Food is always good. I always get the build your own platter with a chicken kabob(i like the kabob over the shawarma because the kabob comes with all white meat chicken breast), hummus, and shoe string fries. If you want a suggestion on the dip just combine one pump of the garlic sauce and siracha mayo. Even makes a great dip for the kabob itself.

Dropped by Meddys on our way through Wichita for lunch today, and we were very glad we did! We had a chicken schwarma, beef kefta, falafel, and chicken kebob wraps, and they were all fantastic! The sides are good as well — the fries are herby and crispy, the hummus is very good, and the tabbouleh is fresh and clean. We also grabbed a piece of pistachio baklava and a piece of ramoulah — both are worth sharing, but based on the portion sizes of the wraps, you’ll be pushing it to have room for dessert!

Well, I went. I tried. And I won’t be back. Sorry Meddy’s, definitely not the worst I have ever had but for the money I will stick with Bella Luna and Le Monde!

My wife and I dropped in after seeing some ads, maybe in the newspaper. Parking lot was crowded so I guessed seating was limited too. Not so. Plenty of room. She ordered the Chicken Kabob wrap and I ordered the Beef Shawarma Wrap. Kinda slow considering the lack of customers, but the food arrived warm. The chicken was good according to my wife; my beef was tough. I was able to finish most of my wrap. There were so many vegetables in my wrap that the pita began to tear and fall apart. The price was good however.

We tried Meddy’s based on all the positive reviews. I want to support a family business and the staff were eager to make sure all was well and that we got everything we needed. All was fresh and well prepared. The baklava was very good and the other dessert items looked great. The fatoush had a very plain dressing. My chicken swarma was okay. The hummus was distictive with lots of paprika. My main complaint was that the dining area was like a McDonald’s or Chipotle, cold and uncomfortable. Half the seating is stools bolted to the floor. Maybe some of my disappointment was based on me expecting a sitdown restaurant experience. If I lived nearby I would consider trying again for takeout.

The chicken shawarma combo is great! Good hummus, although I think less fried pita and more soft, fresh pita would be better. But it was delicious. The beef shawarma wrap on the other hand wasn’t that good to my husband and I. I didn’t finish it and wouldn’t get it again. The flavors didn’t work well with us and the beef was a bit chewy. But I’m sure we will be back for the chicken shawarma! Cheap and quick lunch/dinner option!

Had the chicken rice bowl and it was absolutely delicious! I love the baklava(they had 3 different kinds) and it was a perfect way to finish my meal. I love the modern atmosphere here and the employees were very helpful! I will definitely be back — maybe even later this weekend!

This place is absolutely phenomenal! My friend and I were visiting from Seattle and needed a place to eat on a Sunday evening. Everything in Wellington was closed so we decided to make the trip to Wichita. We stumbled upon Meddy’s and we both agree that it is some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever had. At first we were taken aback by the«fast food» appearance of the place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality food and superb service. We are both vegetarians so we each ordered the Mezze Platter and substituted spinach pies for kibbe balls. The baba ghanoush was perfectly smokey, had the perfect texture, and was garnished with fresh pomegranate seeds. The hummus also had the perfect texture, and had the perfect balance of garlic and tahini. The falafel was some of the best I’ve ever had, and were fried to perfection. The tabbouleh was also incredible, and was packed with fresh mint and parsley. The only tiny complaint I have is the dolmas were a bit hard, but the flavor was still amazingly fresh. They give you an entire basket of pita bread and pita chips, and there are bottomless sauces available for dipping. What more could you ask for?! Finally, the service was incredible. The manager was super friendly and came over to check on us and ask us how our food was. He even brought us free dessert! He brought us fresh, housemade namoura – a sweet, perfectly dense cream cheese dessert with coconut and crushed pistachios. I cannot stress how great this place is. If I lived in Wichita, I’d be eating here all the time. Try Meddy’s! You will not regret it.

This place surprised me how good it was! I have only eaten here once and will be back. This is definitely a great alternative to just a burger. Good place to eat fast friendly service. Fattoush salad is delish! I also had the beef shawarma wrap. Next time I will leave room for dessert.

Update — Changing this to 5 stars, Alex personally followed up after my initial review. Hope to be back soon. Thanks. Been here many times but tonight they must have had the D team cooking. Chicken was burnt, Kafka pizza was the worst I have had there in a long time. Plus one was so mangled it was just a pile of meat with sauce on it. The hummus was the only redeeming point of the meal. I will stick to week days lunch.

Meddys give generous portions I guarantee you won’t leave hungry! Their wraps and hummus is really tasty! Service was great and a friendly place to eat! Not quite a full line Mediterranean menu but good!

I have eaten at a lot of Mediterranean restaurants and this one tops all of them in Wichita.(I’m pretty picky about my food) First off, I’d like to say, great customer service. Every time I walk inside of Meddys, I am greeted with a smile. I haven’t tried a lot of their food, because I keep coming back to my favorite dish, which would have to be the beef Shawarma wrap with a fattoush salad. The meddy’s tahini sauce is fabulous and makes the wrap stand out from the rest. Also, if you’re wanting to try their hummus, I’d highly recommend it, it’s pretty delicious as well. If you’re thinking about trying a new Mediterranean restaurant and you haven’t tried meddy’s, you should.

