Jacob Liquor Exchange

This is the best liquor store that I have ever been to. They have a huge variety of wine, beer, and liquor with lots of unique flavors. Make sure everybody with you has their ID’s or they won’t sell to you. They will allow your very young children to go in with you but not older kids. The rewards program will pay off.

The wine selection is absolutely wonderful, but the older cashier that checked us out might be one of the rudest cashiers I have ever seen!

Simply the best liquor store in the east side. Selection is great and decent prices if u r in their rewards program it is hard to find cheaper price than this.

Amazing selection of beer from around the world and great scotch selection! The size of the place is Hugh and can find just about anything you want. The staff was very helpful. Asked for a certain Belgian beer and they helped find it.

I’ve upgraded my previous review from 4 to 5 stars. Fantastic variety, good sales on top shelf brands, plus their rewards program is excellent. Their best attribute, and the reason for the 5^th star to my prior rating, is their very knowledgeable, helpful, and always friendly staff.

Love this place, great selection of wines, rums, tequilas, and beers. I’m sure many other things as well, but this place is huge and I can only drink so much…
My hubby and I drive an hour (one way) just to come here for our beverages. Worth a look, and the prices are lower than most liquor stores near, and far.

I have had 3 negative experiences with this liquor store and will not be back. Customer service is not very good and the staff have been rude and not helpful. Plus the prices are on the high side if your looking for booze spend your money elsewhere.

Great deals!!! It has great options without the grungy feel you get at some of the mom and pop joints. They even have a rewards plan here.

When I head back to the family homestead, I’m swiftly reminded of my Seattlelite lazy decadence with which I can thoughtlessly pick up bottles or cases of wine along with my groceries and browse myriad microbrews to see which one’s coming home with me for the night.
In the Bible belt, accomplishing the mission of procuring the evening’s necessary beverages takes a bit more planning and effort. Fortunately, Jacob Liquor exists as a way to easify my shopping as much as possible. I’ve never actually perused the wine section, but considering it takes up about a third or more of the huge store (which used to be a Barnes and Noble when I was younger, for a sense of scale), I’m sure I’d find plenty to love.
But when I’m traveling, I prefer to hone in on local or relatively local beers, ones I can’t get at home. It makes the night so much more festive! And Jacob Liquor doesn’t disappoint on this front. You can mix and match six-​packs with a great selection of twelve-​ounce bottles, or focus your energies on the larger bombers. Lots of beers have useful RateBeer tags and reviews, and I was able to find plenty of regional brews that I’ve either never heard of, or can’t find in the PNW. Pretty much everything that Boulevard brews is here, and there’s a generous selection of plenty of Colorado breweries as well. And Wednesdays gets you a discount on microbrews: perfect, since that’s the evening I happened in!
There’s plenty of beer beyond micros here, so if your tastes run more to standard, be assured you’ll find pretty much anything you need or want. Friendly service folks roam and offer help without being pushy, and there’s plenty to explore on your own. I can say in all truthfulness that a visit home isn’t complete without a trip to Jacob Liquor!

First of all, I have never lived in a city where I have to go to three different stores to get (1) alcohol (2) set-​ups; and (3) cigarettes, and I find this to be totally lame and ridiculous. Second of all, if I have to go to the trouble of getting decent beer at a liquor store, I expect it to be COLD! Never have I bought beer at Jacob Liquor Exchange that was cold. Is it asking too much to buy cold beer? I think not.

This place is great! If they don’t have it (which is not likely), they will order it (as long as Kansas sells it, which is the main limitation). They have reasonable prices, a good selection of wine, beer and spirits. I go here for microbrews because they keep a big selection in the fridge.

Definitely the biggest liquor store I’ve ever been into… the size of a small grocery store, but entirely dedicated to booze, it’s definitely a sight to behold. I settled on a 6-​pack of various single bottles and was able to find 6 new beers to try (most of which I’ve never seen before).
The staff were beyond helpful, and very knowledgeable. They clearly know and love the product.

Really… it would be hard to find a better place.

Jacob’s is to wine (and to a lesser extent, liquor) as Goebel is to beer. This large warehouse of alcohol devotes a majority of its space to aisles and aisles of wine from every corner of the globe.
That’s not to say the beer selection is poor — quite the opposite. Prices here seemed to be a little lower than where I usually shop, too.

All I can say is WOW, this place is huge! It makes a BevMo store look small in comparison.
If you love wine, half their store is dedicated to it.
Beer? I found a lot of beers I haven’t seen before. If you love beer you need to do yourself a favor and visit here.
And as for the hard stuff, they have plenty of the regular variety you find plus a lot of names I hadn’t seen before.

This place is probably one of the most expensive place to get liquor in Wichita. Their service is TERRIBLE. I suppose they only treat you well, if you drive a fancy car and enter wearing an Armani suit.
