The hotel also offers a small gym. It’s not as big as I would like. They only have one treadmill and 2 elliptical machines. However, they are good quality with each having an individual TV monitor. Unfortunately the do not have any weights. Towne Suites is also conveniently located less then 0.5 miles from Wal-Mart and several eateries(Chipotle, Applebee’s, Five Guys). This is a decent place to stay if visiting Wichita for work.

Showering was kind of a letdown. Though I’m sure it was at peak usage time(about 7am), there was still a severe hot water deficiency. Everything else was great though. Hotel staff were helpful, the rooms were nicely furnished, and the price was right. Even though the location is a bit outside the main areas of Wichita, I got to explore the East side of the city(very nice) and it’s not too much of a hassle to catch the highways to downtown(about a 15 minute drive with time to stop for doughnuts and coffee).