First time trying this. Very pleased! Can definitely buy one side to share! We had the beef shwarma and the chicken shwarna. Both were very good. We also had the shoe string fries and then the hummus. We didn’t care for the crisp pita chips that came with it but they gladly swapped them for the regular pita.

This is Mediterranean fast food but don’t let that deter you from giving it a try. Personally I like a little more meat and veggies with my entrees but this place will get the job dine in a pinch. The prices are average 8 to 10 a plate and it’s perfect to order to go. Not my first pick by far but if you’re in the area, it will satisfy your Mediterranean craving.

The food was delicious but over priced for the portion size. Could have eaten 3 shawarma wraps for that price where I used to live in SD. We left still hungry. Still have yet to find a great Mediterranean restaurant in Wichita since moving here.

I got the beef shawarma wrap, shoestring fries and Spanish eggplant(recommended by one of the staff). It took a little over ten minutes for me to get my takeout, which was a bit too long in my opinion. The wrap was okay. Lots of meat but too dry for my liking. I did not like the Spanish eggplant at all. There was no flavor(in my opinion). I liked the shoestring fries the best. My expectations were high because of the amounts of likes and positive reviews they had on Facebook but I was somewhat disappointed.

Update: after my initial review I was contacted by the owner and kitchen manager. They are equipping their staff with the necessary information to help future customers if they have food allergies. I was very impressed with their quick response and attentiveness. That speaks volumes! It shows they care about their customers as well as wanting to provide quality food at a reasonable price. Next time we are in the area we will be trying this place again. — — — — — — #1 — if you have a «food allergy» DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE. I don’t blame the 2 girls that were working here on the Sunday evening around 6pm that we went. I do however blame the owners for not equipping them to be able to take care of their customers. I found this place on Unilocal.I am a vegetarian with a cow dairy allergy. Neither girl working could tell me if any of the sauces had dairy because«they were made by 2 people in the morning. They don’t have the recipes and they don’t know» I also asked about the feta. If we was made with cow, sheep or goat milk — they had no clue. They didn’t know about one single ingredient unless it was listed on the menu. How are you supposed to take care of your customers with any special needs? I did end up ordering the salad with falafel. My husband got the chicken wrap. I saw the order come up and went up there to pick it up. I asked the lady taking orders again about the sauces since my husband had asked first because I was in disbelief that they had no way to find out about the tahini(which I’ve never seen dairy in tahini sauce but who knows), the garlic sauce or the Sriracha mayo. «Ok. May I have our food please?» — granted it been sitting up there for several minutes now. THEN — the girl taking the orders says«yes but let me take their order first» and by «their order» it was FIVE people! After she took the third persons order I said«may I please have our food?» Then she handed me our food. It was barely warm anymore. Now– I will blame the girl working there for that one. How hard is it to pick a plate up and hand it to me? I’m standing at the counter. I’m not even asking you to bring it to us! Onto the food. The hummus was VERY bland. My salad was brown but I’m not sure if it was partly because of the dressing. It was wilted — could have been because it sat there for so long. The falafel was soaked in tahini sauce and we’re getting soggy but overall the base taste was pretty good. My husband said his wrap was tasty but it wouldn’t be a place he’d be dying to go back to. He wanted to give 1 star. I’m sure partly because of being cautious about my dairy allergy but the food was decent so I’m giving it 2 stars.

First things first, this is merely a first impression review and will update on future visits. This is based upon my opinion as well as my boyfriend’s, because I’m a vegetarian and he is not. So, We stopped into Meddy’s for an early dinner today after hearing rave reviews for this place. I love Mediterranean/Lebanese cuisine, so I was all about it. After glancing at the impressive menu, I decided on a falafel wrap and cup of lentil soup, and my boyfriend decided on a beef shawarma and a side of shoestring fries. I was very impressed by all the vegetarian/vegan friendly options. Our food got to us very quickly. They were both nice large portions on our wraps. Also, the side fries are gigantic! My falafel wrap was so delicious, could have used a bit more hummus, but still very good. I was extremely disappointed by the lentil soup, as it’s my favorite kind of soup and I make it at home often. They used far too many bay leaves in it and it’s all you can taste. The fries are pretty delicious, but my boyfriend wasn’t really impressed with his beef shawarma. He said the meat was mostly gristle and not very good, and was also disappointed that they don’t have lamb. So, I’m slightly more optimistic than my fella about this place. I will definitely come back to try the tomato soup and possibly a falafel bowl. I will update this review when the day comes, this place just didn’t entirely live up to the hype it gets.

I really enjoyed this place. I was a bit hesitant to try it because a family member said the meat was dry. However, my experience was the opposite. I ordered Chicken Shawarma platter from the recommendation of the cashier. My sides were hummus and a fattoush salad. The hummus and salad weren’t very flavorful. The pita chips that came along with the hummus had a good toasted seasoning. I tried some of my friends shoestring fries and they were delicious. The chicken in my wrap was cooked perfectly and quite tasty. Meddy’s in house made sauces made everything much better. Garlic mayo was delicious! The place was clean and service was quick.
